She stood on the threshold
The lehenga seemed heavier
Hennad feet stalled on the last step
Her head bent
Through her lashes she saw her soul waiting
A silent sob
Her mother's she knew
A sigh
Her father's she knew
A tear threatened
A fist clenched
A cheek flushed
A life time flashed
She turned
allowing the smile
To replace the
Heartache...
The tear escaped
As she bowed
Gently it slipped
And
touched
Their feet.
