SS2 FF Full Update (Parts I - IV) - Page 15

After the dance was over everyone were still enjoying the spirit of the party…..

Mr.Iqbal took the center of the hall and announced……

Mr.Iqbal: Ladies and gentlemen…. Thank you everyone for gracing this wonderful occasion and blessing my daughter and son-in-law. Aap se se darquast hai ki khaanaa khaakar hi jayein…. Please bahar lawn me buffet ready hai, we can leave for dinner…..

As Mr.Iqbal finished three was a murmur of approval and the guests filed out for the lavish feast…… 😊


The guests were all having dinner…. Everyone were talking about how enjoyable a evening it was!

Dipika was just filling her plate when….

Vishal: Hai…

Dipika turned around to see Vishal behind her in the queue….

Dipika: Vishal! Bahut samay ho gaya tumse baat tak kiye! Aaj to mouka hi nahi mila! 😛

She started to move down the line serving for herself and Vishal….

Vishal: Haan, mujhse baat karne ka mouka nahi mila… Lekin suna hai kisi aur ne aake baat ki! 😉

Dipika looked at him surprised with widened eyes…. Grinning Vishal said… 😃

Vishal: Dipika… I think we are blocking the line… Chalein! 😊

Startled Dipika looked behind and saw that people were waiting behind them… Nodding she and Vishal went off to an empty space…. Even before starting the dinner Dipika asked him sternly…. 😳

Dipika: Tumhe kaise pata? Ki Aryan ne mujhse aake baat ki!

Vishal had put a spoon of biriyani in his mouth, looking up he tried not to smile….

He thought back at the day, two weeks ago when he had called Neha and Ajay and spoken to them about Mission Realization….. Neha and Ajay were astound that Vishal was asking them to do this, but they were happy as it was for Aryan and Dipika and had agreed….

So from then according to the plan Neha would talk to Dipika and Ajay to Aryan…. Not obviously, but in a sort of hinted way to develop the feelings more strongly in them…. 😳

And so from then any reaction Aryan or Dipika would show Neha and Ajay would report back to him immediately.… Today afternoon too he had got a call from Neha…. 😉

Dipika stood glaring at Vishal not starting at her dinner…. Sternly…… 😳

Dipika: Maine tumse kuch poocha tha!

Swallowing the remaining rice Vishal said…..

Vishal: Are muh busy tha to kaise batata? ❓

Dipika: Theek hai ab batao….

Vishal: Well… Samajh lena ki koi pari ne aake bata di… Jitna main Aru aur tumko jaanta hoon, ye sab kuch naya nahi hai… Uska kuch galat karna, tumhara rootna, phir uska aakar manana…. Miwaa biwi bhi itna nahi roote aur manate… 😃

Just as Dipika was about to ask him again something Vishal interrupted and said…..

Vishal: Dipika… Khaana bahut achcha hai… Pehle use khatam to karo… Phir baat karenge! 😊

Dipika shook her head and started again when Vishal picked the spoon off her tray and scooping some rice put it in her mouth…. 😆 He then retrieved his hand laughing as the spoon was still in Dipika's mouth…. Stunned Dipika took out the spoon and started on her dinner…. 😲

Having her dinner Dipika thought….. She knew who would have said him…. Either Haseena or Neha…. Because only they knew Aryan was with her upstairs…. But then Haseena can be ruled out because she herself was busy the whole day… So it had got to be Neha… She wondered what Neha was up to telling everything to Vishal… What surprised her more was Neha was talking to Vishal other than official…. 🤔

At another place…..

Neha was filling a plate when Zubin came up to her…. Looking up Neha asked….

Neha: Are Zubin… Tumhara plate kahan hai? Khaana nahi khaa rahe? ❓

Zubin: Nai… Vo khaana hai… Lekin usse pehle mujhe tumse kuch poochna tha…..

Moving ahead in the line Neha said…

Neha: Haan bolo…. Kya baat hai? 😔

Zubin: Vo…

Just as Zubin started someone called "Neha"……

Excusing herself Neha said…..

Neha: Zubin ek minute haan… Main ye plate mummy ji ke liye le jaa rahi hoon… Unhe dekar aati hoon… 😊

Saying Neha went off and Zubin stood there frustrated…. He waited there for a while, but Neha didn't come back there…. 😕

Shotgun came there to re-fill his plate… Seeing Zubin Shotgun asked….

Shotgun: Zubin… Khaa liya? ❓

Zubin: Nai vo main Neha ke liye wait kar raha tha!

Shotgun: (Thinking) Neha…. Vo to Ajay, Aryan aur Ajay ki mummy ke saath dinner kar rahi hai… Use khatam karke aane de… Tu khaa….

Zubin: Nai vo mujhe bhook nahi….

Saying he went off leaving a shocked Shotgun behind…. Shotgun wondered "Zindagi me pehli baar Zubin ne khaane ke liye naa kar di!?!??!?!!??" 😲

Surprised shrugging his shoulder he went off to finish his dinner….



At the same time in a table Mrs.Chatterjee was having a filled plate in her hand looking at Shotgun talking to Boxer and Aamir…. She seemed very upset about something….

Aryan who was returning back from the wash area saw her and went up to her….

Aryan: Aunty!

Mrs.Chatterjee looked around and seeing Aryan smiled a little….

Aryan: (Looking at her plate) Aunty lagta hai aapne kuch bhi nahi khaya? Kyun aapko achcha nahi laga? Kuch aur laaon? 😒

Shaking her head….

Mrs.Chatterjee: Nahi Aryan… Aisa kuch nahi hai.. Khaana to bahut badiya hai… Bas Subroto ke baare me soch rahi thi!

Looking back at Shotgun and back at her Aryan asked….

Aryan: Kyun aunty kya baat hai? Sab theek to hai naa? ❓

Mrs.Chatterjee: Aisa vo dikha raha hai aur main manane ka naatak kar rahi hoon… Aryan… Tum to use jaante ho naa… Tumko to pata hoga….

Smiling faintly……

Aryan: Aunty kya baat hai? Agar aap ko kuch poochna hai to poochiye naa? 😊

Aryan sat beside her in an empty chair and held her hand assuringly…..

Mrs.Chatterjee: Subroto ko London se jo offer aaya tha, usne use mana kar diya…. Uske baad me se vo bahut gumsum rehta hai… Mere saamne lekin natak karta hai ki jaise sab kuch theek ho…. Lekin mujhe pata hai mere bte ke baare me…. Vo kisi vishay ko lekar dukhi hai…. Tum jaante ho ki kya baat hai? Kya use yahan rehenaa such me pasand nahi? 😕

Aryan looked at Mrs.Chatterjee not knowing how to respond…. Aryan was the one who had talked to Shotgun to stay back… And he too had obliged for his mother's sake…. But later that evening Aryan had noticed Shotgun talk to a girl for the first time since Aryan knew him…. The way they talked Aryan knew it was more than acquaintance….. 🤔

Mrs.Chatterjee: Aryan… Main uski shaadi karana chahati hoon… Lekin vo mana hi kar raha hai…. Pata nahi kyun, vo mujhse us baare me baat bhi nahi karna chahata… Tum to uske saath din bhar ho… Tumne to kuch dekha hoga… Kya Shotgun kisi ko pasand karta hai? Maine ye bhi usse poocha lekin usne mana kar diya…

Aryan wondered whether he should tell Mrs.Chatterjee about that girl who came for the first and last time to meet Shotgun…. Anyways that was more than a year ago….. Aryan decided to talk to Shotgun first……

Aryan: Aunty aise koi baat nahi hai… Agar hai bhi to… Mujhe ab kuch nahi pata…. Lekin main Shotgun se baat karoonga…. Kuch bhi ho Shotgun shaadi ke liye raazi hoga… Ab aap befikar ke khaana khayiye…. 😊

Mrs.Chatterjee nodded thankfully and started on her dinner…. Aryan sat beside her thinking of the girl Shotgun had met that day! 🤔

Neha was returning back from the wash area when she Zubin standing alone near a clump of bushes with a sullen face… Thinking why he was standing there alone, she went up to him and asked…… 🤔

Neha: Zubin kya baat hai tum yahan akele khade kya kar rahe ho? Khaana khaya? Khaya hoga zaroor… 😃

Zubin: Kisi ko bhi mere liye waqt hi nahi hai?

Neha frowned thinking what he was saying……. Then she remembered that he had wanted to talk to her…. But because of all the other talks she had forgotten it… Chiding herself she said….

Neha: Zubin sorry yaar… Kuch kaam aa gaya to tumse baat karna bhool gayi…. Ab bolo kya baat hai?

Smiling enthusiastically Zubin turned towards her and asked….

Zubin: Vo vo ladki jo tumse baat kar rahi thi… Koun thi vo? ❓

Confused…..

Neha: Ladki!?!?!?! Zubin… Aaj to maine kai ladkiyon se baat ki hai… Yahan tak kit um ladkon ki shararaton ke karan ladkiyon se hi baat ki hai, tum kiske baare me pooch rahe ho?

Zubin: (Frustrated) Are wahi Neha… Vo jo pehle dance ke baad tum baat kar rahi thi… Usne bhi ek grey silver ghagara pehenaa tha….

Thinking back Neha nodded and said…..

Neha: Oh… Vo… Haan.. Baat kar rahe the!

Zubin: Haan… Wahi koun thi vo?

Neha: Koun thi matlab? Mujhe kya pata… Koun thi vo!

Zubin: Hunh… Lekin tum dono achchi tarah baatein kar rahe the….

Neha: Zubin… Function ke liye aayi thi… Aur hum yoheen baat kar rahe the! Bas! 😊

Zubin: Matlab tum use jaante nahi?

Neha: Nahi… Main use jaanti nahi… Haan lekin baaton baaton me usne kaha ki uska naam Purvi hai… Bas!

Zubin: (Whispering) Purvi?!?!??

Neha: Waiseeee…… Tum uske baare me kyun pooch rahe ho? (Grinning) Kyun kya baat hai?

Zubin: Neha…. Aisa kuch nahi hai… Bas ki ye teesri baar yahan use dekh raha hoon….

Neha: (Surprised) Kya?!!?!? Teesri baar??? Isse pehle kahan dekha tha tumne? Zubinnnnnnnnn……….. 😉

Zubin: Aisa kuch nahi hai Neha…. Dipika ke Dandiya function me aur Vishal ke Diwali function me….

Saying Zubin said all that had happened at the Dandiya night and Diwali night…..

Surprised…..

Neha: Kya?? (Giggling) Zubin… Kaheen vo tumhe follow to nahi kar rahi? 😆

Zubin: Wahi to nahi pata Neha? Koun hai vo? Kahan se aayi? 😭

Patting his shoulder….

Neha: To ye baat thi tumhare kho jaane ki…. Aww…. Zubin pehle keh diya hota naa…. Ek kaam karte hain… Dhoondte hain… Abhi function khatam nahi hua hai… Shayad yaheen kaheen ho…. Chalo! 😛

Zubin smiled at this prospect and went off with Neha to search for his dream girl! 😍

Vishal and Dipika were having ice cream…… They looked around and saw that Ajay, Shotgun, Neha and Zubin were searching around for someone…. Confused Vishal asked Dipika….

Vishal: Ye sab log kisko dhoondh rahe hain? ❓

Grinning Dipika answered….. 😃

Dipika: Kisi Purvi naam ladki ko…. Zubin ki dream girl…. Zubin ke khoye khoye rehene ka raaz…. Bechara, bahut khush tha pehle… Haan shaadi naa hone kha gham tha… Lekin ab ladki mili bhi lekin ata pata kuch nahi…. Issse pareshaan aur hai! Poor guy

Vishal: (Giggling) Haan uski pareshaani badi hai, lekin kisi aur ki pareshaani kal se khatam hone waali hai….. So happy?!?!?!? Or should I say ecstatic? 😉

Looking at him Dipika asked smiling….

Dipika: Happy??? Kiske liye? 🤔

Vishal: (Confused) Kis ke liye? What do you mean? Aryan net um logon ko bataya nahi?

Dipika: Kya bataya nahi? Vishal theek se bolo naa?

Vishal: Aryan is joining Special Squad from tomorrow! Uska medical leave relieve hoke do din pehle hi ghar pe courier aaya tha!

Looking back at where Aryan was talking with Boxer and Haseena, Dipika asked surprised…….. 😲

Dipika: It did?!?!? Lekin usne hume kuch bataya nahi!

Vishal: Shayad surprise rakhna chahata tha!

Dipika: Haan ya shayad ye soch ke chupaya hoga ki agar hume pata chal gaya to phir se uske leave ko extend karva denge…… Ye Aryan bhi naa! 😈

Vishal: Aww… Dipika chodo naa… Bachcha hai… (Catching Dipika stare at him, he said chiding) Fine baba… Waise bhi… He is fit now… Bas itna khayal rakhna ki jab vo bahar investigation ke liye jayein to Ajay ya Boxer uske saath ho… Leaving him alone for a while is not advisable…. 😳

Dipika: (Smiling) Pata hai… Waise bhi unke bina vo bahar jaata bhi nahi… Aur to ab tum bhi… (Her smile fading) Vishal iska matlab tum ab Special Squad me…. 😕

Smiling faintly Vishal gave a curt nod and replied…….

Vishal: Perfect timing hai Aryan ki bhi…. Mujhe bhi pichli hafte army me se ek order aaya hai… I have to report to them next week for another under cover mission in Kashmir… Soch hi raha tha ki Commissioner saab se koi aur replacement dhoondhein, but Special Squad has got its Chief Investigating Officer back… So alls well! 👍🏼

Hearing this Dipika became a little upset and said….

Dipika: Oh Vishal… Pehle bata dete to…..

Vishal: To kya farewell party rakti? ❓

Dipika: Of course…. Waise bhi sabse….

Vishal: Isiliye nahi kaha…. No hungama Dipika! Jaise aaya, waise jaaoonga... Lekin only in action not in person.... Kyunki jo Vishal Special Squad me aaya tha vo Vishal ab nahi raha… He's changed a lot and thanks to you for all that!

Dipika: (Smiling) Nai Vishal… Thanks to you for been such a good friend! 😊

Vishal: Well aise keh rahi ho ki kabhi milne hi waale nahi hain… Its not like that… Special Squad se jaa raha hoon… Lekin humari dosti ka rishta abhi hai… Bas ye ki I can't be within contact limits always… Lekin yaad karna…. I'll be there for your help when you need me desperately….…. 👏

Dipika gave him a hug and said……

Dipika: I'll miss you a lot!

Hugging back Vishal said…….

Vishal: Me too! 😕

Involuntarily a tear glistened in his eyes! 😭



The guests were leaving and were coming to say good bye to Boxer and Haseena…. Aryan turned around looking for his friends…. He saw everyone standing at the exit… He wondered what they were doing there…. Casually he roved his eyes around and saw Dipika and Vishal hug….

Involuntarily he felt a tug in his heart…. He knew the hug was friendlier… But what he now realized was the meaning of the tug he felt in his heart… It was not because Dipika was someone else, talking with someone else…. It was because Dipika was away from him, not talking with him…. For the first time ever he felt he liked Dipika more than a colleague, more than a friend…. He knew now he loved her more than himself! But what he didn't know was whether he wanted to accept it… Accept her… Because he didn't want to lose her too!!!!!!!!!!!! 😕


The feast was a grand success….. All the guests had left…. 👏

The Iqbals and Special Squad members and their families were the only one left back…. They stayed till the arrangement of the night's ceremony… Once even that was arranged they all left locking the doors behind them…. 😉

Mrs.Iqbal reminded Haseena and Boxer one last time about the fourth day ritual to bring the bride back to her house…. They nodded obligingly…….

The next day dawned bright and beautiful and excellent for everyone…..

[COLO=RED]Special Squad Office……

The door opened and Aryan put in his first step to receive a blast of claps……. Stunned he let the door which was about to bang back on his face but Ajay caught it just in time…

Ajay: (Grinning) Ye kya Aryan? Phir se hospital jaane ka irada hai kya? Itna lagaav ho gaya ussse? 😆

Aryan came in tenderly and hugging him Ajay said….. 🤗

Ajay: Welcome back to office buddy!

Neha came forward too and hugging him said……

Neha: Missed you a lot here Aryan! 🤗

The other staff also came forward and giving him bouquets wished his come back….

Thanking them he ordered….

Aryan: Okay…. Okay… Thank you! Now back to work….

The crowd dispersed…

Aryan started back to his cabin with Neha and Ajay helping him with the bouquets….. When Aryan entered his cabin he was more surprised to see more bouquets….

Neha and Ajay arranged the flowers around the table and shelf…..

Aryan went to his table, felt it, felt the chair and gave a deep breathing……..

Aryan: Its so good to be back!

Turning around Neha and Ajay looked at each other smiling…. 😉

Neha: Of course it is! Everything back to normal… Only this that Boxer is on a ten day leave for his honey moon… Other than that nothing much has changed! 😃

Looking up Aryan grinned and looked at his opposite table… There was the biggest bouquet full of yellow roses…. Yellow roses which he liked very much! ☺️Surprised he went over and took it…. Seeing a card in it he took it and read the wonderful lines written in neat and small Dipika's handwriting…….

"Of all the blessings in my life....
I treasure you the most!
You're really special to me!" 😉 😳

Aryan smiled seeing the bouquet and the words…. Just then the cabin door opened and Dipika entered smiling…..

Looking up Aryan was all smiles for her….. After Dipika entered Neha and Ajay left the cabin silently…….

Dipika: Good Morning! Welcome back Aryan! 😛

Bowing lightly……

Aryan: Thank you! And for all this too! Lekin tum logon ko kaise pata? ❓

Going back to his desk he cleared off a space by placing some other bouquets on the nearby table, to keep that special bouquet in front of him…. ❤️

Coming into to the cabin Dipika gave a small smile and placing her laptop on her table said….

Dipika: Samajh lo ki koi khaas doot aaya tha!

She went to perform her prayers when Aryan turned back thinking "Vishal"……. 😉 He then went back to his shelf to place the photographs of Niharika and Pallavi back in it place… 😳

When he turned back he saw Dipika at his table zipping open a laptop….

Sitting down at his place…..

Aryan: Ye kiska hai? ❓

Looking up at him strangely......

Dipika: Kaise behuda sawaal hai Aryan? Of course tumhara hai! 😊

Saying she went back to her place to start off with her work….

Still looking stunned at his laptop Aryan asked…..

Aryan: Mera laptop, tumhare paas kaise? 😔

Dipika looked up at him wondering how to answer the question when her cell phone rang… Answering it she excused herself and went outside….

Aryan slowly opened his laptop wondering what had happened in the office in these past months… He knew what happened with him…. That he was told from the time he was shot, taken to the near by hospital, his first aid, been taken to Nasik, his second attempt to murder, then coma and all…. 😕

But no one had said anything to him about what happened in Special Squad…. But now he was here he wanted to know it all….

He got up and went over to Neha's table…

Aryan: Neha mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai, pantry me please.

Saying Aryan went off… Neha looked at him confused for a moment and then followed him…..

Aryan was standing by the counter when Neha entered the pantry….

Neha: Kya baat hai Aryan? ❓

Turning back he said….

Aryan: Bahar batana mana tha, lekin ab to tum log bata sakte ho ki Special Squad me pichle maheene me kya kya hua tha? ❓

Smiling slightly Neha said…….

Neha: Well… Of course! Haan cases ke baare me to tum dheere dheere study karke jaan loge.… Other than that… 😛

Just then the pantry door opened and Ajay put in his head….

Ajay: Aryan naya case!

Aryan looked at him and Neha smiling… Just before going he whispered….. 😊

Aryan: I'll be waiting to hear!

And Neha thought "I'll be waiting to tell!Because I have a lot to tell... In my own way 😳 " She winked to herself!!!!!!!!!!!! 😉

Another beautiful day of March….. Spring was in its height…. Cool soft breezes everywhere….. Festive season was over…… But people still didn't stop rejoicing…. They kept finding reasons for celebrations….. Anniversaries, Birthdays and religious people found reason for poojas……

Mumbai was working hard…….

Special Squad even harder……

Cases came sweeping in….. With ACP, Special Squad, Aryan Khanna as Chief Investigating Officer it was a cake walk to solve cases……. Do I have a say at that!!!!!!!!!!????!!!!!!!!!! ⭐️


Special Squad Office……

Aryan's Cabin……


The Special Squad's Chief Investigating Officer entered the office in a crisp black suit with blue shirt, as usual ecstatic and happy….. The receptionist stopped her work staring at him… When he passed her Aryan wished her "Good Morning", for which she stammered a wish back…

But Aryan didn't notice anything and was his way to his cabin…. 😆

Rita at the reception twisted herself on her seat to have a better look at her boss…. Hmm…. The Chief actually seemed to be more conscious of his looks nowadays…. The whole office noticed….. But she knew is she found looking at him that way some one else wouldn't be happy….

Just as she was about to turn back to her work she heard a clearing of throat… Smiling sheepishly Rita turned back in her seat to find Neha in jean and crisp silk cotton magenta top, staring at her…. 😳

Neha: Dipika ne dekha to you would have to switch jobs…. Mind you! 😈

Rita: (Looking down) Sorry mam! 😕

Neha: (Sighing) Get back to work!

She stood a while looking at the door Aryan had disappeared….

She couldn't help but smile thinking about Dipika and Aryan…. They still hadn't said anything to each other, but in their own way they were been protective of each other…. Without the other realizing….. Winking to herself she went to her place! Love is in the air! Air 😆 😍

When Aryan entered his cabin the phone on Dipika's desk started ringing….

Aryan looked around but Dipika was not there…. That was weird… It was already ten'O clock and Dipika hadn't come yet! 🤔

Still surprised at the prospective he picked up the phone…….

Aryan: Hello…. Special Squad!

………………..

Aryan: (Shocked) Kya? Kahan? Theek hai hum abhi pahoonchte hain….

Placing the phone Aryan went upto his table… Opened the drawer and took out the chain…. Just as he passed Dipika's table, he glanced up… The Goddess idols were placed on the shelf… He walked upto it, gave a small prayer and left the cabin….

Coming out of the cabin Aryan called out….

Aryan: Ajay, Boxer… New case…. Shotgun, Zubin…

Seeing Neha in her place…. Aryan called out again….

Aryan: Neha…. 😔

Neha got up from her seat and turned towards him....

Ajay and Boxer also came there at the moment….

Boxer as usual smoking his pen and pulling up his collar… 😛

Ajay was just checking his gun…

Aryan: Vo… Er… Dipika nahi aayi abhi tak? ❓

Neha looked at him surprised.… She gave a glance towards Ajay and Boxer who had stopped in their actions mildly surprised…. Well... Well… First time Aryan was asking about aunty!!!!!!! 😉

Neha suppressing her smile said…. 😊 😳

Neha: Mujhe to nahi pata Aryan…. She usually informs….

Ajay: (Mischieviously) Aryan chalo case hai… Der ho rahi hai! 😆

Aryan: Haan tum log jao… Main aata hoon…. Neha…

Aryan took Neha aside out of the ear shots of Ajay and Boxer….

But Ajay and Boxer didn't move on…. They stood there leaning trying to eavesdrop on their conversation… They strained to hear what Aryan was saying…..

Aryan: Leave apply kiya hai kya? ❓

Neha: (Thinking) Nai… Nai to…

Aryan: Ek kaam karna Dipika ko phone lagana and get to know where she is… (Seeing Neha's looks) Vo… Urmm… Ek officer abhi tak nahi aaya office… And reason bhi nahi di hai… How irresponsible! Its our responsibility to keep track… Tum pata lagao… Hum chalte hain… 😉

Saying this Aryan turned around to find Ajay and Boxer heads tilted trying to listen to Aryan and Neha's conversations….

Aryan gave them a look of anger…. Since they both had their heads tilted they didn't realize that Aryan had turned around…. 😔

Neha frantically tried to indicate to them without Aryan's notice… But no… They didn't see….

Aryan went upto Boxer and tapped on his shoulder and asked through action "Kya hai?" …. 😈

Stunned Boxer and Ajay tried to act as if they were looking else where…

Boxer: (Smiling sheepishly) Nai to… Kuch nai… Haan case… Der ho gayi… Chalein…. 😃

Aryan: Chalo….

Saying this Aryan went off….

Ajay and Boxer even in that hurry went up to Neha and asked…

Ajay: (In whispers) Neha… Kya poocha Aryan ne? Aunty ke baare me naa?? 😆

Neha: (Irritated) Tcchh… Ajay Aryan wait kar raha hai… Jaldi jao… 😉 😳

Ajay: Babes…. 😳

At this Neha got angry and said….. 😡

Neha: (Hands on her hips) Ajay maine kitni baar kaha hai aisa mat bulaaoo…. Pehle bhi nahi… Aur ab to bilkul bhi nahi…. Koi sunega to kya sochega! 😵

Ajay: (Thinking) Kyun ab kya hua? 🤔

Ajay: (Chiding him) Boxer bas haan… Jab se humari engagement hui hai tab se inka roub aur bhi chal raha hai… Shukar hai marriage is few months later…. Maa ne kaha mera time ab kuch theek nahi chal raha…. To shaadi kuch maheene baad hogi…. Lekin unhe kya pata ki mera time kabhi bhi theek hone waala nahi hai….. 🤢

Neha knew that Ajay was indicating her and said……

Neha: Ajay!!!!!!!! Kya kaha tumne?!!?!? 😡

Ajay looked at her cold stare and afraid she might tell him to his mom, hastily tried to convince her and catching his ears said……

Ajay: Sorry maa…. Sorry…. Kapade badal gaye baaki sab waisa hi hai…. Maa!!!!!!!!

Seeing Ajay's pleading expression and folded hands Neha and Boxer burst out laughing….. 😆

It was true…..

Ajay's mother was a believer in astrology….. She had consulted an astrologer for a date for their marriage when he said that Ajay's time was going bad so better the marriage was postponed to few months later….. 😕 😊

Ajay's mother was stubborn on this issue so they all gave in but decided to get them both engaged…. Last month Ajay and Neha got engaged….

A simple engagement with only closest of friends present…. So of course the whole team of Special Squad was there…. It took place in a temple whose deity was Ajay's mother's favorite….. 😊

But she promised them that the marriage would definitely be blasting….

Boxer: (Asked again) Are Neha… Kuch to bataoo…. 😉

Neha: (Teasing) Haan zaroor Haseena ko bataoongi…. 😆

That was enough to put Boxer out of his talks…. He feared his wife so much!!!! 😕

No…. He actually loved her so much… 😳 Respected her so much….. More than himself……. True to his heart and was really happy with his married life…. ❤️

For that he didn't stop Haseena from working with Vishal in trying to hide his true identity…. Looking after the business for him…. She still continued that…. 😊

He vowed to keep her happy in any circumstances….. 😛

More now….. In the best part of his life….. Happiest moment of his life when he had been promoted…. From just a man to a husband and now to a father…… He was ecstatic….. Haseena was three months pregnant… Confirmed last week…. 🥳

Boxer was in the ninth cloud…..When news came in Special Squad it was like new years celebrations…. The whole team went to Boxer's home that evening to congratulate her….. She was surprised with such a reception….. But the couple was very pleased that they had so many friends to turn to…. 🤗

Everyone in Special Squad was very happy….. They had already started to plan lots of things for the newcomer….. Without fail daily Haseena would get phone calls from Neha and Dipika asking her about her health…. She had become everyone's favorite…… 😍

Haseena was at the other end more than happy with Boxer in her life…. She adored him…. He was the most loving husband a woman could get…. He took care of all her needs unsaid…. ⭐️

Only the other day she came to know that after her pregnancy was confirmed that Boxer had gone to her parent's home and talked with them… Taking instruction from Mr and Mrs. Iqbal on how to take care of her…. She felt proud of him personally and professionally……….. 👍🏼

Smiling at Aryan's concern Neha picked up her mobile to call Dipika……. 😳

Neha dialed Dipika's number…. She frowned... No one was picking up the phone…. Neha became worried now… It was not like Dipika to ignore any call….

Just then the landline on her desk rang…. Still wondering about Dipika's cell, Neha picked up the phone….

Neha: Hello… Special Squad!

Neha's voice faltered hearing the voice on the other end…..

Neha: Rita… Vo… Main Bhagwati hospital jaa rahi hoon… Dipika ka accident ho gaya… Aryan aur sab aaye to unhe inform kar dena…. I'll try to reach them too….

The receptionist nodded….. 😕

Saying this Neha made a dash for the door and went off……. 😕

Neha entered the hospital… She searched around but not finding the person she wanted, she approached the reception…

Neha: (Breathless) Excuse me… Yahan ek accident case aaya tha aaj… Dipika Gosh…

Receptionist: Ji…. Vo…

Before the receptionist could complete, someone called out…..

"Neha!" 😛

Neha turned around…. Neha surprised blinked for a moment not recognizing him…. But she knew it was him….. His face was darkened… He wore a long coat, hat and goggles… He had also developed a fake mole near his chin…. 😲

The face of the voice showed around her…. It was Vishal Malhotra…. Special Squad's once chief investigation officer……

Neha: (A bit relieved) Vishal… Dipika?!? 😔

Vishal: (Calmly) She's ok now… Come…

Neha followed Vishal to the elevator… Vishal pressed the third floor button and the elevator sped up….

Vishal and Neha were standing outside the ICU….

Neha: (Anxiously) Vishal… Ye sab… Kaise hua accident? 😕

Vishal: Actually Neha exactly accident nahi…. Jhagada ho gaya tha….

Neha: (Stunned) Jhagada?!?! 😲

Vishal: Haan… Vo aaj subah…

Before Vishal could give any details the ICU door opened and the doctor came outside….

Vishal: Doctor… Dipika kaisi hai ab? ❓

Doctor: (Smiling) Nothing to worry… She's fine… Dayein haath me fracture hai…. Serious to nahi lekin compound fracture hai… To heal hone me kuch din lagenge hi… One month or so…. She should be really carefull… Phir se uspar zyada zor nahi daalna hai…. 😊

Vishal: (Nodding) Ji doctor… Lekin unke sir pe chot thi?

Doctor: Not a problem… Zyada nahi hai… Upar se hi laga hai… She should be fine with that within two days…. Phir bhi safe precautions ke liye maine x-ray aur CT scan lene ko kaha hai…. Reports aane dijiye…. 😊

Vishal: Thank you doctor! Kya hum ussse mil sakte hain? ❓

Doctor: Sure… Unhe abhi ward me shift kar denge phir mil lijiyega…. She is unconscious lekin jald hi hosh aa jayega….

Vishal: Thank you… 😊

The doctor tapped on Vishal's shoulder and left… As soon as the doctor left the ICU door opened and Dipika was brought out on the stretcher….

Dipika's Room….

Neha was seated beside Dipika's bed…. Vishal stood some distance away from the bed near the door looking at Dipika and Neha's concern for her….

Dipika's head was in a bandage… Right hand was wrapped in plaster… She was still unconscious….

Neha: (Looking up) Vishal tum keh rahe the? Ye kaise hua? ❓

Vishal came upto her… Looking once at Dipika he narrated what happened…..

Vishal: Neha mujhe khud kuch details nahi pata… Dipika roz subah jis raaste se jogging jaati hai us raaste par main bhi jaata hoon, when in Mumbai… (That was when Neha noticed that Dipika was in her jogging suit) Jab main ek mod pahooncha to maine dekha ki ek gunda Dipika ke gale me chaaku liye wahan ke crowd ko dara raha tha…. Jab main wahan pahooncha to Dipika ne ishara kiya… Together we tackled that goon… Lekin isi ke dauraan Dipika neeche gir gayi aur chot lag gayi… That goon had already twisted Dipika's hand behind… Isliye shayad fracture ho gaya… Main Dipika ko hospital bhejhkar us gunde ko police station le gaya… Isliye inform karne me der ho gayi….

Neha: No… That's ok… Actually pareshaan to hum the hi… Dipika used to inform any matter always…. Isliye…

Vishal understood… He knew very well didn't he? Her best friend…..

Vishal: (Shaking his head) Er… Neha…. Aryan case ke maamle me gaya hai kya? ❓

Neha: Haan… Just before you called we got a case…. Maine office me kaha hai ki vo Aryan ko inform kar dein…. Actually maybe I should phone them now…

Hearing this Vishal nodded… Neha went outside to make a call….

Vishal smiled looking at her…. It was months since he had seen her… After coming from Special Squad he had gone away on special duty… The duty had taken up his time… He didn't have time to contact anyone…. And in his duty he wasn't supposed to call anyone…. Even now he had returned back to Mumbai for a special assignment…. 😛

But there were always times when he used to think about Dipika… Special Squad… Aryan…. Everyone…. The months in Special Squad was and will always be a special time of his life…. 😳

For him Dipika was a good friend now… Of course when it comes to her he had a soft spot in his heart, but he had learned to control his feelings long ago…

Involuntarily tears appeared in his eyes… He hated it… He immediately wiped it away and decided it to be better if he left then, when he heard a moaning sound….

Vishal: (Coming upto the bed) Dipika….

Dipika slowly opened her eyes… The room ceiling swam in front of her eyes… She closed her eyes again and opened it…. 🥱

She saw an anxious face peering down at her… She gasped a little seeing the dark face….

Dipika: Koun..?!?!?

Vishal: (Smiling) Don't strain… It's alright now… Tum ab hospital me ho…

But that voice it was unmistakable….

Dipika: Vishal..?!?!?

Dipika looked around as if trying to remember what had happened…. She tried to sit up but….

Vishal: Nahi leti raho… Doctor ne kaha hai no strain…

Dipika: Nai… I want to sit…

Vishal: Ok… Then wait…

Vishal went to the cupboard and pulled an extra pillow from it… He went to the bed…

While Dipika lifted her head he arranged both the pillows behind her… He helped Dipika slowly to seating position propped against the pillows….

Dipika had just rested her head on the pillow when the door opened and Neha entered the room…

Seeing Dipika conscious Neha became very happy…Coming upto her… Vishal moved aside and Neha standing beside Dipika asked….

Neha: Dipika… Are you alright? ❓

Dipika nodded slowly… She was still unable to find her voice…

Vishal: Dipika kya hua tha? Aise goonde se….

Dipika: Nahi Vishal… Vo aaj jogging jaa rahi thi to ek goonda pee ke ladkiyon ko ched raha tha… Use rokne gayi to usne chaaku nikaal di… Tab hi tum wahan aaye the….

Vishal: Thank God ki kuch nahi hua. (Angrily 😡 ) You should be more careful you know!

Dipika: (Smiling feebly) I am fine… Bas sir me thoda dard hai… (Catching her head) 😊

Vishal: Oh… Er… Main jaake doctor ko inform karke aata hoon…

After Vishal went……

Neha: (Worried) Dipika… What is this? Pareshaan ho gaye the… Hum sab… (After a slight pause) Aryan bhi…. 😉

Hearing Aryan's name Dipika looked at her surprised….

Neha was having a knowing smile on her face…. Her smile was so mysterious that Dipika wondered whether Aryan's concern was so very obvious….. 😕

Dipika: Neha?!?! 😲

Laughing at the incident that happened in the morning, Neha sat down in the chair beside Dipika's table….

Neha: You should have seen his face when he saw you weren't there in the office… Mujhse aake poocha tha ki tum kahan ho, koi leave apply kiya hai ya nahi…. Usi ne tumhe phone karne ko bhi kaha tha!

As Neha said it Dipika looked more and more surprised…. Aryan had been concerned for her?!?! In these many months this was the first time he had openly showed some emotion regarding her…. 😳

Neha: (Grinning 😃 ) Aur jab Ajay aur Boxer wahan aaye to he said casually its just a responsibility of a colleague towards another colleague….. Hum bacchein hain ise manane ke liye…

Hearing this Dipika blushed a bit… Composing herself….

Dipika: (Slowly) Waise Aryan kahan hai? 😉

Neha: Ha soch rahi thi ki abhi tak poocha kyun nahi…. (Seeing Dipika's looks she ranted off 😳 ) Vo ek case aaya tha… Bahar gaye hain… Maine inform kar di hai… Aa jayenge… Bas…

Dipika nodded and suddenly stopped… With her left hand she caught her head….

Neha: (Worried ) Dipika… Kya hua?

Dipika: Nothing… Nod nahi kar payi… Head is aching if I do so…

Neha: Oh… Phir to doctor… Vishal gaye the to ab tak….

Just as Neha looked at the room door it opened and the doctor came in with the nurse….

Doctor Hello… Kaise hain aap? ❓

Asking the doctor placed the stethoscope on Dipika's chest…..

Dipika: Fine doctor… Lekin sir me thoda dard ho raha hai….

Doctor: (Checking her eyes) Hmm… Hoga… Chot utna bhi gehara to nahi hai, lekin bahut zyada khoon baha hai… Weakness hogi… Isliye dard bhi hoga… (Looking at her) You need to rest…. Zyada strain mat kijiyega…. 😊

Dipika just gave one nod and Neha asked….

Neha: Doctor kab discharge kar sakte hain?

Doctor: Well… Abhi tak unki reports nahi aayi hai… But nothing to worry… Aaj raat yaheen rehenaa hoga, observation ke liye… Sir pe chot hai to I don't want any risk taken… Kal discharge kar denge… Abhi ek aur injection de deta hoon… Let her rest…. 😊

As Neha nodded, the nurse prepared the injection and gave it to the doctor… The doctor administered the injection and was about to leave when Dipika asked….

Dipika: Doctor… Vo jo aadmi aap ko bulane aaye the vo?

Doctor: (Thinking back) Vo? He said he was leaving… Mujhse aapki hosh me aani ki khabar dekar vo chale gaye…

Saying this the doctor left a bewildered Dipika behind….

Dipika: Ye Vishal aise hi chala gaya…. Why? ❓

Dipika couldn't continue… She started to feel sleepy…. Neha helped her to lie down removing the extra pillow…. As Dipika started to drift into a dreamy world of sleep, Neha's thoughts wondered sadly…. 😕

Looking at Dipika she thought…. "I know why he left without seeing you…. He still has a soft corner for you… Best friend he is, there is absolutely no doubt in it… But still he had loved you once… He definitely is different!" ⭐️

She had decided to go to office for the case…. But when she had phoned Aryan about her accident, he strictly told her or more like ordered her to stay beside Dipika itself…. Her work will be taken care of Shotgun….

Thinking about this Neha smiling, settled down on the sofa and picked up a magazine…. 😊

Around one hour later…..

The door to Dipika's room opened suddenly and a worried Aryan hurried inside. Ajay and Boxer followed him.

Not noticing anything or anyone around him, Aryan directly went to Dipika's bed. Looking down at her he became very upset. 😕

She was sleeping. The very sight of her in such a state did something to him. He couldn't explain the feeling, but he knew that it was not happiness. Anger, sadness, worry…. Or…….. ❤️

He looked at her closely and touched her forehead tenderly. 😳

"She's okay…. Doctor ne injection di hai, to isliye she is sleeping"

Only then did he notice that Neha had come beside Dipika's bed. Taking off his hand hurriedly he looked up at her. ☺️

She had a sweet knowing smile on her face. When she saw Aryan barge in that way she was surprised seeing him so excited. Now she was more than confirmed that Aryan too felt something for Dipika. But something was disturbing him. And she vowed to find it soon. 😉

Aryan: (Hoarse voice) How is she? ❓

Neha: (Softly) She's really fine Aryan. Sir me thoda chot hai aur haath pe multiple fracture hai. Otherwise she is fine.

Aryan: (Relieved) Hosh me aayi? ❤️

Neha: (Nodding) Haan… Sometime ago... Doctor aake check up karke bhi gaye… Kaha ki poori rest leni hai… If the reports are normal aaj ya kal tak discharge kar sakte hain.

Only then Aryan noticed he had been catching his breath for a long time. Slowly exhaling he asked……

Ajay: (Frowning) Neha lekin ye accident hua kaise? 😕

Neha: Actually Ajay ye gaadi ka accident nahi tha….. Vo…

And Neha narrated all that happened… She looked at Aryan, Ajay and Boxer while explaining what had happened.

But when she came to the part of Vishal saving Dipika, she looked at Aryan. His reaction was just as she had expected. He frowned and sort of not okay with his presence. But also relieved that he was there to save her. 🤔

Only then did Neha realise that maybe Vishal left early because he knew Aryan would be coming soon.

Neha finished narrating all that happened…..

Aryan: Acchha hua… Wa…

Just then Aryan's cell buzzed.… Excusing himself Aryan went out to attend the call….

Seeing him leave Ajay started off….

Ajay: Ohoo…. (Raising his eyebrows) Boxer samjha Aryan ko kya hua? 😉

Sitting on the sofa….

Boxer: (Innocently)Kyun kya hua? ❓

Ajay: (Mischievously) Wahi jo tumhe hua tha kuch maheene pehle Haseena ko dekhke….

He wiggled his eyebrows funnily…. And Boxer's ears became red…. 😆

Neha grinning came and sat beside Boxer….. 😃

Neha: Haan aaj subah se Aryan theek nahi tha….

Ajay: Theek nahi tha ka matlab?!?!? Are Neha dekhna chahiye tha use… Case ki preliminary investigation ke baad to vo phone par hi tha… He kept on trying until you called….

Boxer: Haan… Tumhare call karne ke baad to vo aur agitated ho gaya… Shotgun se evidences jaldi collect karvaya aur use office bhejhkar seedha yahan aa gaye… 😳

Neha: (Sighing) Hmm…. Man main hai baat lekin zubaan par nahi aa rahi…. ❤️

Ajay: (With a glint in his eyes) Aa jayegi… Vo bhi jaldi… 😉

He looked around at his friend and would-be with raised eyebrows for their approval…. Looking at each other, they smiled and gave thumbs up sign…. 👍🏼

Just then the door opened and Aryan entered…. All three of them straightened their faces and looked up…

Aryan: Hume office jaana hai… Case zaraa complicated hota jaa raha hai…. Er…

Aryan went upto Dipika's bed and gave a glance at her, looked up at Neha and said…… 😊

Aryan: Neha tum yaheen rehenaa…

Neha nodded and the trio left the room… Neha noticed Aryan turn and give one glance at Dipika and then leave……

Neha turned back to look at Dipika and smiled….

They definitely made a great pair… Both of them had started to understand each other so much…. Before also they understood each other… But it was something different… These months definitely showed changes in their relationships… 😳

The whole team listened to Dipika as much as they listened to Aryan… In a way this irritated Aryan, but she had also felt him giving in to some of her ideas…. This really made a great difference in Aryan's attitude towards Dipika… She felt himself concerned about her…. She had seen the pain in his eyes seeing Dipika hurt like that… 😔

They fought yes…. They still had difference of opinions in the cases and investigating method… Dipika was still a stickler for rules and Aryan obsessed about crime solving… His family's tragedy wound was still left over…. 🤢 Untill and unless that crime is solved Aryan would never be able to get over the obsession…

This one factor about Aryan scared everyone in Special Squad… He was still uncontrollable… She sighed…. Would he ever get over this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? 😕

Aryan stopped short mentioning Dipika's name… It had become a habit to instruct her to do the autopsy soon… The others just looked at each and didn't react…. 😳

At the mention of Dipika's name all her memories came flooding…. The rules she lays, her stern looks, caring words…. Aryan sat down…. She was same… Didn't like him standing and instructing….. Taking a deep breath he continued……. 😕

Aryan: Shotgun… Autposy jaldi khatam karna… Aur jo kuch bhi evidences wahan mila uska analysis bhi kar dena… (Shotgun nodded) Haan Zubin photographs jaldi develop kar dena, mujhe vo dekhna hai… (As Zubin nodded Aryan turned to Ajay and Boxer) Tum dono us ladki ka identity ka pata lagana… General search order mat karna… Both seem to be college students… Issue ban sakta hai… Isliye search discreet rakhna…. Us ladke ke baare me doosre details pata lagana, automatically us ladki ka bhi pata chal jayega….

Aryan looked up at Zubin's face… Everyone cared for everyone here…. He had heard Zubin was very upset when he himself was in hospital… He had gratitude towards everyone…. Especially Dipika…. 😳

Aryan smiled feebly and said…..

Aryan: She's fine Zubin… Kal discharge kar denge use… 😊

Zubin: Thank God….

Going to his lab Aryan heard Zubin murmur….

As Zubin's voice faded Aryan's thoughts woke up… Actually he was not a believer of fate but what Zubin had just said now was true… Bad time seems to be in and around Special Squad…. But been a police officer was not an easy job he knew… Thinking of this and Dipika, he sort of felt proud…. Dipika had tried to stop a crime… Eve teasing…. Due course which she was hurt… She had been doing her duty… He was impressed…. 👍🏼 He had never thought that a woman like her… Stickler for rules, punctual, determined, duty conscious…. She was so strong in profession…. Personally she was….

Aryan's thoughts stopped at this… Personally how was Dipika? That was when it striked him that he knew nothing, literally nothing about Dipika personally… He knew about her family… But that's all he knew about her…. They had come to be colleagues and friends for more than a year now and he knew nothing about her…. Apart from her family, he knew nothing about her interests, her likes and dislikes… He knew none… He knew everything about his whole team…. Inside out he knew Ajay, Boxer, Shotgun, Zubin… Even Neha…. But not Dipika!

He chided himself… Generally he would talk to his colleagues during leisure time… General talks about family and all… That was when again it striked Aryan that he never had casual talks with Dipika… It was always professional…. Why?!?!?!? 😒

Aryan sat thinking where he had gone wrong to neglect a colleague, a friend who sat directly opposite her in his cabin…….. 🤔

Shotgun: (Firmly) Aryan try to understand… Maine sab kuch try kar diya… Every test there is possible to detect a drug… Lekin kuch bhi kaam nahi aaya… It seems like a new one… Lekin kya, kaise kuch pata nahi….

Aryan sat thinking about this strange development… Already one of the victim's identity was unknown and now this strange unknown drug…. 🤢

Aryan: Shotgun unki age….

Shotgun: (Sighing) Eighteen or nineteen…. College first year pad rahe honge, if they ever studied…. 😲

Aryan: Haan Shotgun… It really is terrorizing people…. Students ko kisi par bhi iske karan bharosa nahi ho paa raha… Ab ye case… Victim's ki identity unknown, cause of death unknown….

Shotgun: (Getting an idea) Aryan… Dipika ko pata hoga…. 👍🏼

Aryan: (Surprised) Kya? 😲

Shotgun: Haan… Dipika ne actually London me drug study ki hai… She knows a lot more about them.... To use shayad pata hoga….

At this piece of information Aryan wondered more… He never knew this…. More and more he felt he didn't even know Dipika as much as he thought he knew her…. Even others knew her so well… Khaaskar…. 😉

Aryan traveled back in time…. His frenemy had also known her so well in months and he didn't know her for a year now!

Shaking himself…..

Shotgun was surprised at Aryan's stern reaction…. Special Squad was becoming more and more different…. He just shrugged off and went to apply Aryan's idea…….🤔Pacing the room Aryan was just wondering what was taking Ajay and Boxer so long when his phone rang…. Looking at the number Aryan immediately attended the call….

Aryan: Haan Boxer bolo….

Aryan: Kahan? ❓

Aryan: Theek hai ek ghante ke baad main waha aata hoon….

Saying this Aryan kept the phone…. His cabin door opened and Zubin entered with an envelope…

Zubin: Aryan photos….

Aryan: (Taking the photos) Thank you Zubin…

As Zubin left the cabin…. Aryan went through the photographs…

Something was not right… Coming out of the cabin he went to the board near the discussion table and pinned up the photographs….

Aryan stood looking at the photos from different angles… Then he knew what was amiss…. The positions of the boy and girl…. 😕

The girl was on the bed crossed over in a bad shape… She was actually lying face down on the bed with one hand stretched out and the other hand beside her… But the boy was lying down on the floor face down one hand stretched out and the other beneath him…. Both of them were sort of having the same posture like trying to reach each other… No… If the boy had raped the girl his posture would have been different… Also if the boy and girl took drugs together there were no traces of drugs in the room… No extras, no other equipments to indicate drugs were been used!!!!! 🤔

Shotgun approached Aryan and said….

Shotgun: Sorry Aryan… No clue… That drug is untraceable…

Aryan looked at Shotgun confused and then said…. 😔

Aryan: Keep trying Shotgun… Mujhe ab bahar jaana hai… Ajay aur Boxer ne ek jagah aane ko kaha hai… Aur ye photos nikaal dena…

Saying this Aryan left for the rendezvous with Ajay and Boxer….. 😊

Hospital…..

Nurse: Suniye, ye medicines dena hai inhe lunch ke baad. Aur isme jo injection likhi hai use bhi laa dijiyega…. Ek dosage deni hai.

Neha and Dipika stopped their conversation and looked up to see the nurse extending a piece of paper towards them. Neha nodded and took the paper. The nurse left.

Making a face Dipika said….

Dipika: Ek aur injection?!?! Kitne denge… Subah se teen injections already de chuke…. Oooh… It pains a lot. 😆

Seeing her expression Neha laughed and said……

Neha: Dipika mujhe nahi pata tha you feared injections? 😉 (In mind she thought of mentioning this to Aryan 😃 )

Dipika: (Trying to sound brave) Er vo… Fear nahi… Just that they pain a lot. Anyways kitne lagayenge!

Neha: (Giggling 😆 ) Well.. Sir par chot hai to they are trying to be more precautious bas… Well… Ab jab tum uth gayi ho to latest news… Aryan aaya tha and he was veryyyyyyy worried… He called back sometime ago too….. 😳

At this Dipika looked at Neha seated beside her bed and rolled her eyes…. Nowadays why did she feel that all that Neha could think of talking to her was only about Aryan, Aryan and Aryan only… Even though she never mentioned him…. Inwardly she liked it… The only topic she knew she could talk on for hours without any hesitation….. ☺️But outwards…. 😉

Dipika: (Sternly) Nehaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! 😳

Neha: (Innocently) Kya? Maine kuch galat kaha? I just said you had visitors…. Ajay aur Boxer bhi aaye the…. They too were worried…. 😉

Seeing Dipika's expression Neha grinned inwardly but kept a straight face… After a while Dipika too had to smile…. 😊

Months had rolled by and Dipika and Neha had become really good friends…. They shared everything between them and now was a state that even without speaking they understood each other's feelings very well! 🤗

They started talking about nothing in general…. After a few minutes…..

Neha was saying……

Neha: (Grinning 😃 ) …in ninth cloud or no tenth cloud… No must be nineteenth cloud searching from the top for Purvi….

Dipika: Oh… Abhi tak vo nahi mili? ❓

Neha: Kahan?!?!? Mujhe aur Ajay ko Mumbai me kuch kuch jagah maloom nahi the, ab Zubin ki daya se in saade teen maheene me Mumbai ke nook and corner hum jaan chuke… Lekin uski vo Purvi…. Jaise hawa me aayi aur hawa me hi chali bhi gayi….. Aur Zubin back to his Devdas looks and doings…. 😒

Chuckling a little Dipika asked…..

Dipika: Neha… Tumne kaha teen baar vo use mili…. Teenon baar kisi ne use nahi dekha… Invitation ke bina party me aa gayi kya? ❓

Neha: Wahi to Dipika…. Teenon baar festivity public ke liye bhi open tha… Ek to tumhara dandiya function, doosra Vishal ke ghar ka diwali function aur teesra Haseena ke ghar ki feast…. All three places were not closed to public as such…. Aur in saade teen maheenon me bhi ek baar bhi vo phir se dikhi bhi nahi… Poor guy Zubin… Ab such me sochne laga hai ki kaheen sapna na dekha ho… Actually hume bhi aisa lagta agar Zubin ki vo kit us ladki se naa milti jisse main us din baat kar rahi thi….

Neha nodded and was about to repond when her cell buzzed… She looked at the number it was Ajay… 😳

Smiling she attended the call….. Dipika studied her hand bandage deeply not listening to Neha's conversation…..

Neha: Haan Ajay bolo!

Ending the call Neha looked at Dipika and said…..

Neha: (Smiling) Nothing personal…. Aryan, Ajay aur Boxer ne kaha tha ki lunch humare saath karne aayenge…. Lekin case ke wajah se aa nahi paayenge…. Ab bhi unhe jaldi jaana pada… Seems today's case is very complicated… He said something about college students involved in drugs…. Aur....

Interrupting sternly Dipika scolded Neha..... 👎🏼

Dipika: Neha maine kitne baar kaha hai ki office ke bahar crime scene ke alawa cases discuss nahi karte.... Kise kya pata chal jaye how do we know?

Dipika: Doctors aise hi kuch kahenge Neha… Rest loongi… Once this case gets over… Anyways sir ke chot ke baare me doctor ne khud kaha its nothing serious….

Dipika: (Frowning) Aryan se!?!? Neha is baare me Aryan se main kyun baat karoon?

Neha: (Grinning but making a serious face) Aryan ne phone kiya tha naa kuch der pehle… Tumhare baare me poochne aur maine usse kaha ki doctor ne kya kaha…. To specific instructions sunana chahogi…. Ok then… (Clearing her throat she ranted off in a stern voice like that of Aryan's) Dipika ke paas rehenaa… She is not to leave the hospital till discharge… Aur discharge ke baad haath theek hone tak vo tumhare saath tumhare ghar rahegi…. For a month she is not to strain herself… Aaj shaam ko medical leave application laata hoon, she can apply leave… 😃

Dipika: (Shocked) Kya?!?!? 😲

Neha: Haan aur kuch bhi kaha tha medicines ke baare me… Bataoon?!?!? 😉 😃

Dipika: Nai nai… Bas…. 🤔

Dipika thought of what Neha had just said…. Aryan genuinely did seem concerned about her…. Its just that she had never seen him like that ranting off instructions to look after her…. But she thought this was a new face to Aryan she was seeing…. She smiled! 😳

Placing a hand on Dipika's Neha said softly…..

Neha: Valentines day ke baad baat karne ka mouka hi nahi mila iske baare me….. Aryan seemed so much changed.... So much lively... In teen saalon me after a long time we are seeing him like that... Phir bhi ye khamoshi kyun? 🤔

Dipika looked at her thoughtfully for a long time…. She didn't know…. She really didn't know!

But what Neha said was true….. Valentine's day did bring a change of attitude in Aryan and the facet of hers and Aryan's relationship had changed…. ❤️ But still he hesitated…. Something had actually stopped him that day from…. She had no doubt that, that was what he was trying to do…. But he stopped from proposing her…. 😳

Dipika: (Sighing) Mujhe such me nahi pata Neha…

Neha: (Frowning 😕 ) You don't?!?!? Dipika… Us din… Hum sab me notice kiya… Aryan took a special interest in you…. Then why didn't he say anything?

Dipika: (Throwing her free hand up) I don't know…. I really don't know! 😒 Mujhe bhi laga tha ki that was going to be my day…. The day I had been waiting for… But it didn't and why, what stopped him…. I really don't know Neha…. Kuch to hai jo Aryan ko andar hi andar sata raha hai… Lekin vo khulke baat nahi kar raha…. Maa jaane! 😕

Neha bit her lip and looked on at Dipika…. Next day after valentine's day Dipika had said to her all that had happened when Aryan drove Dipika home… Everyone in Special Squad too noticed the intimacy that had developed between them that day… They too had thought it to be a day they would celebrate…. 🥳 But it had turned out to be nothing…. Nothing at all!

Neha: (Looking at her watch) Its time for lunch… Main jaake medicines khareedke aate waqt lunch bhi khareedke laati hoon…. 🤔

Dipika: Er… Neha… Paise??! 😳

Smiling Neha said….

Neha: Its okay Dipika…. Let me handle it! 😊

Saying Neha left the room and Dipika's thoughts swam in and out of focus to the day she that would have been a day for her to remember forever…. But had not…. 😕
