My time here and Suggestion for DT

Hello Folks,

This is Erum, have been a part of IF since August 2006. I am close to my IF anniversary the 11th one in the upcoming month. I would like to share my experience at IF. I landed on IF through google search as I was in new country and looking for updates on KZK (Kasauti Zindagi ki). I have been through up and downs of IF. There was a point where IF was so busy we cannot imagine, there were video uploads and we could easily download them as well. However things don't remain the same I am aware of it. IF has gone through a lot of changes and recently I have seen Global Moderators have a lot of work load for the active forums without DT. Now they are inactive and forums are requesting MOD as their queries have not been answered and they have to wait for weeks and weeks for replies and half of them go unnoticed. IF has not been at the same pace like it used to years before but there are decent amount of activities on the forums and we cannot ignore those.

I have been a part of DT and hence know the amount of workload that goes into each forum. I am back on IF and want to enjoy the show IPKKND3 but there is a need of MOD and members asking for DT in every active forum has been disturbing and hence writing it here.

I think we should get DT for active forums and have Global Mods deal with important issues only. Forums which have more than 30 members regular should get a DT I believe, so that no one has to wait for replies for days and days. Also having regular members as DT would help the forums only in a better way, giving multiple forums to same members can suffer all those forums if they become inactive for personal reasons.

I remember IF without the new layout and we used to have DT for almost all the forums it was fun loving days, everyone was hyped and people got what they needed in matter of days. So just a thought and suggestion to have active DT members for all the active forums so that Global Mods don't get PM for every little issue of the forums. Rest is upto the admin ofcourse to decide.

Every active forum should have DT's and the point you mentioned about active members bieng promoted is right,because having a same person moderating multiple forums can be difficult but with the limited number of Viewbie's and Moderators I guess we don't have much of a choice here,but yes I agree that many a times requests and queries go unnoticed or takes a long time get a reply!

I agree that the moderaters also have a personal life and these issues can only be overcome by expanding the moderating team!
