Oh joy!! Another 'Global Moderator'!!! And oh-so in the nick of time!! Very punctual .. our Global Moderators .. wait till I tell you MY story (a certain kitten must have her ears perked up now .. sitting on her behind)
Several issues are raised here. First, it's about IP address showing to all DT member. Let me clear that even if everyone has the right to see the IPs but they can't ban the members. Noone is banned without a reason as GM and admin look into the matter in details..noone is banned with out warning or any sharp reason.
Really??!! 'Sharp Reason'!! I would LOVE to hear your criteria for said 'Sharp Reason'!! I have posited that your kind lack the ability for even plain-vanilla reason and you speak of 'Sharp Reasoning'??!! Tell me more!! I wait with BATED breath!!!
We chose to close the topic when language is not appropriate, or discussion is not appropriate. We are an online community where we want to assure that it's suitable environment for all the visitors. We have really young visitors to this forum. Having a healthy and sensible conversation that's what we expect from the members. We are expending IF big time and we are success because we have clean, suitable place to discuss your favorite topics. Our goal is to keep it same way.
I dunno about anything else, but Ms. Hetal, YOU sure have a sense of humor!! I have never laughed so hard in all my life - I just cracked my skull from falling off my chair!!!
One incident where Mod. has closed the topic doesn't make every DT wrong. One can complain to higher Mods always. We don't promote anyone without a discussion with other members. Just being recommendation from a mod. doesn't work. We look into the person's history such as maturity, behavior, activeness, decision making process of that individual.

We have posted the FAQ for the IF..if there are any questions, one should refer to it. We are a friendly community, but we have to make sure that rules are being followed. Mods are doing their job as per they are supposed to do it! One case of Mod. doing something wrong, doesn't mean that all Mods. are wrong.
I'm making request that look at the both sides of the matter. We even want from member to act responsibly. In many cases, one such reason, where Mods. have to act and make hard decisions. One has to be punished in some cases. There are many silent members who are regular visitors, do report the posts which are going in wrong directions. We as Mods, have to make sure that IF is running smooth and have clean, decent environment.
So .. let me tell you about Global Moderators Folks!! Yup!! Lemme tell you!!! They're in cahoots with their platoon of moderators in the trenches .. those who shoot from the hip at the drop of a hat ..
Once upon a time .. not so long ago .. in the clean, pristine land of India Forums .. where the waters run clear .. and the skies are blue .. and the sun does shine .. and a gentle breeze blows .. the birds chirp and sing .. a certain 'Channel Moderator' (are y'all getting a feel for the 'hierarchy'??!! 😉) called 'Ramas' began writing a 'Fan Fiction' .. well .. it was unclean only in the sense that the woman has no imagination, no writing ability, an abysmal command of the English language, a ton of hubris at her own infallibility, etc, etc, etc .. one fine day .. when the sun was shining .. the sky was blue .. the birds were singing their lustful songs .. the breeze was gentle .. she veered off into the land of the unknown and began describing how the male protagonist, unable to contain his sexual desires (no yogi he .. y'see 😉), in a state of drunken stupor (well .. to be fair, the female protagonist was in a similar stupor for they had both been imbibing from the same bottle of alcohol to keep the cold winter night at bay 😆), 'forces' himself upon a woman with oh-such-soft-curves (my words 😆) .. then, when she awakens .. oh sometime at the crack of noon the following day, like a latter day Isolde, finds herself to have fallen in love with her Tristan and is all set to run off with him (or summin') .. so .. one 'concerned' member asked the author (our Ramas) if this was not rape and how could she be glorifying the incident .. the author admitted that it was rape and that the member was simply being impertinent in questioning her!!! Imagine that!!!
To make a long story short, we raised a furor over this (you see, our grand pooh-bah Mod. would take it all upon her pea-brained, obese-corp self to wield a cudgel if one so much as said 'Boo' out of turn) .. we protested .. here .. there .. and everywhere!!! THEN (hah! the plot thickens)!! In the nick of time .. galloping on a white steed .. with rings on her fingers .. and bells on her toes .. fully clothed (no Lady Godiva she) .. came a Channel Moderator .. and rubbed salve on injured feelings .. the admin. team would get down to the bottom of things .. and all manner of arse would be hauled and whipped (punishment!!) .. and justice would prevail .. oh such words of wisdom .. such correct behavior .. such clean thoughts .. oh .. oh .. oh 👏
'Cept .. for one SMALL detail ..
The Global Moderator (with the Administrator Ms. Priya Nair's concurrence) asked Ramas (via that back street labyrinth of PMs) to 'DELETE' (yes, folks, erase, obliterate, vaporize) her offensive post!!! AND to keep marching on - with COMPLETE IMPUNITY!!! All this time, she (the Global Mod) continued assuring us that EVERYTHING was being done to resolve the matter .. almost simultaneously, they (including Ms. Nair), turned into one of those monks who have taken on a life-long vow of silence!!! Our post was 'locked' (for safe-keeping y'see) ..
and the sun shone .. and the birds sang .. and the sky was blue .. and the breeze was gentle .. and the lambs frolicked on the bucolic green .. and the lions snored contentedly .. and the waters ran clear .. and the fairies flitted overhead ..
Be on the lookout for Ramas to be promoted .. for, you see her 'history such as maturity, behavior, activeness, decision making process', have already been delved into .. and she's coming up smelling of roses!! Aww shucks!! To be fair, I guess she's stuck being Channel Mod. .. it's been some time since this incident .. so our Admin. team isn't all that unfair after all (and I'm Cleopatra - of course 😕)!!
