Episode begins with Agni in Alaknanda's room with Shagun. Agni starts a quickfire round of question on Alak about Vasundhara. She says that i am vasun's younger sister and tells Shagun that your mother has lied to you. shagun tells her not to call her mother a liar...im sure my mother has the answers to all your questions. Agni begins her questions...answer me, wasnt Vasun Kumar's only love? isnt it true that even when he died he loved only vasun? isnt it true that the Bhardwaj family wouldnt accept vasun? isnt it true that kumar and vasun had a baby? Alak agrees with everything in a sad and shocked way. finally agni asks ... isnt it true that Shagun is kumar and vasun's daughter? Alak has no choice but to say yes!! Shagun is shocked and tears are flowing freely. She backs away slowly first then starts running away from the room. Alak runs after her but is unable to catch up. Both are crying in their respective rooms and thinking about what just happened in flashback.
Chaubey maharaj is sitting in the hall of Shagun's inlaws' house. FIL (sumer's dad) informs him that there is a good news...Shagun is expecting. Maharaj is slightly shocked but recovers and congratulates FIL and says that happiness is back in this house. Just then MIL comes and maharaj congratulates her too and tells her that her happiness at this news is shining on her face. She gives him a sarcastic look and FIL says why not...on hearing of her grandchild's conception, she will definitely be happy. He thanks maharaj for having brought the rishta of Shagun in this house and giving them this happiness. maharaj says that they say marriages are made up there, MIL says no it is coz of you that we chose Shagun as my son's suraksha kawaj. Maharaj gets up to leave and FIL asks him to pray for his Shagun. Maharaj raises his hand and as he moves away he thinks to himself that he had wanted to see Shagun as a widow and crying for the rest of her life...instead she is finding happiness...look at what God does.
Back at the Bhardwaj's house, Alaknanda is incensed at Agni for having broken Shagun's heart and spoiling all relations. Agni replies that you have lied to your daughter...you have kept secrets from her...why dont you tell everyone about the secret of Shagun....suddenly for all over, the entire Bharadwaj elder clan comes in and each start questioning Alak as to what secret of Shagun has she kept from them all. Alak plainly refuses to share it. Agni comes forwards and urges Alak to speak it out coz if she herself says it then no one will believe her. Ammaji pressures Alak to speak but Alak doesnt budge. Finally Ammaji tells Agni to tell them all the truth of Shagun. Dramatically Agni tells everyone that Shagun is not your darling Alak's daughter ... all are shocked...but not as much shocked as they are when they find out that Shagun is Vasundhra's daughter. Each one starts badmouthing Shagun specially Iravati and bhabhi...Ammaji is utterly mad at hearing this and shouts at Alak telling that how dare she bring a tawaif's daughter to her house and their hearts?? Iravati bemoans the fact that Shagun is the most favorite of Ammaji...Ammaji shouts WAS not is...i throw her from my heart this very moment...and after this moment she will never be allowed to enter this house and no one will ever maintain any relationship with her. Shagun is DEAD for us.
Alak is left crying in shock.
