I am sure all of these crying abt CA forum here merrily exist on X and engage with differing opinions or ignore them without crying for users to be banned or for x to shut shop!

Also everything for all these years was fine on this site till one side found a voice and now that has become a problem bec ppl here were used to enjoying one way street!

Yes, I am on Twitter and there is far worse discourse than this forum on X.

Firstly, you are comparing a discussion forum vs a microblogging site. A discussion forum is intended for discussion between multiple parties. A microblogging site is for one party to share their thoughts.

But if we have to compare apples to oranges.

Second, because there is absolutely no moderation, there is an implicit neutrality. Elon Musk is not going to pin an incendiary topic on my feed.

Finally, users can block others, mute keywords, bar responses, and make their accounts private.

Supsri goes away, comes back as supari 1, blue ice goes away, comes back as blue ice 1 lol stop saying you wato be deactivated. you don’t have the will to stay away so you want the site admin to fo your bidding for you 😂

You made an mid too just like supari.

Topics that take a one-sided stance should never be pinned as a global topic. The Real Genocides topic should never have been pinned. https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/current-affairs/5355651/the-real-genocide-s

1) The topic contradicts the United Nations and the International Court of Justice in its definition of genocides

2) Is insensitive to innocent civilians who are suffering under a military attack

3) Has a lot of misinformation and a lot of Islamophobic sentiment

While the topic maker and others in support of the have the right to their viewpoint and engage in a COC-compliant discussion of the topic, it is the moderator's duty to remain neutral, apply the COC equitably to both sides and NEVER EVER give precedence to one side of the debate.

So - do you, Vijay, and your entire Dev Team stand behind and endorse the thread "The Real Genocides"

- If yes, then perhaps you can make your stance transparent and visible so that Muslims and Palestinian supporters may choose to deactivate their accounts and stop engaging in this forum that officially is against them

- If not, you need to take strict action against whichever moderator allowed their bias to overcome their neutrality and pinned the topic as a global announcement and make them issue an apology for their biased actions

Hoping to hear about your decision.

I want to see an answer to your post. Judging by the reaction to your post there are 31 members that feel the same way as you do. There is a real problem here and that is the current affairs section.

We all have invested so many years on this platform and if you don’t consider your users problem’s what’s the use of running the forums by the same members whose voice is not being heard.

Yup this is just a forum and when people are unhappy they slowly leave. I brought up my concerns about current affairs at the start of the year and stopped visiting IF for two months after that as I just didn't want to consume hate during my free time.

incorporate a powerful AI tool for moderating this kindergarten forum. let it decide whatever decision it want to take. sabke paap punya ki hisaab rakhna and sahi time pe uss data ko extract karke decision lena bas AI se hi hota hain. smiley36

Na Rahega Baans Na Bajegi Bansuri. Na Rahega Mods, Na Rahegi Bias gana bajana.smiley41

ps: looking at some filthy MIDs roaming freely on BWF, lagta hain some mods have taken voluntary retirement already.

There is a time and place even for humour. Your post is dismissive and unnecessary given the context at hand. You are using a very casual tone to interject into a serious issue, an issue that clearly has offended many India-Forums members going by the responses here.

Moderators, as appointed members of the DT have a duty to treat ALL members equally. As part of the DT, objectivity and fairness are the bare minimum one should expect from a moderator.

Moderators are of course allowed to have their personal opinions on issues but they cannot and should not let that cloud thier judgment when carrying out moderator specific duties.

This is not an impossible ask. Many online forums function seamlessly. For instance, reddit moderators are largely known for being objective and fair. Why can't the same be expected of India-forums moderators? Why do they have to be replaced with AI? Do they not posssess basic humanity and emotional intelligence to intuitively know pinning such a topic would result in chaos?

Members who posted on this thread are not complaining about trivial issues like fan wars and tit for tat celebrity bashing. They are simply demanding that the admin appoint moderators to the team who have the emotional intelligence and self awareness to NOT handle serious issues like genocide so flippantly.
