And there's a difference between love and attraction

Didn't bother reading through the entire thread and based my post on your OP:
"it's nothing wrong if they had a little attraction for each other"

Either way, my post was (in a greater sense) meant for those who who want a love scene between these two.

People...I think we should stop now...This is a show on Karna n not on Draupadi...And Draupadi has not even made her entry...Let's focus on Karna now...
Please stop before we are bombarded with DT notes...

Shyam bhai...leave it...Unless someone goes through the kind of experience that we have had in the previous forum n outside IF, one will not understand y we see no difference between love n attraction...Let's leave it...

Now I'll grow allergic to Jambu fruit...the fruit..

She wasn't attracted.
She called him a 'little man' or 'insignificant man'. Not a sign of attraction.

It depends significantly on the context though. Love is after all an attraction, and an attraction (in today's sense) can lead to relationships, both temporary and long-term.

Most love stories start on the basis that someone likes another. That's an attraction, something about the other person that makes you want to be closer to them, makes you want to be around them, etc.

It is pecieved that Karna and Draupadi are the most complex characters in Mahabharat.
But most characters in the epic are complex and grey.
Karna and Draupadi are strong characters who go through a lot of humiliation for not their faults (though karna does commit a whole lot more mistakes and sins).
There are a lot of similarities between them as well both are strong, very good looking, have great personalities are sharp tongued (as they had to stand up for themselves as nobody else would).

But does this make them compatible no
because in the epic they only had 2 encounters both bitter so where does love or attraction come into the picture. There is a sense of uncomfortable feelings from a lot of people because of draupadi 's 5 husbands and this feeling is present because of the various invasions from the middle ages and victorian eras which have influenced us where the concept of more than 1 husband makes people uncomfortable.
The romantic angle between karna and draupadi makes it more like a forbidden love story or a love doomed as such a great war is fought because of this love similar like helen of troy or antony and cleopatra.

I dont mind if its fiction but that angle reduces the greatness of the epic.
Though these are my fav 2 characters I never thought or knew about the angle till i read poi
Bringing an attraction between these characters reduces the greatness of these characters
But to each their own.

I hope they portray the exact scenes between them without white washing or black washing any one

Bingo!

I am a big admirer of Panchali. Her talks with Yudhi (post VH) and Bheem (before Keechak. And no she didn't seduce him or even dress up to go to him unlike popular perception) and even the one with Govind before shanthi prastav shows how many millenia ahead she was, in her thinking.

Karna was a man of his times, and behaved as such. He did have his own good points though, his loyalty to Dury being #1.

I have seen Karna fans and Panchali fans and people who are fans of both. But no one who truly is a fan of Panchali could ever want her to be with someone or even feel the slightest attraction to someone who instigated a brutal assault on her.

Not only that, the badass woman called him insignificant and lumped him with the likes of Shakuni!

KaLi is really all about wanting either 1) ratings / money / more traffic to online forum😆, or 2) victim blaming

I am wondering where the mods are. In the MB forum, we had a general rule of not discussing KaLi. Plus didnt people say this forum should be limited to discussing Karna? Leave Panchali out of this.

Completely agree with you AnuMP,a real Draupadi fan would never want Draupadi to be paired with karna.this karna-draupadi angle doesn't make any sense to me and this KaLi thing should be stopped now. Frankly I don't even like pandava-Draupadi pairing, draupadi is great when she is not paired with anyone.
Guys let's just stop discussing Draupadi here, right now she isn't even related to the show so let's just stop it!

Unfortunately, no mods are mentioned on the first page. Probably IF dev team thot that since the show has just started, fights and bashing will take time, hence appointing mods can wait. Little do they know, how fan mentality works !!

@Mahima.
Hugs!

Finally someone who thinks Pandava-Panchali pairing is a bunch of nonsense as well.

Panchali is awesome all on her own!😊
