Well well well... do we have a discussion topic in this place...😆.. Since I am in mood to rant ..and well I am supposed to do it in only specific places so I chose this separate post .
Consider this as OPEN letter to all forumwasis who are here or might land up to favor their specific characters .
Dear forumwasis,
From time I have joined this place and expressed my views in favor of Karna and given open display of my affection towards karna, I have seen different kind of attitude around me and many people like me including my friends too have faced issues in this forum and even at other places. So here are few things I would like to clear
- Karna lovers do have right to express their love for any other character in the epic. Whether be it Arjun ,Draupadi.
- If Karna is our favorite character that doesnt mean we are atheist. Thats personal choice of people and yes one who loves karna can be a krishna devotee too.
- Karna lovers are not BHAKTS or devotee, they cant be as they dont condone every act of Karna as right. They love him as they understand him.
- Sorry for this one..😆 but they are not ADHARMIS😆
- We love Karna doesnt mean we dont have right to talk about any other character.I can have a perspective of every other characters of Mahabharat and yes I do have right to make a post on other characters even if I dont like them.
And lastly I am sorry if I sounded rude above but this biasness and unknown hatred that you carry in your hearts for the people who slightly have different view than you is what made me post this. We are all humans with our own minds and liking. Please respect contrary liking and dont think that person who doesnt like your favorite character is from MARS.
With love,
Riti
Please dont abuse / disrespect .If you disagree, do give thoughts in respectable manner. I will appreciate.

Completely agree with you Riti.😊 I don't care what others say about me. But in my understanding, we don't need to hate or dislike a particular character because we love someone else. All characters in MB are more or less the same for me. But I am always tagged as Karna lover coz I write more about him. I write more about him because he fascinates me to write. He is mysterious and lovable like morning fog. Nothing else. But since I cannot resist tagging alone, I stopped caring what others say. Some people write a lot of beautiful things. But when reality comes, that all evaporate into inert gases. And yeah, I call a stupid stupid, a nonsense nonsense!!! That is in my genes. Cannot change!!!😆

Agree with you cent percent Ritima!! I am a Karna fan, Karna lover, whatever you will, but I am also ardent Krishna devotee. And I love Arjun and many others including Draupadi. Being a Karna fan does not mean I cant love any other. I too have noticed this behaviour on the part of certain forum members who talk as if some characters are their personal property and anyone who comments/ criticizes on them are considered weirdos!! If we like one character, that does not mean we must automatically hate someone. Nor does it prevent us from liking someone else as well. So, my humble request to all is to respect differences. No MB character is anyone's personal property. We are all free to have opinions. And we should respect opinion of all, even if we disagree

Love this. I practically love all the characters of Mahabhrat (excluding only Dushshahan and Yudhisthir) and equally hate them all.
The way I have fought of Duryodhan in my family that they feel that I am his lover. But this certainly not mean I dont like Bheem, I like him as well, same is with Karna. Loving Karna does not mean hating Arjun.

Very rightly spoken Riti. In fact, to each his own. We might take a liking or a distinct feeling of distaste to a certain character according to our choices but that doesn't make us immune to the appreciation of the ones we do not like, where it is due. Yes, I, personally admit, I have my weaknesses towards Karna, but that wouldn't blind me to his inappropriate conduct during Draupadi's Vastraharanam. Likewise, yes, I do not like Arjun, but that doesn't make me forget the fact, that he was a very good warrior.
Trying to determine someone's preference is always inappropriate, as is judging them. It is very vital to note that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, -correction- their 'personal' opinions. Also, dislike is one thing, and hatred is another. And disliking one isn't a disqualification criterion for liking another, specifically at a point, or in general.

Very well spoken, Riti!😃
