Jamvanta utters it's strange that a vulture like Sampati wishes to consume them, unlike Jatayu who sacrificed his life for Sita. Sampati introduces himself as Jatayu's elder brother. Hanuman tells him that Jatayu got killed by Ravana in his attempt to save Sita. Ram himself performed his last rites. Sampati tells them that he's thankful to Sita as she had sent him food. He remembers that he had heard Sita's cries and decides to help the group. He crosses the sea and spots Sita.

Ravana instructs Sursa to protect the outer borders of the sea. Singhika is instructed to look after the air route. She's supposed to catch the invader's shadow and drown him in the sea. Ravana next instructs Lankini. She utters that even Lankesh can't enter Lanka without Lankini's consent.

Sampati reports Sita being in the Ashok Vatika to the search group. Jamvanta thanks him, Sampati departs.

Ravana asks Sita if any way is left for Ram to enter Lanka. He claims that she herself will plead to be his wife. If someone can save her from Ravana, that is Ravana himself, because nobody is superior to him in powers.

Hanuman utters that they should have proper information regarding Sita to report it to Ram. Or else, he would face difficulties in making his plan. Angad utters that he can cross the sea, but he's doubtful of his return. Jamvanta tells Hanuman that he is the solution of this problem. Hanuman replies that he does not have such powers. Jamvanta tells him that he has got unique powers and the blessings of all the deities. A sage's curse made him forget his powers. Jamvanta's words motivate Hanuman. Hanuman swears that until he manages to find Sita and dispel Ram's grief, he shall not rest. Amid the chants of Jai Shri Ram, Hanuman flies to Lanka.

Ram asks Lakshman not to get impatient as Hanuman would return successful. Lakshman tells him that it's been a month. Ram asks him not to consider this delay to be a failure, Hanuman would make the impossible possible.

Hanuman thinks that he shall soon see Sita. Ram tells Lakshman that they should wait till Hanuman returns with the full information.

Hearing a crow's harsh caws, Trijata picks up a stone to scare it away. Sita stops her and utters that in Mithila they believe a crow's caws to be the sign of a visitor's arrival. She wonders if Ram is coming.

Hanuman encounters Sursa in his way.
