Idk if this has been posted or inquired about..but

Is there any way of giving members an option to trash their own posts? I mean I always post something that I may not have wanted to post afterwards😆 and I want to trash sometimes but always have to contact a DT of the forum..and obv..no probs witht hat but its a silly thing to contact for and takes unnecessary time as well.. plus sometimes by the time ive posted it.. i get comments and it turns into a thread..which it never needed to be.. so its hell for the DT of the forum to go through and trash the posts..

makes life a little easier for DT and for members if we are given the option to trash our own posts.. makes sense in accidental spamming cases as well..

Any thoughts?

It would be nice.. I myself end up making something which I might have not wanted to later on.

But there's another side to this suggestion. What if a member makes an instigation post (on purpose) and they trash it before DT get to it? Members with just get away with breaking rules then...

ok i really like this idea, in fact sumtimes after posting v feels like it was not needed...& i hav seen many people who hav changed their post's title 2 'mod pls close the topic' just 2 close it asap. so its really a good thing...

& wat negative side khushi has said is also true. members can do watever they want & delete it b4 DT notices it. i hav a solution 4 tat also.

4 eg. if wanna delete a topic, let me delete it . ok..so temporarily the post will disappear from the forum. ok. & all these posts'll b waiting 4 DT's or concerned mods approval. after their approval it'll trashed permanently . so tat if i did a negative thing or broke IF rules DT team can check it & warn me & take corrective actions needed...this'll avoid its negative side i guess😳😳 ...

Khushii yh i know thats what was bugging me about creating this suggestion cause thats also true... But i think trased posts are still stored if u look at main page theres an option called trash bin.. So i think itll remian there for DTs to have acces maybe if they needed to.. But i agree the initial problem theeads would all be distorted which make also wonder if vijay and them can create some sort of method to work around this.. Otherwise maybe only allow trash option for a certain ladder group forward and also only people who have a clean slate? No warning level? Maybe that can filter it a little bit...?

Maybe each forum can have a trash bin or something that DT's can access where all members deleted posts can go? This way the mods for that forum can fee through it for proof ..? And if a member did it but regrets it and hadnt caused a derious disruption.. The post will be trashed by themselves so its sort of sayin i made a mistake im sorry?
