@padma Mahakali has twisted the most important aspect of Shiv-Parvati union. That union itself happens for Karthikeya, for the son of Shiva to kill tarakasur.

See the burning of Kamadeva happens because the Gods try to hitch Parvati with Shiva as they need to get rid of Tarakasur.

Here they are talking like Parvati cannot become mother. How come. It is turning the Shivpurana upside down.

This is one of the major issue I had with Amish's Shiva Trilogy also. His dealing with Parvati and birth of Karthikeya and Ganesha.

See I am not well versed with Shivpurana the way I am with Bhagavatha or Narayana. Maybe because I come from a Vaishnavite family and Narayana was worshipped more in my house and even our temples.

But still I know all the basic stories of Shivpurana. Union of Shiva and Parvati was for Karthkeya or Shanmugha to kill Tarakasura.

@aditi exactly Sony has Maya and now she is on revenge mode. When she created this much havoc in pyaar mode, what will be the havoc she will create in revenge mode. So Sony is confident 😆😆

Actually DKDM, it was shown that Lord Kama tries to disturb shiva when he is in samadhi..so shiva gets furious and burns him into ashes..so Rathi gives curse to parvathi that she can't bear a child..

So I think mahakali is following the same story...

But recently i completed fourth level course in sanskrit.. Our syllabus contains Kumarasambava written by kalidasa..

The story goes like this..

Kama was burned into ashes by shiva.. So Rathi wanted to end her life..At that time ashiravani (sound from the sky) says that he died because of the curse by Lord Brahma and will regain his life when the right time arrives.. After that Parvathi goes to forest for performing tapas.. Shiva gets impressed with her dedication and agrees to marry her..

The union took place only for the birth of kumara to kill tarakasura

Rathi never cursed parvathi

But in DKDM and mahakali everything is ulta

I have not watched DKDM, so I dont know about this curse. As per the story I know Kama disturbs Shiva when Parvati comes. Shiva for a moment is attracted to Parvati and then he realizes it is Kama's trick and burns him in anger.

Rati cries telling how it can be done. There will not be love in the world and what will she do. The Gods also tell that. And Shiva tell Rati to wait till Dwapara yuga where Kama will be reborn as Krishna and Rukmini's child which is Pradhyumna.
