Today's episode was a blend of emotions, and to analyze that blend, I am here today! If you want to correct me or criticize my analysis, please do.
Today, Ravan tried to destroy the foundation of Sita's strong faith, Ram. He ordered Trijata to use her magic of illusion to conjure Ram's fake, cut-off head. Sita was still able to see through the facade, all because of her faith and Maa Parvati's imparted knowledge. We know what the scene wanted to teach us, that knowledge and faith serve as the direction and path on the journey of life, but what did this scene symbolize? In the human body, the head where most of our sensory organs and our brain is situated. It is also known as the control center of our body. So, it is easy to say that the head symbolizes control. Ram's cut off head symbolizes Ram losing control over himself after losing his dear wife, Sita. But, isn't that head fake? So, wouldn't Ram losing control over himself be fake too? Yes. Ram, for the outside world, is burning in the fire of separation and is suffering like a normal human being. But, actually, he is aware of the fact that this suffering is for the greater good, and has no qualms in separating from his Lakshmi for a lifetime to teach us humans for centuries to come. Such is Hari's Maya.
Another thing I wanted to focus on is the symbolism behind the meeting of Hara and Hari in their mortal forms. Lord Shiva is the God of destruction and Death, while Shri Vishnu is the Sustainer and Protector. When these to join together, they balance each other and harness each other's powers to do good for the world. In the war against Ravan, the duo will destroy the sinners, and will protect the common people from Adharma by killing the Adharmis. And their son, Ayappa Swami, is the embodiment of this duality, protecting, but destroying at the same time. Just like Him, every human being has this dual nature, and you should cultivate both of these Shaktis and channel them towards the right direction. If you support Adharma and destroy Dharma, then you will never be at peace. Because Dharma brings you closer to God and grants you eternal peace and happiness.
The theme of today's episode is charade. Ravan and Trijata executed a charade of Ram's death, but Sita saw through it. Ramji is acting like a normal human being, trapped by the ties of earthly bonds. And, Hanuman has donned the guise of a sage to find out Ram and Lakshman's identity. From all of this, and the situation that follows, I have learned that no matter how much you try to hide something, it will always defeat the lie that was told. Because the truth is like the sun, that is comes out of the horizon, no matter how much you try, and when it comes out, it announces its existence through its light, taking away the darkness. And lies are like the moon, blotted with the stains of evil and darkness, that are seen because of the sun.
