I was silent on this issue for long, living by the same logic, that it's virtual world and I need not treat everything being posted here too seriously. Come here, discuss, debate and go back to my real world. But Sir/Ma'am tell me one thing, if we are being preached to use this logic for anti-India posts where Indians and Indian culture is being mocked at and not take the posters too seriously, why doesn't the same logic apply if we do the same?

Ideally, the same logic should be used universally on this forum. If opinions, positive or negative should not be taken in extreme seriousness then why the posts that are made to criticise actors receive so much flak? What's the purpose of moderation then?

I respect you guys, moderation of such a huge forum is not an easy thing and you guys have a life too. But we haven't raised this issue because of random and scattered incidents. India mocking is rampant on Bollywood forum and there comes a point when some of us do take an offense. My only request is that a healthy discussion should continue on this forum.

Question, seek answers but please don't blatantly mock a nation based on assumptions. It hurts.

I agree with the TM. Funnily enough people spend hours on a site called India-Forum, watch Indian movies and shows and then use the same to generalize and bash India. Most of the people doing so are NRIs or non-Indians from Indian sub-continent countries. If their respective countries are so great why dont they stick to forums related to that?

It's hilarious how instead of listening to concerns and coming up with solutions, Mods are getting defensive lol Chor ki daadhi main teenka ? 😆 How about instead of picking up a sword, listen to what members have to say and do a better job so people can breathe.

Given how threads bashing India or Indians do not get closed shows their tolerance. Forget trashing India, what's even more hilarious is when the same people start assuming and calling those defending India as prudes, desh premi, patriots etc etc. Bhai kyu ? Does one have to be a patriot only to express their views. If their views don't match up to yours, they are singing desh bhajans or are inferior/not open minded or living in the Lala land of denial ? For me open mind comes from acknowledging the fact that people, their culture/religion are different and do not necessary have to be seen from the same set of glasses.

And Bwahahhahahaha to the suggestion of not taking shit seriously. In that case if I call all Pakistanis terrorists or US citizens s**ts/wh**es, it's all cool, cuz my generalization is virtual and shouldn't impact anyone. In that case, why do I get slammed with WL after WL for bashing cleavage queen on Bolly forum ? 😒 #UnfairMods #TakingMyWords #Seriously

Check these comments..This member bashes and generalises India over TV shows calling England great and calling India regressive coz this member can't differentiate between reality and fiction.I've WLs coz I bashed an actress on Bolly Forum.Yet I see many bashes (not criticise) India and namecalls Indians and yet no action is taken against them.Infact many India bashing topics don't even get locked

I have now stopped entering few threads. I know from the topic or the OP's name that what is going to be in there. And reporting doesn't help at all.There is No action at all.It hurts to see my country getting bashed and gross generalizations being made. It's really surprising as some celeb bashing threads are locked or censored within few pages like Sonam,SRK ones but India bashing threads go on and on and they are on first page everyday(in BW forum).

I'm not against healthy criticism but what usually happens can only be described as pure hate or ignorance.

I don't have any problem if people want to discuss/criticize India or any other country. But, the thread should be made on appropriate sections.

BW forum doesn't/shouldn't allow threads unrelated to BW. Threads on Frieda, Virat, Pak celebs (not working in BW), Bangladeshi celebs, HW/Timbuktu celebs... threads on racism, terrorist attack, rape, religion, cricket, politics, election, hijack... threads on India/Pak/Canada/Korea... <--- These are the threads where people start showing their true colors.

I believe, there is a racist/hypocrite/hater-of-other-countries-or-religions in everyone. The above mentioned threads just out those sides of a person. It becomes very difficult for me to retain a positive opinion on a member or a friend when I see him/her displaying those hidden sides.

I go to silly BW section only to have fun for a few minutes.. if I wanted to discuss other serious stuff I would have joined other forums. So, my request is.. warn the members who make such threads.. because locking the threads isn't helping.

While I agree with you...now the problem is in BS innocuous topics are being used to bash India. Like today's thread on item numbers in BW has escalated to India bashing already. Now maybe the TM had a genuine question or wanted a genuine discussion on the need for item numbers in BW films. But now Indian men are being called horny etc. We have had similar topics in the past...but havent seen such kind of bashing in those topics. Instead we used to have some fun discussions there.
