I too am happy to be watching this show - for two reasons - one the show itself is enlightening, and second the kind of discussions that we are able to have on this forum - the learning and the good thoughts that I pick up from here are itself something to be thankful of!

Once again I can't help but compare it with the other shows of today - 6:00 dirty games being played to throw the daughter in law out of the house

6:30 - ditto, 7:00 pm - kidnapping, bigamy, abuse, 7:30 - murder, alcoholism, sceheming... All these are supposedly family shows that showcase and uphold family values and have randomly thrown dialogues about sanskar, and parivar and ekta and sach ka saath ...

The highlighted time is Trisandhya time when we need to chant Lord's name and light lamp in the house. We are supposed to hear pleasant bhajans or soothing music during this time. And what are people doing watching these type of shows at that time. They are bringing negative music and negativity in their home and then sit and blame fate.

Arshi, your write up was great.
The bidaayi scenes were indeed soulful and had a heartrending feel to them. Sita has been stoic till now and in the final moments of her leave taking , she just couldn't control her feelings...It definitely did not seem overdone as is seen in other shows...A father's advice to his daughter about giving time for her new family to understand her but at the same time protecting her self -respect at any cost is of so much value especially in our modern times. As for the precap I hope that they don't show Kaikeyi as a typical t.v mother in law as they did in an previous version of ramayan {the first version of ramayan I left midway...could not gather the courage to continue to watch it after she tries to prove Sita as unlucky and furthermore tries to get Ram married again...Really scary😕}.

Its very nice. Thanks Shruthi for the info.

@Savitha Kavitha Kane's other sister has this version of Kaikeyi trying to get Ram married second time, but Ram stoically refuses.
So CVs can take this path. Also I feel that path has to be taken. Because many a new bride's life has been made hell by in laws calling them inauspicious just because some tragedy befell the family in the immediate days of marriage.
If CVs use this opportunity to dispel such notions I will be happy.

I am all for messages that are needed in this society...but I am not comfortable with the idea of it this way, being shown in Ramayan . Kaikeyi in most of the versions has always come across a person who loved Ram the most ,but in a moment of weakness gives in to Manthra and sets in motion the chain of events that results in such devastation. I have always felt that she gave in to Manthra only because of her feelings of guilt that she could not love her own son more than Ram...well let us wait and watch. Maybe this team will surprise us with their version of the incidents.
