Hey dear,

The Dislike button actually promotes bashing. Someone may press the dislike
button for non abusive reasons but the poster could take it out of
context. its only going to create more chaos especially in problematic
sections because members will hit the dislike button without reading the
content or because they dislike the topic maker and it will discourage
the members to post .People will be afraid to come forward to post their opinions and
it will reduce the participation in the forum and will turn out to be
another form for "online bullying".

i am sure everyone have
noticed how the Like button have already created cold vibe. If a post is
made targeting a member (offensive), then its liked by particular
gang/members because they "dislike" that person. And trust me, it hurts
the members sentiments and feelings and creates animosity. Look around
the tellybuzz comments, so much of bashing and negativity already out there .. Dislike button will only make it more worse ..

Gee thats a fine post 👏

@Yarian i agree with you😃...i actually got warnings twice for explaining why i disagree with certain someone. So my point is that i would rather like to have a dislike or disagree button...it is necessary now...on india-forums...😃

For those who are saying that dislike button shouldn't be there...i think then there should not be dislike button for threads like "creations gallery"..."Birthday threads" etc. But dislike button is necessary for normal threads...

Certain posts floating around make me wish for something more extreme (refer: my signature). 😆 However, I'll gladly settle for "dislike".

As for the negative vibe, if someone is willing to put forth their view in a public forum, then they should be prepared for people who agree and people who disagree. There is absolutely no need to act like middle schoolers and throw a hissy fit because someone "disliked" what you had to say. I was under the impression that we were all mature enough to understand that not everyone is going to share the same feelings as yourself. On any given subject for that matter.

Are disagree and dislike the same thing?

If Yari is proposing a disagree button then i support it we should have one as it will reduce bashing it may!

but a dislike button

Why to demotivate people by hitting dislike

and i am sure people will start hitting it for all and sundry posts

Hi jazzy and lavi nice yo see you here😊

'Dislike' can be a way of bashing a member. The person who opened this thread may have thought of it as a way to express disagreement, but it can become a reason for fights.

If someone disagrees, better to put his/her views in words with reasons. There are a lot of people who will misuse the dislike button for fun.
