How can the defense be same as that of attack. 😃. You will know the impact when Lakshman falls for Brahmastra. Ram is lost like anything. He is that kind of emotional strength for his brother. The episode is a lesson.. for those who only knows how to burden off thier burden( daughter)...by hook or crook without valuing the girls own aspiration and choices and whic somehow becomes ...one of the main reason for divorce these days in my POV...

Truly great episode. I agree all povs about Bharat. I would also like to add how family supported Mandavi without thinking about family pride, vachan and other stuff. They gave importance to her decision and stood by her.

I have noticed this in real life as well
When a proposal came for me and I had rejected it people were surprised and shocked since I mostly agree to everything. But I was sure that if I marry just thinking abt others wish and not knowing what I wanted I will regret it. I thought of marrying after some time since I didn't want to take up the responsibility at the time. I am glad I told my opinion and my parents respected it
I remember ppl telling me the guy is nice then why are u rejecting it. He t had rejected a lot of girls before me. I asked them if he can reject saying they aren't suitable for him why can't i do the same. Why should a girl agree just because the guy liked her. If it were a guy rejecting a girl would u force him to marry that girl.
I have always hated the fact a guys family came and scanned the girl up to down and find fault in her. How will the girl feel. What abt her self esteem. Why doesn't anyone think abt it.no one likes being rejected.
I remember one of my neighbours committed suicide cos she was forced into marriage. I think women should be allowed a say in marriage as much as men. After all both of them are in this together
I liked the fact that both bharat abd ram asked mandvi abd Sita abt their wish of marrying them.
One of my frnds's fianc had done the same. He wanted to make sure she wasn't forced into the marriage.
I hope more ppl do this in future
