As for using such tags like "attention seekers" or "hate mongers" how about informing fans if they find anything inappropriate, report the thread. Why the need to use such tags. If you use such tags, then don't expect others to believe you. We already are a minority here and most of us have experienced how biased Mods work on IF, thus skepticism still persists. So if you really want to settle things, then try to be unbiased and show that in your action. For now actions didn't complement the words unfortunately and thus the reaction by Omni and others.

Diplomacy will never work when you are dealing with two parties with different perspective. So instead of trying to please both, take a stand for what is right. If you feel we are wrong, say it on our faces and if the same applies to the fans, have the guts to tell them off.

As for the FC that has been created, then I say it's none of anyone's business who aren't interested in the couple. I'm not trying to please the two crowds because honestly speaking, I couldn't care less of what either one of them thinks. I can name people off the top of my head who have been criticized left and right and they don't care. They're still at the DT seats and nothing has been done against them. So, when it comes down to being diplomatic. I'm the last person on the DT that is diplomatic. I'm nice and sweet to everyone because that's just how I am. But when it comes to answering to someone, I can be ruthless too. I'm not the diplomatic person, and if you honestly asking a few friends of mine, who I have worked with in the past in this virtual world will tell you what kind of a "diplomatic person" I can be.

I think that when you try to appease two opposing sides, you venture into dangerous territory because you can't remain neutral for long. It would just be easier to say what you have to say about each sides directly and point out what you think is right and wrong, without being coy about it.

Here's the issue.

As McNinja mentioned, you have all the right to input your opinion on any thread including calling it "attention seeking" tactic. But the problem arises since you are have a Viewbie tag. Your opinions aren't going to be taken as an opinion from a member rather from a Mod. Thus fans or the other party start feeling as if you are siding them while the opposite party feels you are against them.

That is the unfortunate deal of being a Mod. Your opinions can divert a crowd. So as for me, a Mod has be very careful with their words especially when you are dealing a serious issue like this. This is one of the reasons, why fans of IPK think they can attack people and nothing will be done to them. We have so many screenshots on this thread, wonder if anything is even done with those members who got personal cuz I see the same members still going on and on attacking others.

From what I know of Omni, he is very loyal and stands up for his friends. I remember he himself PMed everyone not to pounce on you and give you the slack since you are trying to amend things. So imagine someone trusting to that extend and then having to read an opinion of yours against him and others. Anyone is bound to react.

I mean we all have come this far. So let's try to work with each other and not ruin what we have accomplished so far.

If there is a misunderstanding, please clear it. If you can't then, let's talk business only.
