Why should 'My Posts' be viewable for others in this forum? This whole website has become creepy with stalkers cropping up everyday and one can easily follow the member and bully him/her online by commenting on every topic he/she has posted. Moreover, why should someone else see what I'm posting in other forums? Enabling others to see in your profile, your whereabouts just lets everyone to keep a track of what you are doing, which at the moment is something people might not want others to know, given how members here are concerned about their privacy.
Even in Facebook, we have an option to limit people from seeing what we post, so there should be something similar here in India-Forums as well.

Vijay, can you please disable this feature from India-Forums so that except for me, no one else can view what I am posting through the 'My posts' option. It's bothering me a lot because I am seeing a lot of profile visits lately, from people whom I haven't even interacted with in the forum.

Thanks!

The idea is good. It should be blocked, but at the same time I think it's a good idea to leave it open. It gives people a chance to see whether they know you or not. For example, whenever I get a buddy request from someone I don't know I check their My Posts to see where they may have seen me that they sent me a buddy request. Only then do I make a decision. Or if I'm looking for a thread and I know who posted in it, I'll go and check their My Posts and find that thread from there.

@GodhuliLogon: Actually everyone can see each other's My Posts.

yeah that problem is there as well but there is a simple solution to it too. Whenever we try to change our username, we get a small message beneath saying last username was ••••••. So the admin can make that public so that once you visit a person's profile, you can see what was their previous ID.
Funny how something that should be kept a secret(My posts) is open and something that should be kept open( last username of the person) is kept private.😕

Agree. The My posts option being visible to all annoys me too, I think they should do away with it, only the member herself/himself should have access to it, not every other person out there. Vijay needs to bring in stricter privacy settings to be honest.

The Search button (My post) should be visible to all till the member turns Goldie or Senior.

see as of now we cannot do anything..
changing features in a site takes spp much of time..
and IF is not a small site..
the servers are huge..
for adding or removing one feature it takes a lot of time..
and the speed may also suffer..
only vijay can comment on this..
as far as my posts is concerned it is not a big problem.
