A very happy Chhoti Holi and Holika Dahan to all of you! 😃 I thought today's episode was a good precursor to Holi because at least they handled multiple arcs and moved the story towards Holi! 😃
Soumya escapes Suhani's trap and Krishna investigates: So, Sharad could not lay a trap with the expertise and finesse the Phateechars have and Somu escapes his net. 😡 She asks Yuvi about the payal and for once, his 😕 expressions were context appropriate. 😆 He tells Somu he hasn't gifted her the payal and Suhani walks in at the last moment. Yuvraj walks out and Somu sees Suhani as he walks past. I feel like Sharad's plans, instead of netting Somu are furthering her 'Yuvraj loves me' delusions because Baby Snake comes to the VERY logical conclusion that Yuvraj lied about the payal because of Suhani's presence. She has an ugly smirk on her face while Suhani tells Sharad that it looked like Somu wanted to return the payal to Yuvi but he wasn't taking it. 😕 Lol, Sharad, please come up with something better, because your Guru- Shri Shri Yuvraj Shankar is getting trapped in this 'scheme' of yours and not Soumya. 😆 Meanwhile, Krishna asks his dad about his mom's big spending and his dad says that he gave Lalita 10,000 and not 20,000. Poor guy! 😕😕 He never knows what's up. Krishna asks LaKhi about this discrepancy and Rakhi bluffs and says that the bill is wrong, that they only shopped for 10,000. His father says that Lalita has been acting like she has won a lottery since the past few days. Krishna's brains are addled and clearly, every rupee is a step forward towards his revelation. 😉
Soumya shows Dadi her payal and Dadi congratulates her on it. She says that she will lay a mega-trap for Suhani and Somu has to help in its execution. 😲😡 She says that this Holi will leave Suhani's life colourless and dull. F you, Dadi! A middle finger salute for you. Rags eagerly asks Dadi how she can help and Dadi tells her there is nothing to do for her. 😆😲 Menka jumps at this opportunity and says, "So, that means Dadi doesn't value us anymore. We are of no use to her, Jiji!". Dadi and Soumya makes constipated faces while Ragini walks out, with Menka tottering along after her. Menka says that she had warned Rags that Soumya will displace her as Dadi's fave and Dadi flicked her away like a fly out of her tea. 😆 Menka, you're the best, really. She is making Ragini aware of the big picture.
Sharad buzzes around Suhani trying to convince her of Somu's guilt: Sharad is desperately trying to convince Suhani of Soumya's guilt (I don't even know why this is needed😳) and Suhani is in a tizzy, unable to believe what he is saying. We all know Suhani has very constructive ways of dealing with her anger and she is on a cleaning spree throughout the house, hoping that all this washing will wash her doubts away. 😲 Sharad tells her that Soumya is not as innocent as Suhani thinks she is, after all she tampered with Suhani's kite on Sankranti and also tried to KILL her. Suhani seems to be back to Dumbelina mode, because really, if someone is trying to kill you, think you can safely assume a motive like 'Trying to steal my husband' for them. 😆 How dumb, Suhani. ShaTima see Suhani worried and Pratima says that this is inevitable. Sharad gets Suhani's favourite- Samosas to cheer her up. 😉 Samosa Warrior, good job. Suhani sees the samosas and it looks like she has seen salvation itself. 😆 Suhani goes to Sharad and says that she wants to eat them but she wants to prove to Yuvraj that she loves him more than samosas. Sharad says that this is also a test of her love. Sharad is trying to convince her to let him conduct another sting operation on Soumya, however, they are interrupted by her parents' arrival. With so many SuRad scenes, I wonder what Yuvraj does throughout the day? 😳 Is he her husband or Sharad?
Well, the answer is that he was on the terrace listening to some music. Our baby snake slithers up with a self-satisfied smirk and makes some roundabout comments about the payal while Yuvraj has the most bored expression on his face. 😆 Is it just his general demeanour? 😆 Why does he always look he like he's being given a physics lecture? Anyway, it really made me laugh at Soumya's pathetic attempts, but she seems unable to take a hint. 🥱 She is trying to pique Yuvi's interest and asks him whether he likes the payal, to which she gets a noncommittal response. Then, she has the gall to ask him to help her wear the payal. 😡 DumbRaj, why are you acting like Dumbelina, man? DumbRaj tells her that he doesn't know how to, as if it is very routine for people to ask others to help them with their payals. She makes up some shit about a backache and asks him to help. Just when he is about to, Menka arrives and tells him that Suhani's parents are here. Thanks for that, Menka! Menka tells Soumya that till Suhani is out of the house, her techniques aren't going to work and she better listen to Dadi. Soumya nods uninterestedly but Menka pats herself on the back for it.
Suhani's parents arrive bringing gifts for Holi and Dadi's drama: Lata, Pankaj and Bhavna are preparing to go to Suhani's house bearing a full load of gifts and take her favourite Holi treat- Gujia along. 😊 Such a happy family they are. Always make me smile. As they arrive, Suhani is filled with happiness and greets them with a smile. RagMen arrive to enjoy their daily dose of drama, while Pratima asks Yuvraj to give some sweets to Pankaj. Yuvraj agrees for his Maa's sake and he ceremonially gifts some sweets to Pankaj. Pankaj says that it wouldn't be proper for him to take gifts from his son-in-law but Pratima says that as their son, Yuvraj has every right to give them gifts. 😃 Of course, who else but Dadi, has to arrive to spoil a sweet moment. 😡😡 She says that Pratima is an 'Anaadi' and tells Pankaj that she can't be expected to know what propriety is. I can't believe she called Pratima useless/amateur in front of everyone. Where is your famous love for your mother, Yuvraj? 😲 Yuvraj says to Dadi that Maa would like it, so let Pankaj have the gifts. Dadi says that anybody would be shocked at seeing the Ganga flowing in the opposite direction. 🥱 No, we're more shocked that you're a warm-blooded mammal whose blood flows in the right direction, Anaconda. 😆
Soumya excitedly mentions the colours Lata and Pankaj have brought, but Dadi reveals her stay order on them by saying that it's a Birla tradition to not have a colour-free Holi. Lol, do you even know what Holi means? 😆😆 Stupid woman. Rags tells Lata to take the colours back because ever since Dadi got a rash from playing with colours, the Birlas do not play with them anymore. 😕 Suhani interjects and says that the colours symbolise the victory of good over evil, so what's the problem? Lata stops her and says that everyone has their own beliefs. Lata, don't let your daughter be swallowed whole by the Birla snakes, please! Help her fight back. Dadi orders Soumya to throw the colours out and everybody is appalled by this new development. Soumya awkwardly gets up to throw them out. CVs, again, you could have ended with the whole sequence. Why drag it?
