Nah I think in the name of Paramparein these people are using torture. God did'nt say anything against widows. this is extreme. But I think to understand tradition and religion there is more than meets the eye.

No it is not right. There traditions are age old ones that no one follows now. And it is not right in the sense that you are just plain and simply resisting yourself from living a good and normal life...

I guess no matter what religion one is in i.e. Hindu, Muslim, Christian, there is always parampara by family, status, knowledge, wealth, and etc. But I believe in this serial and against widow, these parampara's are a torture, just plain torture and nothing else. I really feel bad, because in real life women may be facing such outrageous parampara punishments. Am also glad to be born in todays generation :)

No offense to anybody but I do not agree with these traditions and paramparas.If a person dies, its God's will and its not through any human being's fault. then why is the wife punished for the death of a husband.These traditions are definitely a torture and I don't think any religion of the world would encourage torture.
