I too always felt that it wasn't love but infatuation on the part of Yuvraj. True love isn't forgotten that easily. His attitude towards Soumya after his marriage might give an impression that he loved her so he wanted to make her jealous by showing closeness to Suhani but it was more of the ego thing playing out. I guess the great Yuvraj Birla couldn't handle the rejection so he did what he did. When he came to know that the girl actually refused him for a driver's son, he got something to act on. He just did to satisfy his ego and as you said, to make Soumya realize what she lost to make her feel bad.

Coming to his marriage... he hated being threatened and forced. Suhani was never his problem...but the circumstance was.

With Dadi around...it'll take time for Yuvraj to realize truth.

As you said, Yuvraj never knew Soumya the person. He fell for Soumya the face and attached all these qualities to her which he thought would make her an ideal wife. Soumya's doing the same thing right now, with The Evil Trio's help. She has fallen for the spendthrift Yuvraj Birla, the rich heir to the Birla legacy and not Yuvraj the person. This is disastrous because both of them created this false image in their mind of what that person was like, without actually getting to know them.

This sets people up for disappointment and disillusion because once you get to know the person, this false image of them comes crashing down. Once that happens, no feelings are left because all those previous feelings were based on what you thought they were like and not what they actually are.

Yes, they pretty much are. Look at Yuvi-Somu. I feel that both of them had/have this version of Yuvraj and Soumya in their heads that none of them are actually like. I have seen this a lot of people in real life also build up their crushes to this unrealistic ideal and then end up with no affection for them once they get to know the real person. What do you think?
