Nice one Ramya. Sorry could not respond yesterday though I read it immediately. Nice one. Though both set of brothers had different level of bonding, even though Ravan & Kumbhakarna were not highly appreciated like Ram & Lakshman, their love for each other was amazing. despite knowing the fact that he will die if he go to war field as it was not his awaken time, Kumbhakarna didn't hesitate. His only goal was to help his brother the best he could do. He never questioned his brother's orders and actions. His love for his brother was like blind faith. EVen Lakshman had a blind faith in his brother but for him, his brother was the epitome of goodness, so he was appreciated while Kumbhi was thrashed by people.😊

@bold: True. Well said. This is the reason I made one comparison post about brothers and father-son relationship some time back. (Meghnada and Ram)

I heard that between Jaya and Vijaya (Vishnu's dwaraphalakas) only Jaya talked rudely with the rishi kumaras so he took the forms of Hiranyakashipu, Ravan and Shishupala while Vijaya supported Jaya but not talked rudely to Kumaras, so he took the forms hiranyaksha, Kumbhakarna and dantavakra. Though they are also demons the level of their crime decreased in each form. So Kumbhakarna was a good brother but not a person who respected woman.
