^^ Honestly, after this episode, I'm going to make sure I go in with any expectations to watch the episode. Nope. The less invested you're, the better. I hope this season turns out be great but no expectations is a better policy to be abide by. 😆

I think, I need to go by this rule as well.

The things I felt most bothered about -

1) Toni resorting to methods that are down right horrifying and disgusting...what folks are terming as mind rape. That bit was seriously disturbing. This ain't HBO, idk why the writers felt the need to incorporate this bit of writing. Like, what? Sam's not been tortured enough over the course of the years? 😳

Mind Rape - Yes, exactly! This is what that was. Why Sam? Always, it's Sam, who gets trapped into this. Why him? And W*F was point of this? I mean.. really?

2) No proper Winchester reunion. I understand those three are still reeling under the effects of what's happened, what's been happening and what they have just gone through. But 'hey dean, hey sam' isn't a cut out for it. -.-

EXACTLY!! I WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT SINCE S11 FINALE! 😡😡 Where the hell this went? Dean, trying to remain calm in 12x01, OK.. I get it. But this episode... what the heck is wrong with him?

3) Brushing off Sam's trauma. YET AGAIN. Castiel might have patched him up off his physical injuries but psychological trauma takes a lot of time to be dealt with.

^^ I don't think, SPN writers even know what is psychological trauma is! I have been waiting since Season 8 for them to start addressing them, but nope. Nothing! 🤬

4) I didn't mind it in the first episode but Dean's urgency to look for Sam didn't go unnoticed. He may have been in his character all the while but I just found it a little hard to digest 'cause he was, idk, unusually calm about it all?

5) Negating season 5 again and again and all over again. That's not just any lame continuity error. I call that a debacle, a huge one at that. 😳

I am so done with this. Their obsession with Lucifer is just annoying the heck out of me.

Things I happened to like -

1) The family feels in the episode, at the place where Sam was held captive, at the bunker on dinner table. All of Dean and Mary's scenes, awkward yet adorable and all hitting right in the feels. ❤️

This was cute scene. ❤️

2) Sam and Mary's talk-hug. GOLD. PURE GOLD. <3 Even in that state of his, Sam's awkward yet eager attempts to know the woman he's never known but loved all his life regardless. He brings her coffee, he gives her John's journal, he tells her he knows how it feels like to be back from dead, he tells her he'll be around if she ever wanted to talk and he tells her her coming back has filled the biggest blank in his life. Isn't Sam Winchester a beautiful, beautiful soul? ❤️

The highlight and the saving grace of this episode! This is the best scene so far. ❤️ This scene is so beautiful and how raw Sam and Mary's emotions were. ❤️

Again why do they write Cas in an epi only to end up explaining how he will not be taking part in the action becus angel power is apparently the most useless thing in this show.I mean why just why will u bring a character into a epi if u don't have anything worth his time ? All he did was scout that too behind the scene and then babysit Mary for a while in the epi. This is what season 2 Castiel was all about ? I don't remember.

Is anyone gutsy enough to go ask J2 a serious question about the show instead of asking about their wives, kids and them being Fathers and pranks?
Just let them know that the questions are for the writers but since we can't reach them.
1. Do they really think incorporating rapey, abusive torture scenes is a good idea if they don't care about the aftermath at all?

2. How is it possible that they are so obsessed with Sam being tied and tortured like this and at the same time also obsessed with normalizing it to the point where BOOM Sam is now healed and serving tea? Do they really think its possible for a torture and physical/mental abuse victim to be just ... OK? Because Brother and Mom are alive?
Is it because a) Sam is a Man b) Sam is Sam and he has faced so much torture and abuse that now it doesn't even phase him and its just another thing that he is just OK with and has accepted?

3. If Sam were a girl - will they still be showing him in a Romamtic'/Sexual scene with his abuser. So basically because they have implied that Sam was raped by Lucifer - Now we are taking the next step and Sam's torturer will just be his lover? Mind raping is now 'Romance' to dabb?
Is this the message they are trying to give? That someone should have so less self worth that they'd think its OK to have your abuser/rapist as your lover?

4. Why are such sensitive issues and elements taken up? Why show Sam being tortured so elaborately just to forget about it and act like it didn't happen - only mention the torture the NEXT time he is getting tortured? There is no sense in including these heavy scenes if SPN Show runner and writers will treat it with such insensitivity.

5. Why are there writers on the show who don't know the basics of it and have NO idea about how to utilize Jensen and Jared's strong chemistry?

6. Why is there such a disconnect between J2 and some of the writers? Why is the show runner talking about emotional reunions and then Mary's reunion with 'John's car' and Dean's reunion with Pie was more emotional than Sam and Dean's?

7. Why was Dean's rescuing of Sam was so overblown only for Dean to get caught and then .. Nothing? So Dean is now only going to hurt someone who hurt Sam if Sam is hacked in 2 pieces instead of being in one piece?

8. Sam is tortured for 2 days and Dean didn't go after Toni? There was a time when Sam being hurt sent Dean into a frenzy - That is how he was JUST LAST SEASON. And then suddenly the writers who wrote this nonsensical episode think that Dean will just be that calm after seeing Sam's condition?
Are we going to leave everything off the screen - like how is Sam healed? Why is he having family time after the next scene where he wasn't even in a state to stand properly?

9. Is lack of reaction the new it thing on SPN? Torture, mind rape - no reaction. Sam is being tortured - his family is at home waiting for a call.

10. If others don't care - fine. Where is Sam's perspective on the aftermath of being physically and emotionally violated for 2 days.
Oh, or wait. Its because Sam is too strong and has been tortured for centuries - so 2 days of torture hardly matters?

11. Do J2 realize how horrible some of the writers are with the canon of the show and just how disconnected they are from each other? They all write Sam and Dean differently according to the situation?
