I agree with Megs_Megs that SP should have just cast a darker actress instead, but SP obviously thinks 'dark is ugly', 'cause they don't wanna cast actual dark people in the show as protagonists. I find it pretty insulting that they would never cast an actor who was actually dark in a show. Rajshri is not even that dark.

The reason Suhani is so popular is because people can relate to her. I don't understand why so many people have a problem with her being portrayed as a dark girl.

It's not about her being darker, it's about making her darker for some strange and sudden realization (so missing from the show itself) that that was the supposed brief. Nothing about the character they screwed with, nothing about personality, but sudden attention to a factor that should be unimportant, and if not, that should have been given more attention in the storyline. Maybe some SP person suddenly woke up and thought: 'Dayyum, she's supposed to be plain and nobody's buying it in spite of cvs' best efforts, so make her darker, dark means not-good-looking.' What shit is this?
Her clothes have often been an eyesore, but okay. I don't want her dressed to the nines--she looks fine in some of her recent clothes. But that dance thing, that wedding outfit--that was supposed to be dressed up but looked ugh. IMO. Why? Is it to redeem Yuvraj for still liking her in spite of his shitty contest speech? But why externals? Use your writing to show real issues, not take the easy route by dressing her down or hideously or making her suddenly look boot-polished.

In these serials its normally a persons eyes that the focus is on her they dnt even want to use that for suhani. Rajshri has nice eyes, nice lips(which are never highlighted), nice cheek bones. Whatever they do to her ppl will always see suhani as beautiful. I dnt really knw what sort of dark is dark though and would be acceptable and would be a true reflection of a truly dark person.

Wow she looks really bad. And not because she is dark but because it is so FAKE!... It looks so unnatural. It is actually insulting darker girls in a way and making people think that they are not good looking because of such bad makeup techniques. I would be personally offended by this if my complexion was darker.

You know what people? I'm tired of trying to defend opinions that should not be offensive unless the reader's vision takes them in a light in which it wasn't conceived.

Hi guys, first i want to tell that i am a dark tanned indian girl and i think i am beutifull i feel totally confortable in my skin. And dark girl can be beutifull its not only about the color but the facial expressions, the eyes the smile that also speaks. And every girl likes to have nice clothes so why they don't give to Suhani in the show.
