But still i find its fast.

yes, but problem is all are not Buddhist.
@bold yes. that point is very valid because I felt majority historical and mythological fictions looks more cheap publicity than creativity.I think without tampering originality we can give numerous fictions.
@italian: true but it's inevitable.as I said in another post, Ram married at teen age but in this era,I think there isn't necessary to picturize that. (but if I were Ramayana director, I would show what Valmiki Ramayana told.) so it's a hypothetical question I feel.

and Raja janak was concerned coz sita mata was superior in birth being not born by womb. raja Janak used to feel that she may not get a able match. It's total ridiculous abt adopted vs own children.

@idea-yes-virus, ok, i get your point, ramayan and ram always got adjusted by the pov of the authors who wrote the versions of it, sometimes the version deviate from the original ramayana, example, anand ramayan. so, it's the balmiki ramayana which should be always followed. then again, you can't just stop the discussions on it just because it's less "dharmik" or "bhaktibhaav" unfriendly. as for the charechters you idolise, they are beyond our understanings. aur unhe koi farak nahi padhtaa ke kaun unke bare mein kya sochtaa hain.

@jay, i have seen the way how you could alter the charecter of ravan, just removw his famous shivbhakti and the mahapaanditya of him, then he is just your ordinary bollywood villain.

Anything other than original Valmiki Ramayan is changed or distorted with the new author's inputs to it.

Nice article! Completely agree!
through Media and especially television media, culture of our country is being changed and quite deliberately.

Now they are rapidly changing us through our psyche by deliberately telling us that look in our civilization so much of corruption, we had our heroes whom we have always respected were also corrupt our gurus are no better then liers. Now we have shows like siya ke ram ,surya putra Karna and of course star Mahabharata showing all kinds words f nonsense.

I am worried for those who don't know anything about ramayan Mahabharat their first impression will be on the wrong and baseless facts I hope they do not believe in this drama and try to find out the truth. My main concern are with children who are watching it what effect it will have on their minds .
Everything being dramatized. From kaikeyi dasharath character to sita vivaah!

Till people of this country protest this thing will continue Sadly we are going towards hell of others making because we are ignoring what is being done to our country.

I totally agree with you, but one thing I would like to say is, if people are truly interested in learning about Ramayan, they will not base their knowledge off of television shows. Even viewers should have enough wisdom to know that even the best mythological shows will still have some deviations because of the nature of entertainment, so for true knowledge on the epic, people will read Valmiki Ramayan. If there are people who truly think what television shows is facts, and that shows like Siya Ke Ram are accurate, well...the less said about them the better.

However, like you I too am concerned about the children who watch this show, because children's minds are very easily molded and they grasp whatever they watch on TV as fact. Adults should be responsible and explain to them that this show is mere fiction and not accurate at all, and it'd be better if children are not exposed to shows like this until they're old enough to understand what is fact and what is fiction. As a child, I grew up with amar chitra katha books on Ramayan and Mahabharat and I am grateful that I wasn't exposed to shows like that that would have impacted my knowledge on the epics. My little brother is 9 years old, and when he watched Star Plus' Mahabharat last year, it was very impressionable on him and he thought whatever they showed was real, and I was very careful to teach him what was fiction and what was fact. That's why I have absolutely forbidden him from watching Siya Ke Ram. There is nothing accurate about it, every episode is a big distortion. He can stick to his amar chitra katha books until he's older for all I care.

Exactly, this is a HUGE HUGE HUGE distortion and very controversial for them to show!

Neither Janak, Sunaina nor her aunt and uncle were EVER worried about Sita's marriage. In fact, Sita had suitors lining up to marry her from a tender childhood age, and her parents were aware that she was a Goddess from her birth, so they were not in any hurry to marry her off to just anyone. Janak purposely created his vow of the shiv dhanush to attract none other than Lord Vishnu himself to marry her.

Arijit no.I don't have intent to stop those discussions.

if you notice, you will see I mentioned word "characters" not "gods".

Because it's hard to prove that Ramayana is sacred text or mere novel. But truth is whether Ram is God or not, His characterization believed to be Maryada Purshottam ever and ever.

It's not about "dharmik"," bakhtibhaav" or "unfriendly". It's all about our self morals. Before going to review a character,we must stick to original source. But like Janaki Akka said, watching an animated version and questioning Why King Ram failed in husband duties? I won't say that no one have rights to question Ram. But first one should prepare properly for that.
It's immoral to criticize other POV openly still I do. This forum appreciating CVS intelligence for giving morality episodes but what I can't understand was while Ramayana is highly moralized epic there what was the necessary alter to give moral thoughts? Or do CVS mean that Ramayana is just fantasy work so they are altering it to give morals?
People here have rights to praise CVS effect as Moral preaching but if anyone felt this show morals are far less than original, he shouldn't have to point out Distortions. If he do, people will oppose him without understanding his intentions. Really bad.
