It is pecieved that Karna and Draupadi are the most complex characters in Mahabharat.
But most characters in the epic are complex and grey.
Karna and Draupadi are strong characters who go through a lot of humiliation for not their faults (though karna does commit a whole lot more mistakes and sins).
There are a lot of similarities between them as well both are strong, very good looking, have great personalities are sharp tongued (as they had to stand up for themselves as nobody else would).
But does this make them compatible no
because in the epic they only had 2 encounters both bitter so where does love or attraction come into the picture. There is a sense of uncomfortable feelings from a lot of people because of draupadi 's 5 husbands and this feeling is present because of the various invasions from the middle ages and victorian eras which have influenced us where the concept of more than 1 husband makes people uncomfortable.
The romantic angle between karna and draupadi makes it more like a forbidden love story or a love doomed as such a great war is fought because of this love similar like helen of troy or antony and cleopatra.
I dont mind if its fiction but that angle reduces the greatness of the epic.
Though these are my fav 2 characters I never thought or knew about the angle till i read poi
Bringing an attraction between these characters reduces the greatness of these characters
But to each their own.
I hope they portray the exact scenes between them without white washing or black washing any one
