Bharath is emotionally trying to convince Ram but Jabali rishi involve himself in the conversation.

Jabali: Ram, what is the soul you are talking about? Show me the soul (athma). We all are just human beings born in earth to complete our task.

Ram: What is the task for the new born human being when there is no soul or prebirth/rebirth?

Jabali: We have to lead the life as it goes and no carry over

Ram: Is this the task for a human being?

Jabali: The task is set by thyself. To fulfil the wish of a greedy woman, you want to run away from your duties?

Ram: Be in your limits, degrading a woman can no way shows your greatness. By the way, I am not running away from my duties but on the mission to perform my duties.

Jabali: What is your duty? Is it just obeying your parents or helping those people who trust you?

Ram: Both

Jabali: Then why you want to stay in forest?

Ram: When I can't fulfil my father's promise or my words as a son to Kaikeyi matha, then how can I fulfil the promise to the people which I will make at the time of coronation?

Jabali: So, to show people that you keep up your words, you are going to live in forest?

Ram: No, to establish myself.

Jabali: Establish, what?

Ram: Dharm

Jabali: who's dharm, yours or your parents?

Ram: Human dharm

Jabali: What do you mean, establishing human dharm in forest?

Ram: Path which clears our sin and pay way to mukthi.

Jabali: Mukthi, where is it? From what you want mukthi, this body?

Ram: Mukthi from my own wrong thoughts, decisions and to act according to my inner conscience. Unless you satisfy yourself, you can't satisfy others.

Jabali: Satisfying ourselves is a part of selfishness

Ram: Self-satisfaction is not selfishness. When you can't satisfy yourself, you won't be able to meet the need of others.

Jabali: Ram, people need you right now. Its rani kaikeyi's avaricious wish which is not required to be accepted. Prajas simply require a safe and sound life which they trust that only you can give them.

Ram: What is the difference they found between me and Bharath? How they know that I can rule better than Bharath? People need a good king and anyone being good and talented can be in the throne.

Jabali: You are not answering my question, but simply back questioning

Ram: Rishi, are you ready to accept my answers? You have a predetermined view. Any of my answers are not going to satisfy you. Its only the time which can reply all your queries

Sage Bharadwaj enters his ashram from temple and heard the last few conversation b/w Jabali and Ram. He thought water and ice are the different forms of the same chemical formula H₂O which changes with temperature. Jabali and Ram are the different path of the same concept of life which can change only with time.

Bharath, Sumantra and others greeted Sage Bhardwaj. As Jabali failed convincing Ram, Bharath decided to emotionally weaken Ram bhaiya.

Bharath: Ram bhaiya, so you are not going to come back. Okay, then I will also stay here with you.

Ram: Bharath, what are you saying? Everyone will be waiting for you in Ayodhya. You better go back, I won't come now.

Bharath: Okay, I won't go unless you promise me that you will come back after 14yrs and accept the throne.

Ram: I can't promise about something which I am not sure. But anyways, we will come to Ayodhya, once we complete 14yrs.

Bharath: Fine, be back exactly at the end of 14yrs and accept the throne, if not your brother Bharath will commit suicide.

Ram: What are you saying?Bharath, listen to me...

Bharath: Ram bhaiya, I made a vow, so no more arguments. If you want to save your brother, be back at the right time.

Bharath: Please give your footwear, which will rule the kingdom till your arrival.

All are stunned to hear this statement of Bharath including Jabali.

Ram mind voice "oh, no. I tackled the rishi also, but this bharath... He emotionally blackmailed me without even getting my promise. Now I know how Kaikeyi matha surpassed pitaji"

Bharath with Ram's slippers in head, Sumantra, Jabali and others leaves the ashram.

Ram noticed Sita who is lost in some deep thoughts...
