Charvi, thanks for applying the element theory here! It was very interesting and new. Aadhya, time is very important. When time passes, it never comes back. Also, service should always be selfless, if it is done with a motive, it is not service, it is acting. Good points! And now, for my theme of the day!
The theme for today's episode was protection. Let's go back to the episode and see how..
Lakshman is going to Ram, after a lot of persuasion from Sita, when he gets an idea. He creates the famous "Lakshman Rekha" from all of his goods deeds to protect his dear Bhabhi, and requests the promise from Sita that she wouldn't cross the line. She complies, and with this assurance, Lakshman leaves the ashram. The only fault of the Lakshman Rekha was that Sita was protected from other demons and people, but she could go out, and the power of the Rekha would be destroyed. This symbolizes that prakriti should be protected and cared for, not bound and controlled by humans through technology. And when it is bound, the result is disastrous, like acid rains and global warming.
Akamapna gives the information of Lakshman's departure to Lankesh, and Ravan tells him to go and tell his family that he is bring a daasi to Lanka. He is confident that no one can protect Sita from him. Here, I learned that overconfidence always leads to sin and doom. Because of his ego, Ravan committed the sin of kidnapping Sita and that lead to his doom.
Cut to Lanka, and it is shown that Mandodari and Vibhishan are worried for Ravan. Mandodari asks Vibhishan to check Ravan's Kundli, and it is revealed that Ravan and Lanka is in great danger. He says that the sin that Ravan is about to do will lead to his doom. Mandodari, worried, says that only Kaikesi can protect Ravan from doom now. From this scene, I learned that whatever is written in your destiny is certain to happen, and you can not stop it. Mandodari tries many times to ensure that her husband remains immortal, but his death happened, as it was pre-determined.
We come back to Panchavati, and Sita is shown praying to Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati for Ram's protection and safety, when trouble is going to fall on her only. During her prayer session, Ravan comes and tries to cross the Rekha, but fails. He takes the disguise of a rishi and asks Sita for alms. She gets the alms, but stops because she doesn't want to break her promise given to Lakshman. Ravan sees this and tries to persuade her to cross the barrier. From this scene, I learned that evil can be disguised in many different forms, as a friend or foe, and cause harm to you. If you don't identify it, you will fall into trouble, just like Sita Maa.
That's all I have for today, guys! Waiting for your analyses and discussions!
