Awesome post👏.
Lakshmila's sacrifice can not be ignored. She was the one who stayed away from her husband for a long time. U beautifully compared them with today's soldiers. Who can forget niranjan his wife and daughter's sacrifice. His wife nd daughter's sacrifice is same as urmilla.

About today's scene, yes cvs gave us an amazing scene. They were so comfortable and even while asking for her promise he din't hesitate as he was sure that his love will understand him. It was straight no drama and loud bg.

More than that she looked tired but she chose to wait...

Plus lakshman says "soyi nahi abhi tak?"

I don't think we will get nidra urmila story here...

To know her situation in future, her scenes with the queens are essential...

Shruti...I have been reading ur posts every day ya...but never actually got time to comment...frankly in my office we have limited internet service and by the time I come home it's tooo trying...I just ready the forum and your topics for sure...👍🏼 But but but...today I had to comment..I had to,...it was our likshmila all the way today... Ok first let me tell you one thing I observed...
including Lord ram the other 2 brothers referred to their wife's as Aap...but laxman called Urmila TUM...yes..that a beauty of their relationship...which u have explained beautifully... I just loved how he openly spoke to her about his inner most wish n seeked her support as if he knew already knew she would...

But I really felt so sad for dear Urmila...little did she knew what she was about to go through for her sister and laxmam ...😭omg...

I loved the epi today ...specially SIYA Ram n our Laksmila...

Shruti di...your posts are so beautiful that it is a task of humongous effort to make a comment that can match your original scribbles! I so loved the episode and more than that I loved your post! Indeed Urmila is a reminder of all those bravehearts who give their husbands and sons for a cause without a whimper or self-pity!
The Pathankot matyr Niranjan and Siachen tragedy warrior Hanumanthapa are all such examples where there were brave women backing a noble cause!

WELL WRITTEN!👏
You are correct in drawing a parallel between Urmila's sacrifice and the sacrifice made by soldier's wives.
Lakshma and Urmila's love is pure, divine and selfless. For the love for their siblings, they sacrificed their own love. Both of them single mindedly seeked their sibling's welfare and never asked anything for themselves. Now that's what you call love.

Hey Shruti...this is such a beautifully written post.I cannot imagine Lakshman without Urmila and vice versa. So even when the Vanvas track begins they would be one in soul. Also wonderful comparison to today's soldiers.Lakshmila will always be the epitome of sacrifice and their lives will continue to inspire one and all

Thanks everyone. @Meself Never hesitate to post. I read all the replies and please understand that it is through your replies, I manage to get some other info, some other point which I over looked. It is not about words matching what I have written, it is about your perspective on the topic 😃

It was a good episode .It was as if all the four couples were giving us the tenets that constitute a great marriage. The scene of Ram and Sita was the first tenet-love and respect .I loved the expressions on their faces when they are interrupted by Lakhman, there was just love for him too...also the pride in her expression when a smiling Ram is observing Lakshman leave. The best message-the love in their hearts is just not for each other but embraces their family too.
The second tenet is given by Lakshman and Urmila: A full hearted acceptance of each other's duties and a promise of unconditional support to fulfill them.
The third tenet is taught by Bharat and Mandavi-a selfless giving and completing each other.
The fourth Is of course Shatrugan and Shutkirti-he gives her the gift of communication and acceptance of each other's mistakes. What a set of profound principles for marriage especially now in this era when it is losing its sanctity. Well done writers for both the the said and implied words.
Savita
P.s- loved your tribute to the brave soldiers and their families. We don't remember their sacrifices as often as they deserve.
