I agree with this Vibz. When mods befriend members (on IF or outside IF)that have a well known reputation of making MIDs to create fights and misunderstandings, attacking people, stealing pictures and harassing, the said mod's reputation too takes a hit. Then numerous conspiracy theories arise, people will say what they see. You can't blame people for speaking out against what seems to be obvious. Sure, in an ideal world, a moderator would also be treated as a member after all they do a thankless job of moderating a forum for free and by that token, should be allowed to befriend who ever they please. However, this is not the ideal world so they can't have their cake and eat it too. As a moderator, you either treat everyone fairly whether they are your friends or foes or you just remain a moderator and never mingle with members. You can't treat people differently based on your equations with them and then not expect to come under fire for doing so.

Having a thread reported and closed by the mods is the equivalent of having fussy neighbours complain to the police about a party going on.

You know you rock when (a) you have members who don't particularly like you or your opinions stalk your thread religiously and (b) when mods themselves sometimes lack having a proper explanation as to why the thread was closed.

The amount of bitching and spamming in popular threads is actually hilarious. This may be just a forum, and I pray to God that people do have lives beyond sitting behind their computer screens and reporting members, but is it too much to ask for a little fairness?

You have my support.

I am astounded your second post was closed without even a reason being provided for it. I thought it was a rule that the Mods would at least state why the thread was closed? That smacks of unfairness and a guilty conscience.

I haven't even addressed the apparent discord between the treatment being meted out to members - one gets a heads up and the other a slap. That is blatant nepotism.

This should be rectified asap. One rule for everyone please!

I totally agree with this issue and this is why I don't visit any daily soap forums. All these forums have Biased moderators. C'mon, you are promoted to the DT to make the forum a better place and not to piss whoever doesn't like your favorite. I hope all these DT members are atleast 18+ because the majority of them takes immature actions.

I can totally understand that finding moderators and trusting them must not be easy but still , a better job can be done! These moderators only read what they want to read AND only see what they want to see. The rest can bark, bark, bark but no response. Pretty annoying ain't it?

IPK forum is like a ...la lala... . . . la la la.. and the moderators, instead of stopping these members, they favor them. There. It's just like when a parent doesn't discipline his child, the child becomes extremely ill-mannered and thinks he can do whatever he wants. In this scenario > Parent =MOD . CHILD=MEMBERS.

Oh..and Lastly, Moderators+Members friendship... I wouldn't say Mods shouldn't befriend with members but these moderators should certainly NOT favor those "friends". I know many members who are roaming around with S E V E R A L MIDS and the Moderators are aware of those MIDS yet, no action. Why? Because they are friends and DT thinks us members are stupid. Just because we don't have access can't see IP adresses, we don't know anything. 😆 . How unfair is that? Anyways whatever pleases them.

Anyways, all in all, I hope the WHOLE IF DT gets swaped. If we members are troublemakers then neither is the DT any good. Basically no one is Saint.

Hope to see some New Dt Members and Ofcourse, those who don't belong to any daily soap forum.

In the short period of time I've been around, I've noticed this fact too, which is so prominent and a utterly ignominious one too.
I've seen extremely good and debate-worthy topics being closed down, when there are highly stupid ones flanking all over this forum- which serve no purpose other than spamming.

Most of the topics i see, i filled with extolments of Sobti, wherein Sanaya remains as the unsung heroine. Which is such a pity considering how good an actress she really is.

I may be judgemental out here, but whenever i see people preaching around, when anybody dares to criticise the main lead, it makes me think them as pious.

Sometimes i do feel like my post-limit restrictions are actually a blessing in disguise. This seems like such a hypocritical forum.

*long sigh*

P.S:Isn't there a concept of warning before closing down a thread?
