In Sat's episode I had mentioned that Sita ran back during vidaai because she needed closure. Closure of her past and today we saw a woman who was willing to go forward in her life. She had accepted a new journey had started for her. She had lived a beautiful life in her maayka. Now she is with her husband, going to set up her home with him. A husband who loves her.
And Sita gave pearls of wisdom to her sisters. A wisdom each of us should try to emulate. Yes they were missing Mithila. But Sita asked them to look at the positive. They 4 were together. How many sisters are fortunate on to get this. Holding past memories is fine but that should never hold you from creating new memories.

So what does that mean. It means that keep the beautiful memories of the past. if there are painful memories in the past take learning from them and discard them. Past should always make you smile so that you can look at the present and build the future.

Many people spend their time discussing the past. Especially the bad things happened in the past. That makes them cynical towards everything. They will try to see negative in everything. Will never encourage anything. Will always have one complaint or another in any given cricumstance. They dont trust themselves and hence are unable to trust anything else and they create the atmosphere negative stalling progress, stalling positive change.

So we have to decide where should we belong. Should we cling to past and allow past to dictate our future also, or we want past in our control to make present in our control. Choice is ours.

Always give past a closure, let how much ever painful it may be. Whatever pain allow it go. Cry, write on a sheet of paper, read it, throw it. Do it as much as you want, till all the negativity goes out from the system. Then whether it is an incident , or a person from the heart forgive that person or that incident. Then never allow that incident or person to torment you.

But if you have something beautiful, some achievements always keep them, to reminsce. To give you motivation in negative circumstances. Remember the people who helped you, their struggles. Learn to smile. Try creating more beautiful memories for you, also for others.

Letting go is important. But it's not easy. The past is over and dine.Nothing can be changed. And by worrying about the future simply takes away what is happening in the moment too.

Well said Shruthi. Past is finished future is unknown and live the present because its the present (i.e gift) from god. But at the same we should remember two important things from the past forever (i) who helped us in our need and (ii) the mistakes we committed either knowingly or unknowingly.
But its always difficult to remove the bad memories and which not only creates negative vibes but only sow the seed of revenge in us. When we get this eliminated we can attain the wisdom. But unfortunately my memory is so strong that neither i forget nor forgive😊.

@jayashree I know it is not easy. I have read a book " Magic" it has some practical tips that can help us deal with past. I have used them also. Once we make those tips a habit we will find it easy to come out of past.
Then of course in Indian Express Sunday supplement there are many thought provoking motivating spiritual articles that are practical also.

completely agree with you shruti
but on a lighter note "easy to say but hard to execute"

but then again as you said... we should take examples from past and should create new and beautifull memories learning from our past mistake😊

afterall life moves on, whether you act as cowards or heroes😉

Past need to let go for present n future
if anyone has bad past then don't dwell but take exp n move on n make good memories...n if anyone has good past then don't cry but remember it with smiles... n make more good memories with it..
this is the valuable lesson I got from my father..I found peace with this ...

Loved todays post Shruthi. Agree with everything you wrote. If we dwell in our past our present will be ruined and there won't be any future. Your near and dear ones will be the ones who will be affected directly. It will affect their mindset, personality and also their future.
When we remain negative it usually drains all our energy. Whatever happens in our life we will always finds a way to make it negative and act in such a way that we will never be truly happy. As if the whole world is conspiring against us, when actually we are our own enemy. It is up to us to decide if we want to move on or not. If you think that the person or incidence that hurt you have already done enough damage then it is better to not let it affect your future too.
