"Koi hai," Ram said entering the ashram. His searching eyes rested on Sita when he saw her, "Aap."
"Jee wo main Mata Gargi se bheet kerne hetu aayi thi." The bleating of lamb in Ram's arms brought their attention to it. "Isse kya hua," Sita asked in a concerned voice.
"Ghayaal ho gaya hai, sambhavta kisi kaatedaar jhaadi mai fas gaya tha. Mujhy laga yaha per avashya isse kuch sahayata mil jayegi."
"Mata Gargi toh abhi yaha hain nahi parantu aap mere saath aayiye," she led him near the hut. Ram stopped outside the hut while Sita went inside. She was quick to identify the right herb among the various herbs kept there. She immediately returned with the mortar and pestle and the basil. Ram kept patting the lamb while she prepared the paste. "Aap isse isthaai rakhiye anyatha mai aoshadi nahi laga paaungi," she said once the paste was ready. He held it firmly while Sita applied the paste very carefully on its wounds.
Mata Gargi entered the ashram and smiled seeing the two together. She recalled how only few days ago Sita came to her with an injured goat. Her expressions showed same pain and compassion as Ram's are showing right now. She recalled her earlier conversations with Ram and thought 'Ye ek doosre ke purak hai.' She was still looking at them with affection, comprehending how similar they were and then it happened, she saw their divine form. In a moment of epiphany she realized they were Narayan and Mata Laxmi. They were not each other's better half, they were one.
