Simi i think your right to a certain extent !!
But the TB article was 'bitch" was probably being unpleasant about people !!!

Now it depends on how another 8 year old takes it as? 😕

Firstly, even if the rule says they need to be over 16.. if a 10 year old gets on IF, and on the registration form pretends to be a 30 yea old, how is anyone ever going to know? I dont understand why that rule is implemented since you dont need any proof of your age while joining. Its completely fool proof!

Plus, mods all over IF give out notices/verbal warnings to make sure members arent saying anything wrong... I have seen several mods actually say, "IF is a website of people aged 8 to 60"... so, i assumed that was the case, which is why i brought up this topic!
Now it seems that since foul language is used in Tellybuzz.. all of the sudden there are older people on IF? 😆
Anyways, thanks everyone for taking the time out for replying 😳

Bold Part, I've seen some Mods saying that too!

Thanks steffy and imran..
Steff, i do understand completely what the word implied in the article. My problem is that rules are brought up over and over that profanity isnt allowed since we have people of all ages. And since mods claim that there are 8 years old here, my question was that.. no matter what the word implies, wouldnt the '8 year old member' start to speak this kind of language around in his life? Since thats what dt members seem to be concerned about all the time 😕

I agree with the topic starter! please do not use double standards over here people!!

Someone had asked

"don't be a biyotch" and "I've learnt how to bitch"

and which was the negative of the two?

I would say BOTH are negative. If to bitch is to "gossip" then it is the profane type of gossiping.

PLUS, I would say, context does matter and what Kambli said in the tellybuzz interview WAS profane too, context-wise.

I don't want to see all the double standards around here. Atleast the "wtf" and the "bi***" type of posts have covered up some of the letters.

While the tellybuzz article s not only global on the IF site, there was no masking of the word too.

I don't care if it was actually said by Kambli the tellybuzz team should have considered editing it out (afetr all editing is part of reporting is it not?) or else all the warnings to other people would be so hypocritical!

I hope the tellybuzz people and vijay look into this!

thanks Eloquent 😊 i doubt vijay or any of the admin team has the time to look into a matter this 'small'. they're too busy upgrading the look of the website 😆
caro, tell me about it 🤣 like i said, that rule is completely fool proof! what were the people thinking when they made these rules? i myself have lived on IF for 3 years now and not once have i actually read the IF COC.... how do u expect a newcomer to read it BEFORE they join? 🤣

i knoww!
the higher mods always preach about how the mods are carefully selected and are the best of the best.... how can u then justify the fact that the biggest age rule on IF is broken??
according to the IF COC, every GM needs to be banned 😕
im quite disgusted at the repeated double standards!! 😕
