Hello people!
I know we're not fans of Soumya (well, all minus one hardcore fan😉), but I find myself wondering if all her sins are going to come back and bite her in the ass.
Dadi isn't a nice person, we know that. BUT her whole mission is based on a lie. A lie that Soumya, for some unknown reason, doesn't feel the need to correct.
We often say that she is irredeemable, but I think thats because she hasn't actually been honest with anybody. Krishna, Suhani, Yuvraj, Dadi, Rags, Menka - she's lied to them all.
Krishna - Soumya married him knowing what he was, knowing she was marrying a guy from a lower status. Rather than be open with him about her fears and issues with his family, she lied. I don't agree with how she was treated by her MIL or SIL BUT, again, what did she think was going to happen? That a man with very little money would hire a cook? In life you will often find yourself with people you don't like/want to be around, but you adapt. Suhani puts up with so much abuse and bullshit, but Princess Soumya couldn't handle a 1/4 of that. She treated marriage like it was a game and she lost.
Suhani - Ahh I could go on forever here! Soumya is just as guilty as Pankaj, Yuvraj and Pratima for Suhani's marriage. Why the hell didn't she tell Her BEST FRIEND Yuvraj loved her? Keep in mind this is well before she moved into BH, she could have saved Suhani the heartache by being honest. I would rather know in the first few days of my marriage than to live a lie for months. When Suhani mentioned the second hand clothes it got me thinking; how long has Soumya looked down on her "best friend"? Yuvraj was her cast off, unwanted, so he's good enough for Suhani even though he doesn't love her? Its like that scene in Cinderella, where she's made a dress from the unwanted scraps of her stepsisters. They didn't want them, but when they see how beautiful she looks they tear into her, demanding everything back.
Yuvraj - Soumya and Yuvraj are as bad as each other. He became infatuated with her beauty, she eventually became infatuated with the idea of being a Birla bahu, and the money and status that come with it. She claims to love him but thats a lie. A part of me wants the two of them to get married, just to watch Soumya's realisation of what this entails. His OCD, his mood swings, Suhani takes them all with a pinch of salt, but Soumya doesn't have the personality that Suhani does to fall back on. She's created a whole fantasy life of the moments they've shared that didn't actually happen.
Dadi - This is a revelation I'm looking forward to. Dadi is under the impression that Yuvraj is in love with Soumya based on two things:
1: She knows he "loved" her and married Suhani due to Pankaj.
2: Soumya neglects to mention certain things.
When dadi sends Soumya off to seduce Yuvraj/make him take her out/spend time together etc etc, she is under the impression that Yuvraj is reciprocating these feelings. Soumya neglects to mention that half the time he seems fed up, and the other half he's asking where Suhani is. She can't really be that dense... There are plenty of beautiful, fair women to hook Yuvraj up with - Dadi's focusing on Soumya because she thinks thats what Yuvraj wants. Courtesy of Soumya.
Rags and Menka - These two don't like Suhani because she shows them up - theres no chance of that happening with Soumya! Rags knows Yuvraj doesn't feel the same way about Soumya - you can tell by watching her expressions. Soumya can't manipulate her, so instead she plays dumb or defers to Dadi knowing she'll side with her. Menka is a bit of a wild card. Soumya thinks Menka is a fool, so treats her like one, rolling her eyes when she talks and telling her to shut up etc etc. She dismisses her as an idiot, another person who is beneath her.
Keep in mind none of the above mentions her disgusting treatment of Suhani, the swamp incident and how much she's manipulated her...
Recently however, we've seen her looking quite downcast, upset, troubled about something. She obviously feels guilty for the predicament she's but Suhani in - but not enough to stop her actions. Soumya merely wants to have her cake and eat it to i.e, "I want Yuvraj but I want Suhani as my best friend too."
It wouldn't surprise me if she asks Suhani for her blessings and invites her to the wedding. She really is that delusional!!
