how to post a pic, wallpapers, photos in a post?

i copy the the URL paste it there. then i click on preview. it automatically gets its height and breadth.then i click on ok. the pic appears on the post before posting it but when i post it the pic is not present. there is a blank space left behind. wat to do????????????????????/
