This has been bugging me ever since I have seen this article. IF code of conduct restricts the use of profanity.. Infact, a friend of mine even got a PM warning asking her to explain the usage of words/phrases like 'biyotch' and 'stfu'... Also, i have seen in another forum where a member (who i dont know) got a verbal warning for saying 'wtf'...

Now lets look at this Tellybuzz article! Just the headline will do...
Im not trying to be sarcastic or snide at all.. but merely just wondering... If the rest of the IF is so strict on profanity because of the fact that we have members starting from age 8, how is the word used in the headline of this Buzz article appropriate for the 8 year old??

Yeah i agree. Words like that are not allowed to be used on IF !!! Then they should even have this rule for the TB articles too !!👍🏼

This bitch is not a not calling someone a bad word. It simply meant he learned to talk about people in the show.

Not to mention it's a direct quote by the guy. 😊

The Word Bitch does not neccessary fall in the Category of Swearing, Bitching could also be classfied as Gossiping,I think 😃

Yep. But i always heard it used for "complaining"

for example: "stop bitching about it"

A word is a word.. Bitch IS considered profanity no matter what it implies and where its coming from!

Then someone please explain why the member was in trouble for saying 'biyotch' Hard to wrap my head around these rules 😕 😆 Im pretty sure if i was to use this word, someone would report me and i'd end up with a WL increase! The 8 year old on this forum is going to say 'oh he just means gossiping.. so im going to use that word in school and at home, too!' would that be right? But again.. why am i even trying to raise my voice in IF when 100s of others are beaten down? 😆 I've learned not to expect a good sensible response though.. 😆

Uffo! Stop using that word everyone! It may not have been used in a bad way, but it still is an un-pleasant word.

The word wasn't used at someone, but was a quote. I think we can all agree that the title could have been a little - er - more child-friendly...

Love,
Nikasha
