When Dean said Lock and Key , he was making a reference to himself and Sam. In context, he was talking about how not Sam is responsible only but Dean is too since he was the one who got the mark.
He was explaining how both Sam and Dean have played equal significant role in releasing the darkness. Dean was the Lock and Sam was the key.

The whole of fandom was waiting for Sam to address the kill first talk later thing they had going on though.
They were hoping for it in S9 with Dean deceiving Sam and taking away his body autonomy and keeping it from Sam.And the fact that they have been so fixated on saving each other for years that they really haven't been doing the family business- saving people.Sam said they had to change, not that they need to stop saving each other.Just focus more on helping others while they are at it Something they haven't been concentrating on since s7.
Which means the infection won't put Sam in enough danger to warrant them both to concentrate on finding the cure or have Sam dead situation.
p.s God, I am dying to watch epi 4.

That's weird , I find a lot of annoyance towards Cass since s8 among the fans.He was badass back in s4 but now he gets treated like a coat hanger by the writers.For a supporting character, he creates a strong reaction among audience.It is like they glossed over his involvement in the apocalypse, ruining Dean's work for Sam's wall jut because he wanted to district Dean and bringing Sam's body back to life while the soul was still stuck with Satan down in hell.
Today, a fan asked Jensen why Dean didn't kill Cas and he said that Misha has a contract and they get time off when Misha is working and they love their off time 🤣

If I didn't know what Supernatural is and who J2 are, I would have been convinced that its some research field which Sindu and Medha happened to be experts of. 😳 You guys never cease to amaze me. Oh and welcome to the forum, frenzy.

That reminds me that there is a university that offers a course on Supernatural.Like studying themes,filming techniques,psychology, use of music in supernatural.I know many have conducted seminars on those subjects in their colleges too. 😆

I get why would you feel like that. it this show takes complicated to a new level.Imagine trying to explain French Mistake episode to someone without confusing the shit out of them because you can't just say 'Jared and Jensen playing Sam and Dean playing Jared and Jensen playing Sam and Dean'.
J2 find that so funny, that if you are not a fan of the show and you are walking past a convention hall in a hotel room, and there are tons of people talking about Lucifer and Azazel and Thor's hammer and alternate universe and purgatory.Surely a cult gathering or nut jobs. 😆
