Hi :)

From yesterday, I'm facing too many Pop-ups and adverts when I'm browsing India-Forums. Even if I click on 'My Forums' or anywhere else, like on any thread/post link, My posts, Private Messages, it Pops-ups with so many ads and sometimes doesn't let load the matter which I wanted to see. Now, sometimes I have to click on re-load or click the link again to see the matter. It's extremely annoying!!!!!😳

That said, even after changing Chrome's and other browser's setting to disable/block pop-ups and installing ad blockers, the number of pop-ups are Not reducing. Why so? I do know India-forums is a ad dependent website, but know that lots of unnecessary pop-ups will annoy your users. Now the same site is not letting me browse it smoothly for even 5 minutes! I'm not able to view the content nor able to post or like as every time when I click anything, the stupid pop ups comes out! Even in 'New Topic' option, pop-ups are coming!

From yesterday, till now, I have got complete total of over 240 pop-ups! UPDATED: 697 Pop-ups till now!🥱

I have seen other topics and also followed the steps mentioned there, removed adwares which were accidently installed and even ran a scan for same from Google itself, but even after doing so many things, these stupid pop-ups are not going and only I-F is having the problem. All other social networking sites are working fine. This is the first time when I'm facing this pop-up issue.

I saw these topics:

These websites comes out in pop-ups:

ad.adsmatte.com and youradexchange.com

What is the possible solution for this?🤔 Should I block above websites?😕

Vijay bhai, Kindly provide a solution as soon as possible. :)😊
The site was so smoothly running till yesterday morning! It started showing pop-ups from night! It's a part of our life now for discussing shows, making creations etc., , so I don't want it to get annoying!

Thanks.

Hi, I'm glad you mentioned this, b'cos I've been noticing it as well. These pop-ups are completely random and sometimes pop up when you click on any India-Forums link. A second or subsequent click on the same link is normal.

The site *Dev* mentions is one thing, but sometimes, I get a pop-up tab that won't let me leave. It offers me an anti-malware option, and then has 2 options of 'Stay on this page' or 'Leave this page', neither of which lets me leave the page. Only by some luck can I ever leave the page. Also, it doesn't make sense that I should get any software invitations to download: my OS is PC-BSD (a FreeBSD derivative) and the browser that I use is Chromium, which is the closest to Chrome that is available for this platform. Even Linux software wouldn't normally work here except w/ if run within jails, or recompiled for this platform.

This is a something critical - we can't have malicious attacks on our computers courtesy this website. I know how important ads are for you, but if you are unable to do anything about their obtrusiveness, we'll have to bail. A site needing cash to survive is one thing, and a site being an active malware vector is quite something else. If you don't do anything about it, it won't be long before the anti-malware guys - Norton, Kaspersky, ESET, et al will have to add you to the list of blocked sites.

Hi Vrish

In fact, I'm glad that there is someone else who is noticing the same problem. Popups are random and even when I click on any emoticon, they pop up! its getting seriously annoying!

and I also get that above kind of pop-up which do not let me leave the page but I always press Windows button or either start button to get out of that page.

Yes, I totally agree with you. If there will be no solution to this, then our anti-virus which already blocks the viruses will have to add the site's name to blocked ones.

Hope this should be cleared soon. I'm not able to browse properly due to pop-ups.

My browser is set so that all pop-ups open in a new tab. In this case, the site in question opened in a new tab, and then refused to let me leave that tab. I had to do some acrobatics w/ the tab before I could close it. Now, whenever a click on a link shows another tab about to open, I quickly close it before it can, so that it can't take over.

Although yesterday, that page closed when I clicked Leave this Page. Some improvement 🤔

Update: This is one of the offending links.

well, same here. Either I have to try to get out of pop-up always or I press ''Leave this page'' option, it works for me. The browsing speed has become slow due to all this. I have to re-load pages now all the time.
There's no improvement as the option you're talking about is to leave the page and it works for many. You were unable to use it because the pop-up was making your tab slow in work or was hanged. 😕 At least this I have analysed from all these days.
Internet explorer/I-E is having a good pop-up blocking system. I have set its level to high so that no pop-ups comes out. It's working better than Google Chrome in blocking pop-ups now. Even after blocking pop-ups in Chrome, they were coming but in I-E they are mostly gone.⭐️
But problem is, the layout is sometimes problematic as images are also blocked in I-E which have certificate errors and even the pop-up of using emoticions/smileys which is provided by I-F is also blocked!😲 so not able to use all the emoticons now!

I faced the same problem, but then I installed adblockplus and now I don't have trouble with popups or ads.

Just want to confirm that we are serving all ads through Google and we do not serve Pop-Ups / Pop-Unders any longer.
Sometimes there are malicious adwares on visitors PC can cause this. I would recommend doing a full PC scan for malwares/adwares.

Still I would check with Google to understand if there is something that we can do at our end to prevent such incidents.

Hi Vijay bhai :)

Thanks for your reply and providing the information regarding Pop-ups. 😊
When I searched about pop-ups on Google, about ad.adsmatte.com, so the reports told that it's a pop-up which infects browsers, websites & internet connections so these things will have to go through scan which I did. There were many other ways to remove the pop-ups which I'm going to apply as well. It used to happen with India-forums only but recently noticed that it sometimes also happen with other websites now. I even downloaded a scan provided from Google itself, which after scanning said that there are no adwares/malwares in my laptop/PC.

I shall wait for your answer, after you check with Google regarding same.

Internet explorer is working nicely when I turn on built in pop-up blocker & set its level to high. But with Chrome, no improvement. Also, due to this, the layout does not load properly in Internet Explorer so things get messed there.
