Hi Arshi.
'It is a truth universally acknowledged' that we tend to enjoy other people's weddings much more than our own{sorry Jane Austen, needed to borrow your line😉}.This' Mithila' with its emphasis on women power continues to strike the right chord in our hearts. The episodes have taken on a gentle yet exciting hue. The scenes with Sita and Sunaina with its poignant flavour interspersed with the siblings ' teasing scenes and the reverence of the wedding rituals are brought together wonderfully.👏.
Sita seems to be quite levelheaded to openly question the rules of Ayodhya, but like you I am also looking forward to her scenes with the three mothers. But for now the episodes are proving to be both entertaining and educational.

Yes, quite a masala entertainer these wedding episodes are, with the added flavours of budding romance and cribby crabby family members, emotional scenes et al.
You know, if you see the so called 'normal' shows on TV, esp SP, they are so morbidly perverted and distorted, and in the name of family values, show such depravity, that if one were to look at them as any kind of indicator of Indian family, it would show us as a morally bankrupt society!!!
Yet here we have a show, it's mythical, it's about kingdoms long long ago, it's about kings and queens and their heirs and their battles, and about gods and demons, yet it is so beautifully depicting human nature, it's complexities, it's goodness and it's fallibility - it is so much more grounded and relatable to what we face and see and do in our lives!
I can relate to Sita asking too many questions, to her wanting to marry a Prince Charming, yet not wanting to go against her family, to Janak standing up for his daughter, to Rama being pained by the condition of Ahilya unfairly accused, to his dilemma about killing Tadaka, to wanting to appease kekeyi in his own way - all these somewhere correlate to my problems and my life situations.
Yet the other so called today's shows - I can't find any parallels to thiefs, murderers, perverts, liars and schemers living under the same roof as family and plotting horrendously against each other
