@Arshics in today's shows marriage is for drama. In every marriage either the marriage is forced on the bride, or on the groom, bride switching, groom switching, irritating BGM instead of pleasant BGM. They make it look like marriage in India or for that matter arranged marriages are done on basis of lies.
Then the couple take years and years to consummate their marriage, divorce is not spoken, family planning should not be there( consummation is just to show the lady pregnant), hypocrisy in the name of sanskaar( this is the worst thing I cannot tolerate)
And when I was watching DABH and MB I had made a post similarly. In one show a queen belonging to the Dwapara yuga in the most tiring circumstance a woman can face was fighting, was asking is this right and a modern so called IPS officer training in the IPS academy was looking lost and everytime stood timid remembering the vachan given to the MIL. I had to ask myself who was modern. Panchali the queen, or Sandhya Rathi the IPS officer. Who had the strength and fighting spirit the leading lady of a mythological story or the leading lady of a current soap. It was an irony.

I agree, Panchali and Maithili show far more spirit and independence than these girls of today's soap operas. And the whole hypocrisy that is built into the family setup is nauseating!

Thank God for stories like Ramayana, which can inspire and teach us lessons of life!

maybe other production houses need to watch this and learn how to accurately potray dramas! cause in the name of dramas we get criminals and sociopaths in each and every family..its horrendous!...big brother gets married to younger brothers girlfriend , sister trying to kill another sister, husband having physical relations with another woman and wife still accepts it as her fate, since he did not still see her pure heart, kids conspiring with villains, bride swapping, groom swapping, adopted family real family, dolls, kaala jadoos... its horrible...🤢🤢🤢🤢 Thank god atleast in some shows we still have sanity...and these mythological shows, are political and sociological, 😊 a rare treat

Aptly said about the Current soaps shruthi 😆
Some soaps do inspire a lot in the beginning , and when they run out of the story , they move from the main storyline and just for the sake of drama & trp's include some illogical stuff's that we have even never heard in that period 🤢

The Irony is infact very relatable this time , as most of the soaps show a family - A Background in which plotting occurs against their own family members , yet nothing is done to punish them

@ Arshics : Yup , I agree with you 😳 Our Epics is much better to watch than these soaps .

The highlighted part is the worst Suganya. Your family is supposed to be your biggest strength and they show none of the family can be trusted. And again it is in the family we first learn the good values and these soaps show no accountability for family members with evil intentions. Either issued pushed under the carpet, or forgiven. No proper punishment showing good always will suffer and evil will thrive.

You are absolutely right Arshi and Shruti. I have watched a few episodes of some serials and they really creep me out...more than 'Vampire diaries'{which I had to watch with my daughter].The things happening in a family are scarier than Stephen king's books. Everyone eavesdrops, plots against the main characters...who have to be wimps b'cos they are sanskari😲...Our Ramayan and Mahabharat are more modern and progressive than these so called mirrors of modern society . Sita was strong enough to choose to accompany her husband to the forest for 14 yrs, stay in the hellhole called Lanka without losing her self respect and dignity. She was stronger to leave her husband ,family and kingdom when her purity was questioned. She brought up her sons alone and with love and determination made them strong, independent and brave. Urmila choose to stay back to look after her husband's family when he went with his brother to the forest.
Draupadi was loyal to her 5 husbands. She survived the blow to her self respect and fought back in her own way .These are women to look up to, for even in less than ideal situations ,they stood tall and emerged victorious. This is our Sanskar not the modern crap we are subjected to.

Yup Shruthi Under the name of family drama , current soaps have actually forgot wat a real family means and showcase anything n everything for the sake of TRPs 🥱 And how everything must only be solved by the leading lady of the show and No other uses their brain 😕

Realistic approach to a family and its values is now ignored & cremated in all the national & regional shows
