i totally agree with everyone here for the costume parts...major rectifications needed...
my 2 cents on this whole costume mess up:
Ram fully covered with the stole while Sita barely is😲...comments on her costume have been doing rounds since the new one she got in rishi Atri's ashram. the major consequence of not correcting her costume got its due in the haran scene.

When she was runnin, it was so much revealin...so distasteful it was...not just the midriff, but they should take care of the fact that her body right from chest to waist needs to be properly covered coz of course, when one runs here and there, the status quo of the dress up gets disturbed and when Sita does not have even the proper covering with the stole, it looks distasteful on the whole.

Before the scene of mata anusuya givin her the new clothes, her red and yellow stoles covering her overall upper body appropriately was perfect. Don't know why then they came up with the idea of experimentin with the stole of Sita. it may be hard in today's times for makers to show women fully covered. I think in a bid to decide on how to make their lead look good coz she has to carry a very very simple look with very simple clothes , they forgot that she is not just any typical lead, but Sita.

And Ram's stole shd be like that of Lakshman's or if they plan to do it some other way, they better get rid of this stomach covering idea. Such drape gives more of a loose look with a sense of bulkiness.

I totally agree with you.

I do not understand why Ram and Lakshman are dressed so differently. Lakshman's look is perfect in my opinion. They should have folded Ram's top cloth the same way Lakshman's is. Ram and Lakshman were warriors after all, and they'd have found it distracting and difficult to fight if entire front is covered with a cloth.

On the other hand, Sita's revealing outfit was made 10x worse during the haran sequence due to her running here and there. Her entire blouse was revealed and altogether it was quite distasteful.

Sarees can be beautiful and form fitting without being revealing. Had the makers wanted to show Madirakshi at her best, they could have given her a simple saree that would cover all the essentials, but still look attractive.

I know many women nowadays like to wear revealing clothing, and there's nothing wrong with that as per current times, but this is Sita Mata, and she shouldn't be shown dressing like a girl of today's times. It isn't dignified, as she is playing the mother of the universe.

@RamkiJanaki yes..i agree with each and every word of urs. CVs catering to modern sensibilities in terms of dresses is actually affectin in reverse. people are quite sensitive to presentation of mytho characters in general and plz for the love of lord, this is Sita Mata they are portrayin. Haran scene is the crescendo of this whole costume blunder they have done.

Yes, even if people prefer to dress modern in today's times, they expect authenticity in mythos and historical shows, because everyone knows what dressing style existed in each era. Viewers are not idiots. CVs showing Sita in modern clothes will not make viewers happy. In fact, it will make many people angry as Sita Mata is one of the dearest Goddesses people pray to everyday, and she is close to so many people's hearts, myself included. It is distasteful to see her portrayed in this way.

toh, sitaa haran ho hi gayaa aur jataayu aahat bhi ho gayaa. sitaa ne apne aabhushano kaa tyag bhi kar diyaa aur abhi tak raam aur lakshman bhaag rahe hain aashram ki taraf.

A gem from tonight's episode.. Sita to Ravan - You are doing this to avenge your sister. I accept this punishment. Tum mere praan lekar apna pratishodh poori karo. This does it for me.. Absolute pathetic and disgusting depiction of Maa Sita. She is portrayed as a weakling who pleaded first with Surpi and now with Ravan to punish her and kill her for the sins committed by her devar and husband.. This is the abysmal depths to which the CVs have fallen.. Total disgrace..

Wht are the cvs doing she could have well jumped off the vimaan if she wanted to die why take the pain of lifting the sword. And if sita herself is justifying her haran what else is left
