Yes Savitha. it was beautiful on all respect. I really loved it when Ram said today Lakshman should pay attention to Urmila as she will be waiting for him.
If Lakshman does the service, Ram understands his other obligations too. Compare it with today's people who just want to take advantage of people doing service.

Another wonderful episode !!
Just as many mentioned the interaction between the couples were very beautifully introduced !
The Lakshman Urmila scenes were so beautifully done . Their initial rub offs had laid the foundation for their present love and acceptance ( strong and giving !).
Nice to note the similarity in among the couples such as - ram and sita being the eldest care for their young ones , almost respect for the elders and concern over every life around them with compassion .

Lakshman and Urmila who are selfless and trying to do their best for their siblings ( even at the cost of their pain !)
Barath and Mandavi sharing a similar interest of art !
Shatrughan and shruthkirti being the last -are so devoted towards their elder siblings !

Shruthi, as always your words do have the magic of their own !
The sacrifice of our soldiers are indeed the ones each of us have to remember with gratitude.
All of us should make it a routine to include them in our prayers .
Their families are ito be respected and supported by one and all .
The similarity drawn on this with Urmila was indeed a very nice thought.

Urmila was such a beautiful charecter who does not get that credit as much but yet ...

Well said Shruthi!

A waiting Urmila was a very symbolic scene, so was their intimacy and perfect understanding for each other.

Lakshman and Urmila are the perfect examples of the most human and passionate characters in the Ramayana who sacrificed their personal happiness for others. The scene was very well enacted and portrayed

Thanks Vipraja. Actually the soldier comparison came because I understood Lakshman as a duty bound man in the service of his brother and urmila says that service makes him happy. The only people whom I could think of doing service of the highest form voluntarily were soldiers. And it kind of vindicated Lakshman too. Why he choose his brother over his wife. Soldiers do it. Service of Motherland over and above personal life. And their families have to accept that. @bheegi sacrifices were demanded from Ram-Sita. Ram had to do vachanpalan that was his dharma. Sita had to follow him, that was her dharma. But Lakshman and Urmila, their service was voluntary. That's why even after centuries people are still connected to them.

Shruthi, as always, your post was absolutely fantastic. And I connect to it. Completely.
Lakshman and Urmila are two characters who I hold very close to me, as I personally connect with them more than with anyone. With Siya-Ram, there is always respect, and a tone of Divinity, as well as formality.
But, with Urmila-Lakshman, other than respect and Divinity, I feel empathy and understanding with them. They have served as examples, and will always serve as examples for the definition of selflessness. Their acceptance of each other is what made them survive the 14-year separation.
I drew a parallel when I saw the Diya Milan episode. The way Urmila describes the Diya Milan proves that she is indeed Lakshman's ardhangini.
Once again, fantastic post :)
Keep writing :)

@twinmadness yes during diya milan I too had made the post that the way each girl defined diya milan reflected their outlook towards marriage life.
