Kudos Omni👏 for this much needed frank and direct Town Hall sort of thread where everyone can share their own experiences and thoughts and ask for redress

Many have already shared what was resonating with me also and will therefore just add my 2 bits without elaborating as it has already been stated by various other members

I joined IF at the fag end of November 2011 against the sage advice of a virtual friend who warned me that I would be descending into a hell hole of a cesspit I did not believe her and became a member

I prided myself as being a levelheaded sensible and sane TV viewer and for whom Khushi and Arnav were just mere fictitious soap characters conjured up by some hyper imaginative CV for a PH for a television channel in the battle for network ratings supremacy and advertisement revenues

I assumed I could have a decent fair-minded discussion and debate on the day's episode and probably get a spoiler or 2. I had no inkling just who Sanaya Irani or Barun Sobti was and watched it for the story and the characters. For me the plot was paramount and that the chemistry was brilliant was the added bonus

Much to my sorrow and despair I found her words to be coming out true I discovered the IPKKND forum to be nothing more that a shrine to the Male Actor and the members of the BS AT were the one's dominating the thoughts and opinions of literally the entire forum which invariably translated to denigrate and punch anyone showing the slightest difference of view that did not tally with theirs in other words did not worship drool or be dazed by the magnificence of the male leads looks acting and role Inversely the female lead was demeaned and debased viciously to such an extent it made me feel quite ashamed that I belonged to the same gender as those that could not look beside and beyond the male character and actor with lines often being blurred between the 2

I am no feminist or chauvinist but an equal opportunist and believe in life liberty and happiness for all irrespective of gender but soon found myself out of sheer cussedness taking up cudgels on behalf of the female actor and character for my conscience would not rest at the humiliating treatment being meted out to a fellow sistah all because a majority of them were obsessive to the point of complete lunacy over some male actor.

It is quite one thing to say we are women so naturally we like the male and another to lose oneself in such terrible worshipping and brownnosing over some remote actor who has no idea of the existence of them and probably would not give a diddly squat even if they came in front of them and exhibiting such jealousy hostility and anger at his costar all because she was in close proximity to him and got to touch him which they could not They questioned her character her morals ethics her SBS segments with her other male actors were sneered she was called cheap but that was alright for the Mods I guess

Anyone who made posts supporting the female lead or actor were immediately targeted and bullied by the fan girls or sneeringly dismissed. One member who had written a post crying in pain over the physical abuse of KKG was heckled and had so many hate PM's sent that it left her feeling very scared and pretty soon she left the forum never to return

Within months another set of vicious mean young girls slowly descended with their own brand of mentality so you soon had folks that supported appreciated or spoke in favor of the female actor (for now the lines were truly and openly established that it was all about the actors and the characters were just a foot note) were branded as being gay lesbians or confused about their sexuality

SI was parodied criticized and degraded in what was dubbed the So called Oracle thread by its members the Reduxians who took great pride in their besmirching of SI physical assets and figure talent dress sense make up and often used to have a merry time humiliating her and all this with the indirect support and blessing of the Forums Mod who also happened to participate in this thread along with a another sugary sweet n spicy thread

There was a nauseating attempt to lock SI birthday thread because the fan girls did not want hers to supersede Barun's thread

MID's are made to make sure SI would never ever reach the 1^st spot on the rankings Many would purposely pass dislike comments on her profile and used to boost Dhrishti to make sure SI ranking dropped and never stayed on top too long and nasty comments would be made how she was fit only to be under the dust of Barun who should remain Number one all the time All of this was discussed in various Chat threads the methodology the strategy and the plans and in spite of knowing the ranking system has been systematically fixed by a bogus bunch of members IF has allowed it to thrive which means there is a financial gain behind it

All this extreme worshipping and arse licking of the male lead character set the tone for the genesis of anger and disgust that is currently being labeled as hate mongering Reality is it started with the fan girls / aunties and mommies.

I can understand young teenage girls losing perspective as they probably would not have experienced love and probably ASR or whoever is the current flavor would have been their first infatuation and as they grow up and meet real boys they will learn to understand the difference. As for the married aunties and grannies I guess these women must be tired and jaded of their real life partners and probably looking to have some excitement and fun but what I cannot digest is married women openly encouraging these young minds with their own sick fantasies and mentoring them in their sick way of thinking and middle aged women calling the actor son and then admitting openly in many a post on the open Forum how moist he makes them feel which automatically set the tone for the thinking and behavior of the forum I will not elaborate on this as many of us know the kind of filth that was being purveyed as discussion and of course that would never come under the scanner as it was done with the approvals of the Powers to be

I have been the recipient of PM's wishing all sorts of things to happen to my semi invalid mother and received sexually explicit messages that seemed to think I am lesbian🤣 as I support women read SI and how she could make me happy and by the way not just me but a bunch of us received the same PM We found it damn hilarious over the skewered cheap thinking of these fangirls- go figure🤢

All my friends here have received threats of various natures targeting our family spouse children One lady was so shaken when Repulsive Fangirls targeted her FB account and wished a horrible thing to happen to her young child and she later suffered a miscarriage as well due to the stress

We have had death threats issued outside of this forum and while we all may bash here we and I will go on record I have never sent any one a hateful PM nor have I wished death for their family members nor wish something awful happen to their marriage Yes I have been guilty of calling them nasty names but only as a result of their own standard of behavior towards other members They cast the first stone and now are pretending innocence but then hypocrisy and moral policing is what they are good at

I just want to ask something If Soap tea is deemed offensive then what about member user names like lusting4barun or Mrs Sobti or their name with his surname etc He already has a wife for crying out loud so this should be far more repellent some even have Sanaya with his surname That I think should be termed far more odious

On a personal note I don't understand this extreme veneration of some actor for I don't care much for celebs and would only bother over them only

if I was married engaged or in a personal relationship with them and when I mean personal I don't mean a fantasy in my head but tangible or

I was very closely related to them through filial familial ties and first cousins don't count

or Walked the red carpet as part of their inner circle or

I had a financial stake in their career

Anything else is a waste of time and far better to spend it on someone or something that is far more relevant to our lives and life

Please shut down the ranking and chaska meter for the sake of humanity We don't want a generation of dumb women whose literacy skills are highly dubious as they would have spent their formative years making MIDs and spending hours on end to make sure he remains No1 and commenting and tagging articles of actors instead of studying and making a life of their own and living their own dream Not sure if recessionary economies can take on the added pressure of having to support such folks who cannot get a job because they are not remotely qualified in any way and have to live off the dole or sponge off their parents/ unsuspecting spouse to be
