Ok first of all I live in the UK so unfortunately me watching at 5pm won't help the trp. Annoying but unfortunately understandable. They have their audiance in India so why would they care if they get thousands of views elsewhere. Espcially if thats how they get funded.
Anyway though I can't do anything personally to help, I did have a crazy idea that could help increase ssel's trp but it may be a long shot. After researching a little on how trps work it seems only a few thousands of homes who have the people meter would get judged on what they watch. I was just thinking that if they record which channels are on, they wouldn't know if the tv is even on or not. So for example if you have a 9 to 5 job if you leave the house with the channel on star plus before you go then it'll pick up that you're watching ssel even though the tv isn't on. If you have others at home you could kindly ask them to keep the channel on starplus for 5pm for half an hour as I don't see any other show that is so called popular at 5pm. If you want to go all the way, you leave the tv on all day with no one home on the star plus channel so it picks ssel up either way. I call it trying to cheat the system as star plus has in a way cheated on ssel by giving it a near unwatchable slot at pm.
Just an idea which could work if all the indian watchers her band together and try for one week. See what happens?
