but inspite of Sita going through the fire test, after banishing Sita with his unborn kids, Did he feel the pain of a father for his unborn kids ?
After Luv Kush reveal that they are Sita and Ram's sons, was Ram happy to know that ?

He hurt more than anyone did Sanju.
He did. That is why, it is said, that Urmila seeing his pain, asked Raghuveer to raise Angad and Chitraketu, for he would feel the love of kids.
He was so happy, yet sad, for He had missed so many years of their life.

What an episode today. Loved the debate of Ram and Raghunandan. Once again Ram breaks rule with the illusion of not breaking anything. Posting analysis soon

To understand today's episode we will have to go back. Go back to the swayamvar mandap where Raghukul nandan Ram enters with Vishwamitra and Lakshman.

Ram the prince had fallen for the princess of Mithila. The beautiful, knowledgeable Maithili. But Raghunandan Ram cannot profess his love to her. Because her father has kept a swayamvar to which the invited kings were competing. He was not invited for the swayamvar. Also all his parents had known is the fact that he is going with Rishi Vishwamitra to help him in killing adharmi asurs.

On one hand sat his love, her eyes that day also looked at him, letting him know what she feels about him. But the prince stood there calm, not even making a move. Because it was Raghunandan Ram and Janaknandini Sita in the Swayamvar hall.

Then what he wants happens. His brother announces publicly his elder brother is capable of lifting the shiv dhanush. Guru Vishwamitra is now forced to take a decision. He asks Ram to move forward and lift the dhanush.

Ram goes, lift the dhanush, proves himself to Raja Janak and claims his love Maithili. Note the point at every step he looks Raghunandan, but Ram gets what he wants. Also note the point he satisfies the criteria set by Raja Janak to win the hand of Maithili. And I had said earlier during those episode itself why did he observe the maryada. Because he wanted his wife to be respected by his family.

Come back to AP. Today once again it is between Ram and Raghunandan. Ram who knows his wife is pure. She only loves him. And Raghunandan who tells the rules of his family.

I loved the way Ram tells Lakshman " Devi Sita", then Trijatha hears him " You cannot come to Ayodhya"

But what Ram talks to Sita. He tells he has failed as a husband as he couldn't protect her and he took so much time to reach her. Note the play of words there. Why he had to take the role of Raghunandan is because he failed as Ram. If he had protected her, she wouldn't have had to stay in Lanka. And if she hadn't stayed in Lanka then she could have gone back to him. It is his failure that is forcing him to give her the liberty. Not her impurity. I loved Ashish in the scene, the subtle pain was beautifully shown.

Now Sita asks the reason and everyone comes. When everyone is present Ram is moving to the reason of his decision. But for Sita he had spelled out the reason in clear terms. And whatever he said was only for her ears. To the world it is going to be Raghukul maryada. Sita who has heard and understood her husband's pain take the step of AP so that he doesn't fail as a husband. He is not forced to leave her in Lanka or somewhere else. Ashish's expression in precap was superb. He knows, he knows Agni wont touch his love. If he is able to take her back to Ayodhya as a husband it is because of her who doesn't want her husband to be a failure, and also who doesn't want people to tell that he doesn't observe Raghukul maryada.

Just like in Swayamvar where Ram and Sita actually had a love marriage but to the world it looked an arranged marriage, today also they succeed as hus-wife but to the world it looks Raghukul maryada.

Hats off shruthi di for bringing out this point
Also when lakshman comes the way ram turns and stands right next to sita kinda gave a feel he was defending her against injustice.
Ram was in turmoil of emotions and the ocean was shown.
Charvi di hope to see ur element theory

Sorry for not visiting Seven Vows recently, di, I promise I will catch up, again! :)

But, the analysis, awesome! Ram says something to Sita, and disguises it as another in front of everyone else. Here, the CVs deserves a round of applause! It is a clear reflection of the swayamvar as you said, Maryada is maintained to get what you want, Bandhan is maintained and you get what we don't want. But, Ram here did not get what he wanted, he had to see his wife go through the Agnipariksha even after having no fault at all. So, was he binded by Maryada of Kul or Bandhan?

The war is over, and Ram and Sita are requested by the Lanka Parivaar to become the King and Queen of Lanka. Ram and Sita, of course, refuse. But the difference between Ram and Sita was that Sita reached for the jewelry, but Kaikesi stopped her, and Ram didn't. People might think that Sita succumbed to pressure, and was about to go against her Dharma. But, that is not the case. Maa Lakshmi has two forms- Sridevi and Bhudevi. She sometimes incarnates as both separately, or as both combined. Currently, Sita is the form of Maa Bhumi, living with nature and unbound. And the jewelry represented her Sridevi aspect. We always have the desire to make ourselves whole by combining our different identities, we want to make half plus half equal one. But, we forget, these identities are not half of what we are, the identity defines us in a whole. So, one plus one will always equal two. What we have to learn is that one moment, you will be one person, in another, you will take on a different identity. You should never try to make them fight, then one minus one will equal zero, and nothing will be left. And Sita will mostly be Bhudevi in her life, for she has to counter the rule bound Ram with her free nature. Sridevi might also be free, but Sita has to also support Ram in his goal, like the Earth, not like the fickle wealth.

Ram has a talk with himself, kind of like the talk Ravan had with his ego after finding out that Ram was Shri Vishnu. Ravan's ego told him that surrendering to Ram would be a sign of weakness, and Ravan, listening to it, killed himself and his kul. Ram's mind comes as Raghunandan, the prince who has to adhere to his Kul's traditions and values. How do we know it is Ram's mind? Because our mind thinks practically, and the heart thinks emotionally. Ram was the emotional side, and his mind contradicted him as the practical view. It was his alter ego, a different side of Ram that we do not really associate with him. If you notice, ego and alter ego are only different because of the word alter. Per the situation, we change our duties and identity, but do we change as a whole? No. But, the very essence of our ego is to change. The word ego means I and it is changed, or in a different form. Once Ravan was caught in the web of ego, he could never get out. Change is the only constant of life, it changes forms, but the impact is the same. Ram's momentary change and Ravan's permanent change contributed and created the same impact- the beginning of Sita's long struggle.

The theme of the episode is reflection. Sita sees the reflection of Surpanakha when Kaikesi says that the nature of demons is to take revenge. And Ram sees that Lakshman, Ram's shadow, becomes his reflection, as he longs for his Urmila as Ram is yearning for Sita. There are many people who inspire us, but what is one thing common among them? All of them have broken or imperfect lives. Broken mirrors reflect more people than a single and perfect one. One thing is for certain, imperfect lives are the ones that are ideal, for to be imperfect is to be truly human.
