Keeping a couple of scenes/moments aside, this episode sucked so bad. 😳 All thanks to Brad and Lemming, thanks for ruining the second episode which by the way should have concentrated on building up a better future for S12. I'm so mad at the writing and the episode that you can expect me to not say much but instead post posts from tumblr for the only reason that the atrocity of the episode needs to be discussed. 😊

"Can't send Lucifer to the cage while he's in a vessel."

^^ If I didn't love my computer so much, I could have smashed the screen when Rowena said that, you know? 'Cause wth the entire season 5 was about then? They actually negated Sam's sacrifice...just like that. I can't decide if I want to cry or break things. 😳

That will be becus one of them has a husband who is back to running the show. 😆

You know me well. 😆 😳 I got to know abt pathetic duo writing this epi last night and all my dreams and expectations over the hiatus crumbled and shattered right then and there. They usually ruin the show by mid season finale but this time they went all guns blazing, lets ruin from the beginning 😆 When I woke up I found people beyond traumatized beyond repair 😆 Pathetic duo has surpassed people's expectation of being horrendous it seems. I know they are bad but traumatized fandom is a whole new thing for me 😆

Its like a bad version of French Mistake is going on and everyone is screaming "what is happening?" while the writers are like " an atrocity is happening" 😆

THIS SUCKS.

I know J2 can't really do anything about it...but this episode had me wondering as to how and why did they agree upon executing this episode? Its beyond me. Yeah, the entire fandom seems to be echoing just one sentiment - wth?! 😳 This episode seems to have done one good thing - bought the entire fandom together in unity. 😆

Can't believe, I am saying this but I completely agree with you! 😵

This episode is so below my expectations.😔 This for me was most awaited episode because of Sam finally finding out about Dean being alive and then Mary brought back to life and what I get in return? So not happy with "reunion" scene at Sam's rescue. I could see Sam's confusion and trying to understand what's real and what's not... that's the only thing that was good about the whole scene.

I think, I only survived this episode due to Sam Winchester! Hats off to Jared Padelecki. The ending scene of Mary & Sam finally hugging and the Sam in his room... 😭😭

Other than that, this whole Lucifer storyline is useless and seems so forced. England MOL, I am still not on board with this.

On the other hand... BB10 is so entertaining!😆😆

My Feelings on Supernatural 12x2- Mamma Mia
To be honest, I am never impressed by Ross-Leming & Buckner episodes, this one included. Their episodes are ALWAYS full of "W*F" moments of poor characterization and plot issues. For example, Cas' season 5 esque innocence and navet was stronger than ever, but this is not the human-like being he has truly evolved into. Why would Cas say "you humans make things too complicated" when in fact, Cas has been making things complicated for seasons and seasons now, because of how much humanity has affected him. His angelic purity is no more. Also, the beginning sequence of sex with the WOL made no sense. Why would Sam trust someone just because she had sex with him? He's so much smarter than that, especially since what happened with Ruby. Oh, and we can't forget Rowena's sudden decision to be a normal person?? Where the HELL did that come from? It would be one thing if there had been previous hints leading up to the idea that Rowena didn't want to be all powerful anymore, but that arc never happened, so the sudden change of heart was WAY out of character. As usual, the actors manage to portray their characters in a convincing and truthful way, but even that is compromised when the writing characterizes them in ways that don't make sense. To me, Ross-Leming/Buckner episodes read like ill thought through fan fiction erring on the side of violence and easy cliches. A show like Supernatural with such complex characters under such constantly shifting states of mind deserves more care from its writer's. I know Dabb is running the show, so I suspect he is doing an awful lot of positive plot control, but episode writers fill in the blanks, and that's where this episode fell short for me- the details. We need more Robbie Thompsons and Andrew Dabbs in the crew, because they always find (found) bits of reality even in the smallest detail, which is imperative to Supernatural. I was, however, pleased to see some character development in that Sam & Dean's emotions in regards to "family" are being acknowledged.
Other than that, Springfield is a fine Lucifer so far, but how will anyone compare to the quirkiness of the Lucifer that Mark Pellegrino created for us, and the stellar re-imagination by Misha Collins last season? Big shoes to fill, but he's doing fine for being a newbie to the show. My heartstrings are being tugged by the new Winchester family dynamic, and I look forward to ways in which they deal with working through the past and coming to terms with feelings and ideas that may come up that have been long repressed. These British men of letters need to disappear, I really don't want to deal with a whole season of these vanilla beans.

Supernatural needs to live up to take advantage of its characters...especially the monsters and angels. Like that sloppy cover-up of the dead Lady of Letters? W*F was that? Castiel is an angel.
He could have disappeared the van and the body without a trace. Instead he and Dean push it a foot off the road and hid it behind a tree branch?

Dean and Mary knew of Sam's location down the the city and state, but they drove further away by going back to the bunker FOR AN ENTIRE DAY while Castiel, the angel went to scout locations.

He could've done that while Mary and Dean were on route. The whole "I don't know how to be around mom" conversation could've been had a gas station.
If they want to heal Sam FINE, but literally how hard is it to show Sam collapsing in pain and Dean begging Cas to heal him...and then he does it. So it's not so shocking and lazy to just find Sam inexplicably healthy in the last scene. Even if they heal his body, his mind would still need some time to recover.

Dean's whole "Taken" moment was so overblown. He stood there and got himself caught and then fired a warning shot instead of killing the bitch that tortured his brother for at least two days straight.

We know Sam and Dean love each other. So where was the EPIC broment we were waiting for? There wasn't even a hint of it, but I'm so glad I got to see Rowena on a date.
---

Does Bucklemming give a shit about this show?
Honestly. I'm happy that Sam got to reunite with his mom and actually hug her for real. That was good.
But what about everything else at the end? Where is our Sam and Dean reunion? They barely acknowledged the reunion that I've been waiting months for. Where is my prolonged "I thought you were dead', hug?" - Yes, I know there wasn't exactly time for it, but still. I wanted a little more than what we got. And to make it better, let's just have Cas disappear with no mention of him once we get back to the bunker.
Oh, and Sam. Yeah, he's totally recovered (I guess from the Cas moments that we didn't get), and once again, any psychological trauma is completely ignored. Again. Because that never gets old.
I'm probably going to rant more about this episode - I did like some of it, I promise - after I rewatch it tomorrow, so you've been warned.

This whole Lucifer plot line is ridiculous, they should've just taken the easy out and killed him last season.

1) Angel lore in general said they can only inhabit people of a certain bloodline most attuned to them. And we saw what happens when they try to use an unfit person as a vessel, lots of blowing up

2) All of season 5 revolved around Sam being the ONLY perfect vessel for Lucifer. Even Nick who functioned as a temp vessel started disintegrating. Last season I just had to reconcile him using Cas a vessel by thinking maybe because Cas's body is really more angel than human at this point, different rules might apply. But the idea that there was another vessel he could use (without blowing up or slow melting) just walking the earth is ridiculous.

3) The red glowing eyes? Why. This has never been a part of his character and it was a cheesy move I previously loved that they avoided

4) Lucifer has 6 wings doesn't he? But either way they should be damaged AF. HE'S THE ORIGINAL FALLEN ANGEL!

5) The acid bath shouldn't have effected him at. We've seen angels get shot and stabbed with no effect, they protect their vessels without thinking. And even if Lucifer's abilities were restrained by Rowena, there's no legitimate reason to believe it would hurt him since I don't think Angels have to feel their vessel's pain. Plus why did Crowley think burning his face would "destroy the vessel" enough to send Lucifer to the cage? Maybe a literal acid bath where he destroyed the entire body, but a burnt face?

They should quit while they're behind.

You couldn't believe the episode sucked or you never thought you'd agree to my views someday. 😆 Exactly, this episode was the most awaited one for me because Sam would come to Dean's alive, his mother is back, we'd getter a proper reunion and all of those things I thought might have materialised in the episode but alas! Jared's been giving stellar performances, the last two episodes. <3 I haven't been watching BB. 😆

I can't believe it sucked so bad that I actually agree with your views.😆
I know.. it's either they didn't shoot it or it got chopped off. If there is reunion scene like we want and they chopped it off then I will be even more pissed than right now! 😡

Premiere was good but this episode was just 🤬.

So far it seems like Sam/Jared's season and I am dying for that. I really hope.. these writers don't write any of other episodes and actually for real this time, we actually get S12 from Sam's POV. The issues of Sam which needs to be addressed should be addressed!

This season, I don't even care much about Destiel, I am just more pissed at how Sam's character is getting treated by writers and also so happy to see Jared's powerful performance as Sam. I know it's early but just in 2 episodes Jared gave such new level of powerful performances... gosh.
