The episode starts with Meera requesting Veer to call off the marriage since she is bound by her Mother's promise but he is free to decide their future. Meera requests that if and when she got married, it would mean that all her Mother's drams and aspirations, along with those of Shan's, would not be fulfilled and also a number of hearts will be broken. Veer understands her problem and predicament but is unable to help. He points out that now only an hour is left and if he does something drastic now it would break his Mother's heart and also bring a lot of bad names for his family. He receives a call from his Mother that they are all waiting for him to start their journey to the bride's house. Veer excuses himself and goes away.
Meera stands there devastated and then turns towards to see Shan lying in the hospital bed completely unconscious. She enters the room and sits down beside Shan's bed. She hold his hand and breaks down crying stating that although she had tried a lot, yet she had not been able to help him and Alaka and Ammaji had finally won the tussle.
In the Bharadwaj House, everybody is busy with the preparartions. Yash had fetched the Panditji who praises Ammaji and the family for fulfilling their duties towards the deceased Kumar's daughter and Alaka. He then mentions that the marriage would have to be held within the auspicious time and requests that Meera be brought down to the mandap if she had finished dressing. Amamji asks Ira to go and fetch Meera down, Ira asks Suli to do the honours since she is the eldest and responsible daughter-in-law of the house. Finally both of them go together. Alaka stops them and tells them that she will check on Meera and call them to take Meera downstairs.
Alaka rushes back to Meera's room and finds Abhi there. She asks him Abhi where Meera had gone since only about an hour is left for the marriage and the groom and his family would arrive at any time. She asks him as to whom the friend was for whom Meera rushed away on the day of her marriage. Abhi asks her no to panic and goes to search for Meera.
Suli and Ira are having fun at Alaka's expense, her inability to participate in her own daughter's wedding. All this pains Alaka very much but she is determined not to let anything deter her till Meera was married. Suli and Meera goes again to Meera's room and bangs on the closed door. Shlok comes to them hurriedly and tells them Meera was getting disturbed while dressing herself up and that's why she has locked the door. After these two leave, Shlok asks Alaka to open the door and tells that Meera could not be found. Alaka decides to tell everything to Ammaji so that she could spare her family from getting blasted by the groom's family.
Meera is still in the hospital trying to get Shan to respond. After a lot of crying she decides to go home and as she is crossing the threshold, when Shan calls out for Alaka. Meera is surprised. AT that moment, Abhi reaches the hospital, Meera tells him everything and how Veer would not help them. She breaks down crying and Abhi engulfs her in his arms. He then decides that he ahs to do something fast and not let anybody play with Meera's fortune.
