One of the most beautiful messages, a message I have always believed in. Enjoy the journey. Because destination is just a pause point, before the next journey starts. But journey has beautiful moments, failures, life lessons so much that when you reach each destination you become a new person. Something goes from you, but something also comes to you.
No journey is small, no journey is unimportant. Even the daily journey from home to office can be interesting if you observe.
My craze with window seat is always associated with this need to enjoy the journey. When in train I love to see the change in landscape, the longest I have taken so far will be from Trivandrum to Calcutta. From the greenery of Kerala, through the windmills of TN, barren space of AP to the bustle of Westbengal, how the nature had changed its color. I enjoyed standing in the world's longest platform Kharagpur, sun rise of Darjeeling, to standing at India- China border at Natulla Pass, to enjoying the architecture and beauty of Konark, that journey is still fresh in my mind.

So has been lot of my other journeys. I love to travel whether it is Waynad in Kerala or Taj Mahal of Agra or Gate way of India Mumbai or to shopping in T-Nagar Chennai or Commercial street Banglore, to have tea in Thattukada in Kerala, matka chai from a chaiwallah in Mathura, Chat of Calcutta, Badam milk in Adayar Ananda Bhavan and Dosa of Saravana Bhavan. Travel teaches you lot.

From food, to culture, to language, to experience it opens your mind, it open your perception. I have never missed a single tour from school, college or office and have never missed a chance even for a simple walk from home to nearby park.

And journeys become more beautiful when you have your dear and near ones, especially with your husband. It is not just the travel to places, but it is also a journey of discovering each other. With each new incident new facet emerges, with each tiff new understanding emerges, you both grow as individuals learning, challenging each other and enjoying each other's company.

Yes your ability to enjoy the journey will decide your destination, because if you keep too much focus on destination you will lose the precious moments of the journey and you will be tired when you reach destination and you will not have it in you to take another journey. Dont do it.

And understand that love story is also a journey. A journey of discovery of 2 people and it becomes beautiful only when challenges come and the couple overcome it with their love and understanding.

My friends always used to tease me on this aspect. They used to tell " Mera Dil nahi hai" reason I will sleep in front of the so called super hit movies Ishq, Aashiqui, Dil etc.. I will mock. Where is the heroine getting black saree, are wood cutters the tribe made of run away couple. Then when my friends were crying watching Devdas, I really wanted to sleep. I was like " Kaisa aadmi hai, khud mar gaya, us bhi jeene nahi diya". Is drinking alchohol and dying solution to all problems.

Then comes Mills and Boons love story books. I have tried reading. But max I could do was 42 pages, I felt sleepy.

But was it really " Mera Dil nahi hai". No. I loved certain type of love stories mostly Tamil from Mounam Samatham, Melle Thurantha Katakku, Kadal Kottai, Thullatha manavum thullum, Jhillonu oru Kadal, Alaipayuthe, Roja, Vinnaithandi varuvaya. Hindi only 2 movies so far DDLJ and Jab we Met.

So what was common in these movies. They were not perfect. They depicted journeys. The conflict of people and instead of running away how love made them face the conflict and come out successful. The movies that showed the ultimate transforming power of love, its endurance and not the lust.

So are our mythology stories whether Ramayana, Whether Shiv-Parvati, Whether Mahabharata it all teaches us the power of love, its endurance, the journey in which true love is discovered and that's why they are still evergreen.

Life is like journey , y to worried or think about destination
its like journey is present n destination is future...

di so nice post👏
journey is important not the destination so true dii👏
Life is so uncertain we should lead it happily😃
Life is our journey on earth facing all the human troubles happiness and reach the the God
life is a long journey we should not just live anyhow, we should love the way we live our life.
this makes our journey happy and pleasant😃

There is a poem on Life i always loved it
it says

Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,😃
Life is but a dream.

It is a journey
For Salvation

Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,😃
Life is but a dream.

it means:😳

Your boat = your life.

The stream = time. Water is always moving, so is time.

Row, row, row = you're constantly rowing, constantly moving through life, constantly working at it. You don't just row for a little while and then rest. Uh-uh. No breaks. No rests. Life. Keep moving.

Gently = It's not a race. You aren't racing toward the end - um, your death -are you? Gently row through life, don't hurry. It's the trip (life) not the destination (death).

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily = attitude, personality, character. How you look at things, positive versus negative, optimist versus pessimist. Be happy, be passionate on the way. They say attitude is everything. Enjoy your life, enjoy the ride.

Life is but a dream = Dream or nightmare, we have the ability to choose what our life will be. We cannot decide what happens, but we can decide who we are, what we become, how we react, how we cope. It's our life, our dream. And our choice.

one more different meaning😳

Boat = body. It's the vessel for your movement, changes, growth, learning, development, awareness.

Row, row, row = you have to work for what you want in life, have to apply effort to get where you want to go. Unless you row, your boat won't go anywhere. Be careful of distractions that could pull you away from your goal. But don't be so focused, have such blinders on, that you don't remain open to change, to life, to possibilities.

Gently down the stream = let go of the past, move toward your future. Row gently because to push or force or fight the natural direction your life is leading you will only create stress and upset.

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily = you may already have it hard. Don't make it worse. Water can be rough but you can get through. A negative attitude will not help, in fact, it will make things worse. Use the challenges you face to make you a better person.

Life is but a dream = touches on the dreamlike state of reality. The world is physical around us, yet thoughts and emotions change, shift, alter, transmutation making something less physical, solid. Dreamlike.

@Krishna and Jayashree when people observe successful people they only see the success, not the path to success. When they see path to success not many would like to follow.

@manasa beautiful poetry and thoughts and you made me remember one of my favourite lines in Robert's Frost's poetry
" Woods are lovely dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep"
Yes to be lost in illusion is to be lost in life. You can take the beauty. But you have to face the reality and move on.

Di i like his poems too😃
you have taken his name and i remembered this poem
it always inspires me😃
its not actually related to the topic but its a superb poem
THE ROAD NOT TAKEN😃

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I"
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
