She stood on the threshold

The lehenga seemed heavier

Hennad feet stalled on the last step

Her head bent

Through her lashes she saw her soul waiting

A silent sob

Her mother's she knew

A sigh

Her father's she knew

A tear threatened

A fist clenched

A cheek flushed

A life time flashed

She turned

allowing the smile

To replace the

Heartache...

The tear escaped

As she bowed

Gently it slipped

And

touched

Their feet.

Oh jayshree di... You don't know how much I missed your short poems... Ever since the short fiction index got lost I don't think you posted any new work...neither did I,m nt geting time... Btw Loved it... Part 2 toh hai na??

Tuna 🤗 actually academic year ending and I am buried in work. My brain stops poems and looks at numbers🤓. U to missing in the writing. Thanks for missing me
