I have noticed for a while that on I-F a sticky thread becomes unstickied the moment the OP or title is edited. This is very peculiar and serves no purposes other than to annoy people. Let's say someone creates a thread which is stickied but then they have to edit it for some reason. Maybe they made a mistake or forgot something. Maybe it's a game thread and they decided to change a rule or they have to update the thread to reflect some development on the show (if this thread was made in a tv show forum), etc. There could be many reasons to edit the thread but it's very annoying if one must run to the mods every time to re-sticky the thread. It also becomes a headache for the mods. Ultimately it's a total waste of time and energy.
So I suggest to make the thread sticky function independent of thread edits. If a thread is stickied it should remain so no matter how many times it is edited. If a moderator wants to unsticky it (or if a time-limit was placed at the time of stickying the thread and that time is up - though I don't think this option is available on I-F which would be another great idea for threads that are stickied for predetermined time periods) then only should the thread lose its status as a sticky.
