I've never seen more of a shit show

This show is the most regressive show I've ever seen in my entire life. How do people in India tolerate shit like this?

Every show has their flaws. I like this show, I wont say this show is the best show on TV but it has its good time. If you dont mind me asking why do you think its the most regressive show?

First of all, all characters are so contrived. The situations in this show are so exaggerated and meaningless, and most of all, there's constant reminder of black v. white. I feel second hand embarrassment watching such colorism and racism on tv.

Thank you! The constant skin color references and innuendos is puke inducing and offensive. How can this shit make it to prime time? The situations are so exaggerated.

I dnt feel this show is anyway near perfect its definitely flawed bt so are most shows bt this 1 even though they haven't dealt with their main issue(the love triangle being revealed) they always bring new angles to the show. Bt coming to what u dnt like about the show I think in india the complexion of a person is still a big and relevant issue. On this very forum we have a member who doesn't like suhani not only coz she doesn't like rajshri's acting bt more so coz she is dark she calls her a blackie, refers to as cow dung simply coz she is a dark skinned lead. If we have a person like this who has obviously been educated(saying she is educated coz she can write and knows hw to use the internet) coming to the forum and saying such things than there are also others who do such things and have such thoughts. And its not only ppl who are illiterate who make an issue of a person skin colour bt also the highly educated who are small minded as well. And even bollywood stars like deepika and bipasha who are stunning girls are said by haters to look like maids just coz they are dusky. But does this show exaggerate with the whole fairness issue for instance making suhani use the fairness cream and her reaction to it than the answer is a definite yes- bt is this an irrelevant issue than hell no. Another thing is the whole religion issue that comes across in certain episodes for instances the ghee lamp vs the oil lamp u praying to god is god really gona turn his back against u coz u didn't use ghee for your lamps. The obvious answer is duh no bt in india where we have religious fanatics this issue can come up. I live in south africa and even my family just recently when we did our prayers my mom ran out of ghee and was like oh god I cnt cook the rest of the food in normal oil and we where worried coz it was getting late bt it shouldn't have been a problem coz if u ran out u ran out. And now the cow incident again what diff does it make if u use a black cow or a white cow for your prayers nothing. Bt there are ppl like dadi in the world who use religion, class and colour against others. This show is all about showing that imperfection is beautiful, that life is imperfect there is nothing in the world that is perfect. Just like there was a mark on the cow that is hw life is we will always have a flaw. Look at souyma she is what the world would call perfect bt is she perfect hell no half the time she is mean and pathetic. And suhani who the world thinks is imperfect she herself thinks she is perfect. Bt more than that this show does try to convey that not even religion is more important than life and being kind to 1 another is above everything. Bt if u talking about the contrived yuvani scenes where suhani is falling every second day this show needs some romance so these scenes are a little typical bt SaRaj really have good chemistry and its coming through in these scenes and we dnt get those sorts of scenes a lot so its harmless and fun to watch. Other shows have just 10 min eyelocks for their couple we lucky if we get to see proper scenes of them coz be4 we should just get to see Mrs Ugly Dadi. And as for the prime time reference this show kind of reminds me of shows like saathiya and sandhana show(police office) where these shows are more inclusive of the whole cast and not just a specific character or couple. And its much better than saathiya I would take botox queen any day over that evil gopi bahu.

By showing the color discrimination, they don't mean that ppl have to be like Dadi; they are giving message to not be like Dadi; through a strong girl with will power like Suhani

Indeed, there are ppl like Dadi still on this planet mainly in India

Suhani is a girl on television who never care about or felt bad about her looks

Her lines show that

''God gave me this color, so y i have to feel bad about it? It isn't my mistake'' (to herself)

''Suppose, if a girl with great color came to this house as bahu, and if she is battameez, would Dadi accept her?'' (to Yuvraj)

I really love the character Suhani and also appreciate Rajashri for potraying it well

Suhani or Rajashri herself never went beyond the limits

She stays calm, unlike other heroines on Telly, never goes dramebaaz

She is reality, very sweet person..both character and actress

She never argues with Dadi for blaming and criticizing her unnecessarily most times, but also doesnt take it to heart

She only feels bad and strongly wishes how to change Dadi's thinking and get a place in her heart

People does have to think like her, positive attitude

Whatever happens, she soon comes to her happy mood easily after a bit feeling bad

She is childish, good heart girl who can make all the people around her love her by this heart

And coming to other characters and plots, they r witty and creative

Dadi, Rags, Menaka and Rishi r meant to hate

Suhani, Bhavana (i strongly feel, one day she opens her mouth and ives right punishment to Rishi) r meant to be the change and inspiration for the society if only they handle it well

Good ppl like Prathima and Sharad show us how to love good ppl like Suhani the way they are

Grey characters like Soumya, Yuvi, Krishna who change with situations r meant to show how to handle our daily situations properly and adjust with what we got

See, how much message is there

U can either take it or just enjoy the show for timepass

It is much better than many other dragging dramas with no stories and no sense on Star Plus

To the TM,see the show is not regressive,Because they r showing u colour discrimination not to hate Suhani but to stand up for Suhani.See get the difference,it is about our perspective,how u deal with it.If u think they r trying to humiliate her,it is wrong,they r again n again showing how Yuvraj is defending her,she herself is strong in her own ways.They r showing that this thought of fair,not exactly fair but whiter persons do have a golden heart is not right at all.Yuvraj is realizing it gradually.They even never showed Soumya as a sensible character who defo is whiter.

I would rather say this show has a good concept. This colour discrimination is world wide.Everyday there are thousands of ad of fair and Lovely and so many face creams and all to make urself whiter,this is what is called regressive,that too on international level. Why anyone need to whiten themselves by using artificial products??

And at least here in the show they r dealing with the issue very maturely..really many many educated ppl r there who search for face value. This is shown so that u can get to see the real situation how ppl with dark complexion are treated in real life,specially when they belong to female folk and learn a take a strong stand for urself.
