@ Shruthi, though it was taken with good grace by Sita about her birth secret or shall I say her adoption status, just imagine what would have happened if the girl was affected in the reverse way. Yes as Guru, gargi did a good job by revealing Sita's truth but at the same time, if The learned Rajashri Janak had kept that as a secret so far, there might have been a reason fro that right? So without his knowledge, revealing such a sensitive point to an adolescent girl was not so sensible. Now after realizing her truth, the first thing Sita did was to reveal that to her sisters in a different way, which was not normal for Sita the straight forward girl. She just asked what if she is not their own sister but a step sister and even if for joke, if one of them says, they will disown her, wont that little heart breakdown? wont that create a superficial cliff among the kids. They will not be their own self hereafter. For ever Sita will think she occupied most of what they deserved and whatever was their share (be it the love of their parents, the elder daughter status etc) and the other kids will always have to watch their words before uttering anything in front of their beloved sister hereafter feeling scared that what if their words hurt their sister.

@jaya my post if you read carefully had addressed the points you raised. Sita didn't get it from Janak, but from Gargi that too unexpected. So I am also curious to know how Janak will address it. Because adoption is a sensitive issue. Even if the child get to know it from parents still it takes time for the child to accept it( Tamil movie: Kannathil Muthamittal deals with the adoption. Beautiful movie by Mani Ratnam that sensitively addresses how the child feels when the truth of her adoption is told to her by her parents) . Ideally parents have to tell it. Here if you see Gargi told it in a positive way. But there are many cases where the truth comes out in child's front in a negative way. So before giving society a chance it is better for parents to tell such things and support the child to traverse the journey of this truth in a positive fashion.

It is a very sensitive and psychological area as far as a child is concerned. And if you look Sita is a teenager and knowing this fact has affected her immensely. Yes she is able to connect now why she is able to talk the language of nature. Why nature understands her. But at the same time what she considers her home, her sisters, her parents have become distant to her. Her whole existence has Rajrishi Janak's daughter no longer holds true.

I am very happy that CVs have bought up this sensitive issue of adoption. Because it is a very emotional issue that needs to be dealt with a lot of empathy. I will be happy to see how Raja Janak is able to handle the questions of his daughter and the larger family about her origin.

yes Aayushi. This will lead Sita to the path of self-discovery. On her ability to raise Shiv Dhanush, the reason that Dhanush is kept as a challenge for her swayamvar and also her connect with that Raghuvansi.
